Shackleton Line now open after crash involving cyclist

The closure between McArthur Street and Willey Road took effect around 9:30 p.m. after the incident between a pickup truck and a cyclist. Motorists were asked to avoid the area. There is no word on how the crash happened or the extent of any injuries.

Police have confirmed a serious crash in the town involving a car crashing into a house on Coatesville-Riverhead Highway. A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they had four critical patients still at the scene of the crash. He said St John had sent four ambulances, four rapid response units, two operations managers and a major incident support vehicle. The spokesperson said it was likely the critically injured would be transferred to Auckland City Hospital. The road is currently closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible. Pedestrian seriously injured in cottage country collision
Provincial police are investigating what they are deeming a 'serious' crash in Fenelon Falls Friday morning between a vehicle and a pedestrian. According to City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, emergency crews responded to the incident at around 10:30 a.m. on Lindsay Street near Green Road. Police say a vehicle that was travelling north on Lindsay Street struck a pedestrian while they were crossing the street, later confirming that the pedestrian suffered serious injuries. The area was closed to allow for investigators to work on the scene. Police are asking anyone with additional footage or information that may assist the ongoing investigation to contact City of Kawartha Lakes OPP.
