EXCLUSIVE Cher DRAGGED into troubled son Elijah Blue Allman's divorce as ex wife slams his family's trust funds
Elijah Blue Allman's estranged wife, Marieangela King, is seemingly ready to battle her ex and his wealthy family after dragging his superstar mother Cher into their nasty divorce. The 37-year-old singer filed for divorce from Elijah, 48, on April 8 after 11 years of marriage, citing 'irreconcilable differences.' At the time, she also demanded $6,000 a month in spousal support and 'exclusive use of [their] 2017 Toyota Prius', according to court documents. Now, new court filings, obtained by Daily Mail, reveal Marieangela filed a request for order for spousal support and attorney's fees, urging the court to grant temporary spousal support in the amount of $6,500 per month and $10,000 for attorney's fees. The filing comes shortly after Elijah was discharged from a hospital following a 'drug overdose' on June 14, as reported by TMZ. Daily Mail confirmed via the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department that the son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman was rushed to the hospital last Saturday after he was found 'acting erratically.' They added that drugs were discovered inside the home, and that an investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Meanwhile, Elijah's ex, Marieangela (who goes by her stage name 'Queenie King'), is making a desperate plea with the court to order Elijah to pay her since she claims she has very little income. The self-proclaimed 'housewife' and 'homemaker' from Los Angeles revealed in the court docs that her total assets, including money in her checking and savings accounts, is $3,651.96... which is not nearly enough to cover her alleged expenses of $12,000 per month ($5,000 of this is for rent and $1,500 is for groceries and household supplies). She alleged in the June 20 court filing that she hasn't had income since she put her career on hold since 2009 'to attend to domestic duties and support Elijah's career.' 'I was very lucky to live an amazing life with my husband. I have sacrificed my professional career for the past 11+ years of marriage to support my husband in line with his family's wishes,' she said in the filing. She also informed the court that the 'entertainment market is difficult' and that she has not been able to develop her career while supporting Elijah 'and his families priorities especially under such a high profile magnifier and given no specific support to do so.' Having no support at all, she claims that she can't even afford to go to film school, which is $80,000 for two years, to build a career and said that it will 'take time for me to enter the work force and support myself.' She reasoned, 'My request for temporary spousal support is below my marital standard. Even below the marital standard, I need support to pay rent and cover my basic needs and money in order to seek further education and employment in order to become self supporting.' She added that he was the 'sole provider' during their marriage - with him covering her health and auto insurance plans - and claims that 'he was getting a minimum of $20,000 a month from two separate accounts and that was just an advance of what he was owed.' In addition, she claims he was receiving 'regular' income from various sources, including being a partner in family business (The Allman Brothers brand and related Music, Publishing, Merchandising income and assets), music residuals and royalties, 'trust funds and major contributions coming to him from family and his mother, Cher.' She specified that he was getting 'financial support directly from his Mother,' which was 'used to subordinate our lifestyle.' Cher, who reportedly has a net worth of $360 million, has publicly had a longtime feud with her daughter-in-law. So much so, that 'Queenie' is ready to fight. A source told Daily Mail, 'Marieangela believes the financial support she's asking for is warranted. She knows that Cher will want to fight her over this. She is used to it.' The aspiring entertainer has made it clear in the court docs that his famous family has money and that he can afford her attorney's fees and costs - at the rate of $300 per hour - from his sources of income, including his 'bank, estate, earnings, business distributions, his music LLC, family and institutions.' But, she assures the court that spousal support is not needed to help fund the luxe 'marital standard' she lived with Elijah, she alleges she needs $6,500 in monthly spousal support 'in order to pay for basic living expenses and obtain a vehicle.' 'We had a very high standard of living during the marriage. We lived in luxurious residences and hotels, traveled, ate at expensive restaurants,' she wrote. 'I am not asking for support sufficient to support me at our marital standard. I am asking for support to cover basic living expenses in order to move forward with efforts to become self supporting.' She detailed: '[Elijah] and I had a high standard of living during the marriage. We've traveled Europe staying in 5 star hotels. We lived in our Beverly Hills home and at our family home in Malibu. 'I've had access to private pools, gyms, chefs, maids, a therapist. We dine out at Mr Chows, Nobu, Chateau Marmont. I've flown on private planes, flown first & business class, stayed at the mansion in Vegas.' Elijah was just seen last month at celebrity hotspot Chateau Marmont where he appeared to have hit rock bottom in a shambling, zombie-like disheveled ruin - as revealed in astonishing pictures and video exclusively obtained by Daily Mail. Marieangela stated that discovery, through valuation and forensic accounting, is needed to determine the value of their marital property and assets. 'I am asking the Court to direct full financial disclosure from Respondent (Allman), including business, trust, and personal accounts, and to authorize forensic tracing of all funds used to support our marital lifestyle,' she wrote, explaining that she has 'no access to communal assets or income.' She continued: 'A full disclosure of the business' finances and Respondent's share is necessary to determine what portion of those funds are community property or have been commingled.' She also reiterated: 'I am not requesting excess or luxury. I am requesting the Court's help in obtaining clarity and fairness, because without full financial disclosure and the ability to respond, I cannot safely or meaningfully engage in these proceedings.' Elijah has yet to file his response to the divorce or speak out in the public regarding any of her claims. A source, however, told Daily Mail that things between the couple could get ugly, especially if they're not seeing eye-to-eye with claims she's made. 'There's no doubt that Marieangela has supported Elijah emotionally and even financially at times throughout their marriage. But saying she completely put her career on hold since 2009 for him feels like a stretch,' the source insisted, while noting that she released 'several solo albums over the past 15 years.' 'Elijah has always encouraged her and helped her whenever he could. Their support for each other was mutual.' They continued, 'She had to show more love and patience during his relapses and low points, but their marriage had its highs too. While she may feel like she's been held back in some ways, it's not entirely fair to say she gave up her whole career for him.' At the same time, the source said that Marieangela 'gave everything she could to this marriage... but couldn't keep him sober.' The source added, 'Elijah has to want [sobriety] for himself, and right now, she feels he has put his love for his substance abuse issues before his love for her.' The source noted that his estranged wife had fought for him to get out of a Mexican rehab years ago, and then watched him sadly relapse again. In 2023, he was found passed out at Chateau Marmont, which prompted his mother to intervene and attempt to gain conservatorship of him after concerns of his mental health and substance abuse. But her attempt to win legal control over his financial and personal affairs foundered in court and Cher dropped the bid in September 2024. Cher's longtime feud was brought up in court documents at the time when she alleged that his now-ex wife had not been 'supportive of Elijah's recovery and... actively works to keep Elijah from getting clean and sober or receiving mental health treatment that he desperately needs'. Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Cher, Elijah and Marieangela for comment. The former couple has had a tumultuous relationship. They got married in December 2013 and first filed for divorce in 2021. After Elijah filed the petition, he eventually decided to reconcile with Marieangela and call the divorce off in 2024. The couple then separated on March 31, 2025, according to King's petition for divorce filed in April of this year. On June 23, a court order for family-centered case resolution conference was filed, which is a standard ask from the court in divorces to have both parties meet and confer about the case and explore potential resolutions outside of the court. A hearing for spousal support, however, has been scheduled for August.

Cher's Troubled Son Served Divorce Papers Demanding Support Days After Looking Disheveled in L.A.
's troubled son, Elijah Blue Allman, was served legal papers by his estranged wife days after being spotted looking disheveled at a Hollywood hot spot, In Touch can exclusively report. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, last week, Elijah's ex, Marieangela King Allman, notified the court she had him personally served on May 17 at 5:50 p.m. at a three-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in North Hollywood, California, worth an estimated $1 million. Marieangela filed for divorce from Elijah, 48, on April 8 in Los Angeles Superior Court. She listed the date of marriage as December 1, 2013, and the date of separation as March 31. The exes have been married 11 years and three months, according to the filing. In her petition, obtained by In Touch, Marieangela said they had no children. She cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split. Marieangela demanded Elijah pay her spousal support and his ability to collect any support be cut off. She asked that the spousal support be paid retroactive to the date of the filing, 'with credit for any funds voluntarily paid.' She requested $6,000 per month in temporary spousal support based on the 'marital standard and ability for [Elijah] to pay.' Marieangela also asked for exclusive use of the home they shared their 2017 Toyota Prius V. She said if Elijah kept the car, she requested an additional $2,000 one-time payment and an additional $500 per month in spousal support for a car. Marieangela asked the court to order Elijah to cough up another $10,000 to pay for her legal fees. 'if the parties settle this matter before these funds are expended, [Elijah] shall receive the balance of the retainers, if any. If attorney fees and expert fees are expended, [Elijah] will pay all additional fees for both him and [Angelamarie] through entry of final judgment,' her petition requested. "We had a beautiful 13-year journey, filled with memories I'll always cherish. I know we'll remain friends, and Elijah will always hold a special place in my heart," Marieangela told People about the split. She ended, "As we turn the page to this next chapter, we kindly ask for privacy and truly appreciate your understanding." Elijah previously filed for divorce from Marieangela in 2021. He dismissed the case in early 2024 amid his court battle with his mom, Cher, 78. Cher rushed to court in late 2023 pleading for a conservatorship over Elijah. Elijah's dad is Cher's musician ex, Gregg Allman, who died in 2017. 'Elijah is substantially unable to manage his financial resources due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues,' Cher's filing read. 'Elijah is entitled to regular distributions from a trust established by his father for his benefit, but given his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues, [Cher] is concerned that any funds distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself, and putting Elijah's life at risk,' her lawyer added. Cher told the court that her son had been paid over a million dollars from his father's estate but did not have a savings. The legendary pop star called out her son's wife, Marieangela. Her lawyer alleged Marieangela, 'is not supportive of Elijah's recovery and that Angela actively works to keep Elijah from getting clean and sober or receiving mental health treatment that he desperately needs.' The petition added, 'Most recently, [Cher] is informed and believes that Angela took steps to check Elijah out of the treatment center where he was receiving much-needed medical care.' Maireangela scoffed at the claims in court. At the time, she said, 'We live together as a married couple and I see the irrefutable daily effort he is making to stay sober. He attends AA meetings 5-6 times a week, he is free of drugs." She added, "He is tending to his finances, getting his bills paid, and ensuring that his property is under his control.' Marieangela claimed Cher was not fit to serve as conservator and accused her of being unable to manage her 'own affairs.' For his part, Elijah opposed his mom's request to place him under a conservatorship. He argued he had been clean for several months and did not need his mom controlling his life. In late 2024, Cher dismissed her request for a conservatorship after reaching a deal with her son. On May 9, Page Six posted photos of Elijah looking a disheveled outside Chateau Marmont. The outlet reported Cher's son exhibited 'concerning behavior' at the Hollywood hot spot. Elijah was seen with 'swollen ankles and wore a single red acrylic fingernail on his right ring finger,' the outlet reported. Elijah has yet to respond to Marieangela's divorce petition.

Without a Prenup, David Geffen's Divorce Could Get Interesting
For a man whose name is affixed to concert halls, medical programs and drama schools, David Geffen probably never wanted his name where it landed last week: on divorce papers. Mr. Geffen, 82, was the instigator in a divorce petition filed on Friday in Los Angeles, signaling a split from his husband of two years, David Armstrong, a 32-year-old dancer he married in March 2023. While the legal grounds were familiar to anyone with a passing knowledge of divorce — 'irreconcilable differences,' according to the petition — the circumstances of the dissolution raised some eyebrows because of one detail: The petition also indicates that Mr. Armstrong did not sign a prenuptial agreement with Mr. Geffen, the entertainment mogul whose net worth has been estimated at more than $8 billion. Whether that will lead to financial distress for Mr. Geffen remains to be seen, say experts in California divorce law. The filing last week shows that Mr. Geffen intends to pay spousal support, which — considering the brevity of the marriage — is generally disbursed over a period equal to about half the length of a marriage. Still, that support could be sizable considering the luxurious world in which Mr. Geffen — and, until recently, Mr. Armstrong — resided. Samantha Bley DeJean, a family law attorney in San Francisco, said she would guess that the couple's lifestyle 'was fairly significant,' though she also noted that Mr. Geffen could probably afford whatever the court deemed support to be. 'No matter how nice their lifestyle is, his net worth is so significant that I could imagine that any spousal support that he'd be ordered to pay probably will not make a dent for him,' said Ms. Bley DeJean. What led to the breakup is unclear, though the two men had very different public personas and were separated by a half-century age gap. Mr. Armstrong, who The New York Post described as 'a former go-go dancer with a murky past,' has a limited social media presence, though he posted several selfies — some shirtless — on Instagram in 2017 and 2018. He has also used the name Donovan Michaels, per court papers. Mr. Geffen rose from modest beginnings in Brooklyn to become one of the world's best producers, in multiple mediums, including rock 'n' roll, where he was central to the careers of the Eagles and Jackson Browne and worked with Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. (Known as a sometimes bruising boss, Mr. Geffen had falling-outs and legal battles with some of those figures.) He dated Cher and Marlo Thomas before coming out as gay in 1992. Mr. Geffen's credits also include the films 'Risky Business' and 'Beetlejuice,' as well as the original Broadway production of 'Cats.' In 1994, he formed DreamWorks Pictures with Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg; the company was sold to Paramount for $1.6 billion 12 years later. In 2008, at 65, he effectively stepped away from the business. In recent years, Mr. Geffen has been more likely to be found on his yacht, the Rising Sun, or at one of his homes, which include an estate in the Hamptons. Mr. Geffen's relative lack of current business ventures — and the briefness of his marriage — may actually work out in his favor financially, lawyers say. Under California law, Mr. Armstrong would be entitled to half what was earned by Mr. Geffen through the broad terms of 'time, skill and effort' during the marriage, said Ms. Bley DeJean, but not from more passive means like residuals or dividends. Moreover, that so-called community property is limited to the moment you marry until the moment 'of separation,' which is roughly defined as when the relationship was over. (In Mr. Geffen's case, he put that date in late February, though he didn't file for divorce until mid-May.) That's only about 23 months of income for Mr. Geffen. What could be more problematic is public perception, said Ms. Bley DeJean, who has represented celebrity clients like Angelina Jolie and Claire Boucher, the singer who is known professionally as Grimes. 'They have all the same issues and problems that you and I have, usually with a lot more zeros,' she said. 'And their life is under a microscope.' It's not clear why Mr. Geffen, known as a tough and savvy negotiator, did not apparently have a prenup. Mr. Geffen's lawyer, Laura Wasser, did not return requests for comments; Mr. Armstrong also could not be reached for comment. But Susan Myres, a family law specialist in Houston and a former president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, said that some couples were reluctant to make such an agreement because of the message it could send. 'One reason he might not have insisted on one is he didn't want his husband to think he didn't trust him,' Ms. Myres said. 'That is a huge trigger for a lot of people: 'You're planning our divorce!'' Early indications are that the Geffen-Armstrong divorce is amicable thus far — there have been no tabloid tell-all interviews, no accusations in court or elsewhere. And Ms. Myres said that, in her experience, it often behooved 'high-wealth, high-profile people' to be civil, despite the stakes involved. 'It doesn't do either of them any good to go all vitriolic,' she said. 'So if they're keeping things close to the vest, great for them,' she added. Still, while the marriage was brief, Mr. Myres also said that Mr. Armstrong probably wouldn't be hurting for money any time soon. 'If he plans well,' she said, 'he could be nicely set up.'

Nikki Garcia breaks silence on brutal divorce payout to Artem Chigvintsev... and where they really stand now
Nikki Garcia isn't holding back when it comes to her costly divorce from Artem Chigvintsev. The former WWE star, 41, opened up about her recent court-ordered settlement on Thursday, revealing she was forced to shell out $200,000 of her 'hard-earned money' in spousal support to her ex, Dancing with the Stars pro Chigvintsev, 42. The judge also ordered Garcia—formerly known as Nikki Bella—to pay $3,500 a month in child support for their 4-year-old son, Matteo. The pair will split the cost of his extracurriculars moving forward, and custody will be shared, according to court documents. Speaking candidly on the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, the reality star confirmed the terms of her split from Artem — and gave fans an honest update on where things stand between them now. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Our settlement is what everyone saw. Yes, I had to give him $200,000. Spousal support, alimony,' she said, as twin sister Brie chimed in, 'That's what happens when you're the breadwinner.' But according to Nikki, the $200K payout didn't leave her bitter — in fact, she shocked listeners by admitting she 'got a steal' in the deal. 'Which is crazy to say,' she added. The Total Bellas star also revealed a jaw-dropping comment from the judge who oversaw their private mediation. 'Our judge said at the end of it, "This is the first time in all the years I've done this where a woman had to pay a man,"' Nikki recalled. '"You should be so damn proud that you built such an empire that someone wants a piece of it."' The comment hit hard — but also struck a nerve of pride. 'It was nice to hear that… even though it hurts because I broke my neck for that money,' she said. 'That money, all that is my hard-earned money.'' Nikki added she promised the judge that any future husband will be signing a prenup. As for the $3,500 a month in child support, Nikki said she's fine with it — because it's all about Matteo. 'Child support is so the child could have an equal life in both homes,' she explained. 'I don't even think twice about it… that is making sure Matteo is also 50/50, half of his other time is a good life.' Despite the split and drama, Nikki said she and Artem are finally in a solid place. 'We are co-parenting so amazing, and it makes Matteo's life so amazing, and I don't want it any other way.' She also made it clear that their divorce had 'nothing to do' with the highly publicized incident in August 2024, when Artem was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Napa County. No charges were filed. Artem later told People he was 'incredibly relieved and grateful' that the case was dropped. 'This has been an extremely difficult time for me. I am thankful that the truth has prevailed.' The DWTS pro emphasized his focus remains on fatherhood, calling Matteo 'the greatest blessing' and pledging to continue providing 'the love, support, and care he needs' as they move forward.
