Man without a license allegedly steals motorcycle in Nanakuli
Honolulu police arrested a 47-year-old man late Saturday after pulling him over and allegedly discovering he was driving a stolen motorcycle. The man was stopped at about 11 :10 p.m. Saturday night in the Nanakuli area on suspicion of 'excessive speeding ' according to a description of the arrest from the Honolulu Police Department. A check of the motorcycle revealed it was stolen. The 47-year-old man was arrested at 11 :22 p.m. in the 92-0200 block of Farrington Highway in Nanakuli. The suspect was booked on suspicion of stealing the motorcycle, speeding and driving without a license. He remains in police custody. His identity was not immediately released. Motorcyclist crashes stolen bike after police chase in Wisconsin
HOLMEN, Wis. (WFRV) – A 41-year-old Wisconsin man is in custody after leading police on a high-speed chase Thursday night that ended when he crashed a stolen motorcycle. The Holmen Police Department says officers attempted a traffic stop on Jonathon Gerow of Onalaska around 7:45 p.m. for speeding on U.S. Highway 53 near County Road MH. Prior to the stop, Gerow was reportedly going nearly 90 miles per hour. Gerow eventually exited onto County Road OT, lost control in a ditch, but regained control and kept fleeing. Authorities say he crossed into the eastbound lane of OT, over the median, and struck the north curb. The motorcycle flipped several times before coming to rest near a fence. Gerow got up and tried to flee again, resisting arrest as officers attempted to detain him. He was eventually subdued and taken by ambulance for medical clearance before being booked into the La Crosse County Jail. Investigators later learned the motorcycle was reported stolen out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Middletown arrest made in motor vehicle crash that involved stolen motorcycle out of Wall
MIDDLETOWN ― A man on a stolen motorcycle who is accused of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Monday has been apprehended, according to township Police Chief R. Craig Weber. Michael Crupi, 48, of Parsippany, is charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, obstruction, resisting arrest, possession of suspected crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglar's tools, unlawful possession of a knife, credit card theft, possession of false documents, driving while intoxicated, being an unlicensed driver, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and several other motor vehicle violations, police said. About 12:45 p.m. Monday, July 21, Middletown Police responded to the scene of an accident involving two cars and one motorcycle in the area of Route 35 and Cherry Tree Farm Road, Weber said in a statement. When officers arrived, they learned that the motorcycle fled the area immediately after the crash, Weber said. Patrolman Salvatore Albanese then located the motorcycle and its operator in the area of Wilson Avenue and Route 36, the chief said. As Albanese approached the operator ― later identified as Crupi ― he ran from the scene, the statement said. After a brief foot chase, Albanese and Detetective Lt. Brian McGrogan apprehended the suspect. The motorcycle had been previously reported stolen out of Wall Township, Weber said. Crupi was processed and taken to the Monmouth County Jail in Freehold Township, where he remained on Wednesday evening. Homemade licence plate leads police to stolen motorcycle in Kingston, Ont.
Police in Kingston, Ont. say officers noticed a homemade licence plate on a stolen motorcycle. (Kingston Police/release) A 35-year-old man is facing charges after a police officer discovered a 'homemade' licence plate on a stolen motorcycle in Kingston, Ont., according to police. The Kingston Police Service says officers on proactive patrol in the city's north end noticed what appeared to be a 'homemade' licence plate on a motorcycle at a gas station. 'Upon noticing the officers, the individual attempted to leave the area on foot, leaving the bike behind,' police said in a media release. 'Through the course of investigation, officers determined that the motorcycle was on file as stolen. The individual was stopped a short distance away and arrested for possession of property obtained by crime.' A photo on the motorcycle showed a white plate with 'ONT 8R5Z2' in bold blue lettering. The Kingston resident is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break-in instruments and two counts of breach of probation. The motorcycle was returned to the registered owner in working condition, police said.

Motorcycle theft suspect shot, killed by police in Whatcom County, WA
The Brief A man was fatally shot by police after firing a handgun from a boat on Cain Lake. The shooting happened during a police pursuit concerning a stolen motorcycle on Saturday night. A separate law enforcement agency will investigate the circumstances of the officer-involved shooting. SUDDEN VALLLEY, Wash. - A 34-year-old man from Cape Horn was shot and killed by police in Whatcom County on Saturday night. Timeline The incident started around 7:30 p.m. when Washington State Patrol officers report attempting to stop a stolen motorcycle on northbound I-5. Police say a man driving did not comply and led officers on a pursuit before abandoning the motorcycle at Alger Cain Lake Road. The man then fled on foot and eventually boarded a small boat on Cain Lake, a small body of water surrounded by homes. Officers say he then began firing a handgun in multiple directions. He was the only person on the boat. The Whatcom County SWAT team responded to the scene, and officers shot the man. They were able to bring him back to land and provided first aid. He was transported by ambulance but ultimately died of his injuries. The man's identity has not yet been released, pending official determination of the cause of death by the Whatcom County Medical Examiner's Office. What's next Investigators have contacted several homes surrounding Cain Lake, and no injuries from gunfire have been reported. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to contact investigators. The incident involved law enforcement officers from the Washington State Patrol, Whatcom County Sheriff's Office, and other agencies within Whatcom and Skagit counties.
