Telemundo Unveils ‘El Señor De Los Cielos' Spinoff ‘Dinastía Casillas' Cast, Begins Production
The "Dinastía Casillas" cast pose for a photo as part of the series' production kick-off in Mexico. Telemundo is reigniting the El Señor de los Cielos universe with Dinastía Casillas, a spinoff of one of the network's most successful super series, which ran for nine seasons. The new chapter in the iconic franchise sets the stage for a high-stakes saga centered on family, legacy, and the relentless pursuit of power. Production kicked off in Mexico this week, where Telemundo unveiled the cast. Iván Arana (El Señor de los Cielos, La Jefa) leads the ensemble as Ismael Casillas. He is joined by María Fernanda Yepes (Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso, José José: El Príncipe de la Canción). Also featured are actors Raúl Méndez (El Señor de los Cielos, Enemigo íntimo) and Isabella Castillo (El Señor de los Cielos, Sed de Venganza), both of whom are familiar faces to fans of the original series. The star-studded cast also includes Roberto Sosa, Robinson Díaz, Plutarco Haza, Ianis Guerrero, Karen Sandoval, David Palacio, Ximena González Rubio, Gonzalo Vega Jr., Ana González Bello, Alan Slim, Wendy de los Cobos, Carlos Corona, Leonardo Álvarez, Alejandro Aguilar, Christian Gnecco, Alexis Juárez, Luciana Silveyra, Vanessa Acosta, David Ponce, Florencia Ríos, Ana Sofía Gatica, Jesusa Ochoa, and Sandra Quiroz. "Dinastía Casillas marks a bold new era for one of our most iconic franchises," says Javier Pons, Chief Content Officer and Head of Telemundo Studios. "With a stellar ensemble of both returning and new talent, gripping storytelling, and the high production values our audience expects, this new chapter will not only reignite the passion of longtime fans, but also captivate a new generation of viewers." The series, announced in May during the Upfronts, picks up after the disappearance of Aurelio Casillas, the legendary patriarch played by Rafael Amaya in the original El Señor de los Cielos. As the Casillas family faces new threats and shifting alliances, Ismael and Diana Casillas embark on a mission to rescue Aurelio and Rutila. They face danger as old enemies resurface and new power struggles emerge, leading to a dramatic confrontation with El Gancho's cartel. The stakes rise even higher when Elizabeth, Chema's ex-wife, returns from Milan to join the fight for control and forge a new alliance with the Casillas. Dinastía Casillas is produced by Telemundo Studios, written by Juan Camilo Ferrand and directed by Javier Fox Patrón, Mauricio Corredor, and Laura Marco Lavilla. The production team includes Juan Carlos Lazo, Ricardo Garfias, and Alejandro Tellez as directors of photography, with Marisa Pecanins as production designer. Mónica Vizzi serves as executive producer, and Mabel Vargas is the general producer.

Holcim North American Spinoff Amrize Slips in Trading Debut
(Bloomberg) -- Amrize Ltd.'s shares fell in Switzerland following the North American cement-maker's spinoff from Holcim Ltd, as the building materials conglomerate looks to unlock value through a separate listing. Bezos Wedding Draws Protests, Soul-Searching Over Tourism in Venice One Architect's Quest to Save Mumbai's Heritage From Disappearing NYC Congestion Toll Cuts Manhattan Gridlock by 25%, RPA Reports Shares in the US cement-maker closed down 15% at 39.31 Swiss francs ($48.38) apiece in Zurich, compared to the reference price of 46.08 Swiss francs stated in a notice from the Swiss stock exchange. The closing price gives Amrize a market capitalization of around 22.3 billion Swiss francs. Shares were trading at $49 in New York. Meanwhile, the remaining firm Holcim Ltd.'s shares closes 14% higher at 54.3 Swiss francs from a reference price of 47.60 Swiss francs apiece. Shareholders in Holcim were given one Amrize share for each one they held in the parent company. Read: Can Holcim's US Spinoff Cement a Higher Valuation?: ECM Watch Amrize is the largest cement provider in the US and Canada as measured by sales and production volume, according to a letter to shareholders earlier this month. It has more than 1,000 sites and 19,000 employees across North America and in 2024 it generated $11.7 billion in revenue — a 13% compound annual growth rate from 2021, according to a statement on Monday. Vontobel analyst Mark Diethelm launched coverage of Amrize with a hold rating on Monday, saying the US construction market is challenging in the near-term and he expects near-term volatility in the share price. Jan Jenisch, who is both chief executive officer and chairman, said last year that his own valuation for Amrize's valuation was around $50 billion, although a lot has changed since then. Bloomberg Intelligence said Amrize could reach a valuation exceeding $36.2 billion. Jenisch wants to grow through mergers and acquisitions, particularly on the building solutions side of the business, which has higher multiples and gives a better return on invested capital. Amrize is the largest cement company in North America and the second-largest commercial roofing company in the region, according to an investor presentation. Amrize's shares are listed in both Zurich and New York under the symbol AMRZ. --With assistance from Matthew Griffin. (Updates shares in 2nd and 3rd paragraphs with European closing values.)
