1 hurt in crash between motorcycle and semi-truck in Itasca, Illinois
One person was injured in a fiery crash Friday evening in northwest suburban Itasca. Itasca Fire Protection District officials said, around 6:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a crash between a motorcycle and a semi-trailer truck near Rohlwing Road and Bryn Mawr Avenue. The truck caught fire as a result of the crash. Officials said one person was taken to the hospital, but their condition was not immediately available. There was no immediate word on the cause of the crash.

Semi-trailer truck crash snags I-55 in Plainfield, Illinois
A semi-trailer truck wiped out on Interstate 55 in Plainfield, Illinois, Tuesday afternoon, causing a major traffic jam in the southbound lanes. The crash happened on southbound I-55 at Renwick Road. The semi-trailer truck struck a concrete barrier, leaving heavy front-end damage and a ruptured fuel tank. Traffic was solid past I-355, and drivers were advised to get off at Weber Road to avoid getting stuck. Information about injuries was not immediately available.

Semi truck fire on I-65 near Lowell, Indiana, damages pavement; lanes closed for several hours
The northbound lanes of Interstate 65 in northwest Indiana will be closed for several hours near Lowell on Saturday, after a semi-trailer truck crashed and caught fire, severely damaging the pavement. Indiana State Police said a semi-trailer truck crashed and caught fire on I-65 near the Lowell Exit on Saturday morning, blocking all northbound lanes. Indiana Department of Transportation officials said the fire caused severe damage to the pavement, and the northbound lanes of I-65 would remain closed for several hours on Saturday for repairs. Northbound traffic on I-65 was being diverted off at State Road 10 (exit 230). ‼️⚠️ TRAFFIC ALERT - I-65 NB at MM 238 in Lake County ⚠️‼️ All lanes of I-65 northbound continue to be closed at MM 238 (north of SR 10, south of SR 2) after a semi fire.
