Ampang Jaya cops investigate nightmare rape of girl by 61-year-old man while mum consents and looks on
KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — A 61-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman have been arrested by city police for investigation into the horrifying rape of the latter's 13-year-old daughter last year. Ampang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said police have questioned the duo and three others, The Star reported today. 'We have questioned five people, including the suspects. 'The interview with the 13-year-old victim at the Child Interview Centre will take place tomorrow,' he was quoted as saying. From initial investigations, the girl was raped by the 61-year-old and her mother had witnessed the act. 'Recently, she overheard a conversation between the two suspects about meeting at a hotel so that the man could raped her again and it was consented by her mother,' Azam was quoted as saying. That was when the girl left her house and filed a police complaint, he added. Earlier media reports indicated that the 61-year-old was the 36-year-old woman's boyfriend. Azam said the mother worked as a security guard while the 61-year-old is a businessman. He said the two suspects were arrested on June 27 evening and are under remand until July 4.

Teen allegedly raped by mum's elderly boyfriend as she watched
The 36-year-old mother, who is a security guard, and a 61-year-old self-employed man have been arrested. PETALING JAYA : Police have arrested a 36-year-old mother and her 61-year-old boyfriend after the former's teen daughter was allegedly raped by the man as the woman watched on. Siti Kamsiah Hassan of Bukit Aman's sex crimes investigation division, said the first incident of sexual assault against the victim allegedly took place in the middle of last year when the victim was sleeping in her mum's bedroom. Siti said the victim had woken up to someone touching her, when she realised her mother and her boyfriend were next to her. 'He then proceeded to rape the victim, witnessed by her mother,' she said, according to Harian Metro. More recently, the girl came across text messages last month of the two planning to engage in sexual activity, Siti said. The man allegedly expressed his intention to have sex with the girl at a hotel, causing her to fear for her safety. She fled to a friend's house before lodging a report at the Pandan Indah police station. This led to the arrest of the mum, who works as a security guard, and her self-employed boyfriend. The pair have been remanded for a week to assist with investigations.

Search for gunman underway after security guard killed outside of Anaheim bar
Detectives are searching for the gunman who allegedly shot and killed a security guard outside of a bar in Anaheim over the weekend. The shooting happened a little before 1 a.m. in the 8000 block of Katella Avenue, outside of 99 Bottles & Cocktails, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, 48-year-old Fountain Valley man Salvador Ramirez, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. They say that he was working as a security guard at the bar when he was shot. Ramirez was taken to a nearby hospital where he died on Monday night. Investigators were unable to provide much information on the suspect, who they say an adult male who was last seen leaving the area on foot. Security guard shot in patron fight at Durban pub
A security guard was shot and wounded in an attempt to disarm a patron at a popular Durban pub on Friday night. Pinto's Hillcrest said the shooting occurred at 10.30pm after an argument broke out among customers. 'A middle-aged patron was asked to leave by security after an argument broke out between customers. He left the property as instructed by security. Security assumed he had left, [but] he went to his vehicle and returned with a firearm. 'Security noticed the man returning and intercepted the patron, at which time they attempted to grab the firearm in defence. A single shot was discharged, hitting and wounding one security officer. The patron immediately exited the building and left the premises, and all necessary personnel were contacted.' ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said the man was in a critical condition when emergency services arrived on the scene. 'Just before 11pm ALS Paramedics responded to multiple calls for assistance. Paramedics arrived on the scene to find multiple security personnel as well as the police in attendance and were shown to the wounded patient. 'The male, believed to be in his 30s, had allegedly been shot in the abdomen after an altercation with a patron. The man was in a critical condition and he was stabilised on the scene by advanced life support paramedics before he was taken to hospital for urgent care.' TimesLIVE
