'Peacemaker' reveals new season 2 trailer set to Ozzy Osbourne's 'Road to Nowhere' at Comic-Con 2025

"That was really sad the other day, and it wasn't until this morning I remembered we had him in the trailer and in this season," James Gunn says of Osbourne. Peacemaker is paying homage to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne with a new season 2 trailer. During the DC show's Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, director James Gunn debuted the new trailer set to Osbourne's song "Road to Nowhere" (the Black Sabbath singer died on Tuesday at 76). "Ozzy Osbourne in the trailer — that was really sad the other day [when he died], and it wasn't until this morning I remembered we had him in the trailer and in this season," Gunn said. "The soundtrack this season is my favorite soundtrack I've ever done. It's a lot more modern bands, a lot more songs from the past 10-15 years or so." Check out the new trailer below: The trailer finally reveals a lot of intel on what fans can expect from the new season. It's been about a month since the events of Superman, which lead directly into Peacemaker season 2 as Peacemaker (John Cena) further explores his Quantum Unfolding Chamber, a.k.a. dimensional portal leading to parallel universes. The footage also teases more of Peacemaker's will-they-won't-they relationship with Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) and his impending conflict with Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) over killing his son Rick Flag Jr. (Joel Kinnaman) in The Suicide Squad (2021). Earlier on Saturday, the Peacemaker director and stars stopped by Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con video suite to discuss the new opening credits scene, and they all roasted new cast member Grillo for his dance moves. "He is a terrible dancer," Gunn said as everyone laughed. "But he was a trooper." "My knees were dying!" Grillo revealed. Grillo told EW that he was not thrilled about having to film the opening credits dance because he didn't know about it when he signed on to the series. "I was really against it because I'm a serious actor," Grillo said. "And I was reluctant. And little by little, I became the best dancer out of everyone."When the rest of the cast immediately denied that fact, Grillo added, "I thought so! But I had such a great time watching Tim Meadows suffer." Peacemaker finally returns with season 2 on Thursday, August 21, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, on HBO Max. Check out more of . Listen Up The Last Of Us Fans – There's Good News And Bad News About Season 3

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for season two of The Last Of Us. It's been nearly two months since that rollercoaster of a season two finale, and yet The Last Of Us is still playing with our emotions. The post-apocalyptic drama starring Bella Ramsey, Pedro Pascal and Kaitlyn Dever ended on a huge cliffhanger when the seventh and final episode of the second season aired back in May, and now it turns out we might be looking at quite a long wait until season three. In a recent interview with Variety, HBO content CEO Casey Bloys shed some light on the timeline for the next season. 'The series is definitely planned for 2027,' he explained, suggesting the same wait time (and maybe even longer) that we had between the first two seasons. However, the good news is that there's a possibility of co-creator and showrunner Craig Mazin extending the Emmy-winning show beyond three seasons. 'Craig is still working it out whether it will be two more seasons or one more long season. It hasn't been decided yet, and I'm following Craig's lead on that.' Season two focused on Ellie's quest for revenge after Joel's brutal murder by Abby, with fans expecting season three to focus on Abby's perspective of the same events, as depicted in the video game it's based on. After we only saw Pedro's character appear in season two mostly via flashbacks, the HBO exec addressed whether potentially now seeing less of Bella in the next instalment could be a challenge. 'Not from a marketing perspective, because I think the title is obviously helped by the video game, and now the first two seasons is pretty well established,' he explained. 'I kind of appreciate shows that take things and do a show from a different point of view.' The update comes following the news of a huge creative change behind the scenes, as co-creator Neil Druckmann announced he would be stepping back as co-showrunner. Executive producer and writer Halley Gross – who co-wrote The Last Of Us Part II video game and worked on several episodes of season two – also announced that she would be departing from her 'day-to-day' duties on the show 'to make space for what comes next'. The HBO content boss addressed Neil's departure in the new interview, explaining that, while it was 'fantastic to have Neil involved', people often 'don't realise that Neil has a full time job creating video games and running Naughty Dog'. He added that the game creator had 'given us a good blueprint with the show' and that 'obviously Craig is a pro, so I think we'll be in excellent shape. I'm not worried at all'. The Last Of Us is set in a post-apocalyptic world that has been ravaged by a fungus which turns humans into a zombie-like infected species. The latest series is among the frontrunners in the Emmy nominations with 16 nods this year. Related... 'It's scary at moments': Creators say 'Wednesday' season 2 will bring real stakes and fear

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. If you thought 'Wednesday' was creepy and kooky before, season 2 is about to crank the horror up several notches. According to the show's creators, Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, the new season won't just flirt with spooky but dive headfirst into intense territory. When speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Millar said: 'There's some moments which are definitely horror movie-worthy. We have that in season 1, but I think this season there are moments that are very intense, I'll say.' He added: 'Season 2 definitely has some moments which are more straightforward horror, and we're very aware that the show is watched by everybody in terms of the age groups. 'We want to make sure that it's never torture porn, but that there's enough bite to it that it feels that there are real stakes and that people die in this world, and it's scary at moments. And I think that's the great tonal shift that the show makes between comedy and horror.' After getting an early glimpse of 'Wednesday' season 2 through the official trailer (which included the first six minutes of the premiere) fans were recently treated to even more footage thanks to a brand-new trailer from the streaming service. In a chilling moment, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) has a premonition that her friend Enid (Emma Myers) is going to die, and that she'll be the one responsible. The creators also teased a shift toward a more 'complex mystery' in season 2, and it looks like Wednesday's unsettling premonition might be at the heart of it. Gough said: 'I also just feel like the world is bigger and you get to really explore other characters.' I'm genuinely glad this season is taking a darker turn as it just feels right for Wednesday. The blend of gothic horror and biting humor is what makes the Addams universe so iconic, and leaning further into the intense, eerie side of things only makes the world feel richer and more true to its roots. Ortega even said herself (h/t Vanity Fair): 'I think the feel that we're going for is a little bit more horror-inspired. Not to say that suddenly we're the goriest show of all time. I mean, there's six-year-olds watching. [For example], we're doing this thing now where Wednesday just kind of appears. She is a little bit of a jump scare herself.' "Wednesday" season 2 will be released on Netflix in two parts: Part 1 on August 6, and part 2 on September 3. Watch: Sylvia, Will 'get screwy' in 'Platonic' Season 2

July 17 (UPI) -- Apple TV+ is previewing the sophomore season of Platonic, starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as friends for over two decades. The trailer, released Thursday, shows how Will's new girlfriend impacts their platonic relationship. "Will and I always get screwy when he's in a couple," Sylvia (Byrne) tells husband Charlie (Luke Macfarlane) in the preview. "I don't wanna lose him again. If I were to replace him now, it would take 25 years for me and this new friend to catch up to where Will and I are and by then I'm practically dead and who cares?" Season 2 stars Carla Gallo, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett and Milo Manheim, and will premiere with two episodes Aug. 6. "The duo tries their best to be each other's rock, but sometimes rocks break things," the official synopsis reads. Solve the daily Crossword
