Justin Thomas Champions Sun Safety On And Off The Green
WearSPF, the sun protection brand founded by Justin Thomas, recently launched a summer-inspired ... More collaboration with Garage Beer. An unexpected diagnosis can change anyone's perspective, and for PGA Tour star Justin Thomas, discovering melanoma in his twenties became a profound turning point. In this interview, Thomas shares the deeply personal story behind his commitment to sun safety, unveiling how this experience propelled him to co-found WearSPF, a new line of high-performance sun protection. In the conversation, we dive into his journey from elite athlete to passionate advocate, exploring how he balanced his demanding golf career with the hands-on creation of a brand designed to educate and protect fellow athletes. Dave Knox: Can you share more about your experience with discovering Melanoma? Justin Thomas: As a young athlete, I didn't take sun exposure seriously. And in 2019, my dermatologist discovered a small mole on my leg in the early stages of melanoma. Fortunately, the cancer was caught in time and surgically removed but I was forever changed by the entire experience. I wish I had paid more attention as a young athlete to the importance of sunscreen. As a golfer, I'm in the sun a lot. I applied sunscreen but what I didn't realize was the importance of reapplying throughout the day. Knox: There are many cases of professional athletes endorsing products, but you built WearSPF from the ground up. Can you share the story of its creation and your hands-on involvement in building the brand? Thomas: Knowing how close I was to a life-threatening situation was a real wake-up call for me. Since my experience with melanoma, I was always on the lookout for a better sunscreen. I couldn't find a high quality sunscreen at an affordable price so I decided to make my own. I got connected to a great manufacturing facility called Milbar Laboratories that specializes in OTC and sunscreen. It was most important to me that this line be a very high-quality formula at an appropriate price. WearSPF is my passion project with my goal being to educate youth athletes on the importance of sun safety. I'm a new father and leaving this legacy behind is deeply personal, now more than ever. Knox: Talk to me about how you believe the sun impacts your performance and why this education is important. Thomas: Sunscreen can literally save lives - and that's the message I want to send. Beyond that, competing in the sun isn't the same if you aren't protected. I have felt the impacts of a sunburn -lethargy, achy, etc. It severely hinders your ability to move around and play at your best. On the WearSPF website we have helpful information on how to self-check, when to see a dermatologist and general rules for skin cancer prevention, like aways wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen. Knox: What is your skin/suncare routine? Thomas: I apply the WearSPF Mineral Performance Sunscreen Spray before I go outside. Then, reapply at the 7th and 14th tee with the stick so my hands don't get greasy. Now, I'm more mindful to try to walk on the shady side of the fairway. My favorite product is the WearSPF 50 Sunscreen Sport Stick which is great for athletes. The sport stick is portable, water-resistant, broad spectrum SPF 50 sports stick for face and body - perfect for an active, on-the-go lifestyle. Use on your face, ears, lips, or any other targeted spots. Knox: How is WearSPF marketing specifically to outdoor athletes and not being another 'beach sunscreen'? Thomas: WearSPF is a high quality and high performance suncare product line available at an affordable, accessible price. It's all about prevention and performance. WearSPF is more than the brand name - it's a call to action, especially to young athletes competing in the sun, that they have to be applying and reapplying sunscreen. There are a lot of misconceptions about sunscreen out there. Our formulas are oxybenzone-free, water- and sweat-resistant, and designed lightweight unlike typical sport sunscreens that leave you feeling sticky or break down in the heat of competition. We also believe education is a big part of protection. Studies show sunburn can impair physical performance and contribute to dehydration. Wearing sunscreen isn't just about preventing burns — it's part of a complete performance routine that helps protect skin, regulate hydration, and support body temperature during activity and recovery. Knox: What is the latest and greatest with WearSPF Thomas: We recently partnered with Garage Beer on a limited-edition Garage Beer x WearSPF custom can. It's an easy-to-apply broad spectrum SPF 50 sports spray for face and body—your ultimate sidekick for sunny days. Infused with super-nourishing antioxidant ingredients - green tea + carrot extract, avocado oil, and vitamin E, to keep the skin replenished and hydrated. I'm pumped to be kicking off this collaboration between Garage Beer and WearSPF. This partnership is perfect for long days on the course, watching football or hanging in the backyard. Their brand aligns so well with what we're building over at WearSPF which is enjoying the outdoor lifestyle - light, simple, and fun. WearSPF goes beyond sunscreen! We also launched a premium shaving cream that is designed to deliver a clean, close shave while protecting and nourishing your skin. It cushions every stroke to reduce irritation and redness. Whether you're tackling a five o'clock tee time shadow or prepping for the day ahead, WearSPF Shaving Cream leaves your skin smooth, refreshed, and ready for the sun. Knox: What is the connection between the Justin Thomas Foundation and WearSPF? Thomas: A portion of proceeds from every sale of WearSPF goes directly to the Justin Thomas Foundation. The Justin Thomas Foundation positively impacts children in need, junior golf, and military families with the intent of helping all achieve their full potential. The goals of the Justin Thomas Foundation reflect the altruistic aspirations of the Thomas family. By funding programming and fulfilling requests of those in need, they are committed to showing compassion, displaying kindness, and making a difference in the world.

Experts reveal what to wear during a heatwave if you want to look stylish AND stay UV protected - and what to avoid
Summer has well and truly hit the UK with soaring temperatures leaving Brits sweltering - and wondering what to wear to stay coolly and stylishly protected from the sun. With temperatures expected to rise to a scorching 34C in London on Monday, many will be wondering how to balance comfort, style and sun safety - but fret not as there is a way. Stylists Natasha King and Rebekah Roy told Femail that looking your best this summer doesn't mean sacrificing comfort - or breaking the bank. King said a breezy maxi dress, an oversized sun hat, strappy sandals and a linen shirt should be among your summer wardrobe staples. Roy revealed that a cotton bra and t-shirt combination is the 'secret insider tip' for keeping cool in high temperatures. Materials like linen, cotton and bamboo were given the green light by both fashion pros as they are light and airy. While it might be tempting to show a bit of skin to relieve yourself in hot weather, Roy advised against revealing clothing. 'The best pieces to wear during a heatwave while still looking fashionable are floaty dresses, oversize shirts and wide leg trousers,' she said. Rebekah Roy (pictured) revealed that a cotton bra and t-shirt combination is the 'secret insider tip' for keeping cool in high temperatures 'Nothing too short or skimpy as you want to protect your skin from sunburn. You want airflow and you want to avoid anything that traps the heat.' Natasha added: 'A big myth is that less clothing equals more comfort in the heat; not true! Opt instead for loose-fitting garments with long sleeves for better coolness and UV protection.' She said synthetic fabrics like polyester should be avoided as they trap heat. Both style gurus say to steer towards lighter hues like creams, whites and pastels that reflect sunlight rather than dark, heat-absorbing colours. 'Light colours are your best friends in summer. Think whites, pastels, light blues, and soft pinks. These shades reflect sunlight rather than absorbing it, keeping you cooler,' King said. FLOATY FROCKS Light maxi dresses are a top choice in summer for their versatility, coverage and style. They are a fuss-free choice as they can be thrown on with a pair of sandals or sneakers and you're ready to go. You can also dress up and down for any occasion whether it be a quick trip to the supermarket or brunch with the girls. Breezy maxi dresses come in all shapes, sizes, colours and patterns so anyone will be able to find a style that suits them. Colours like butter yellow, powder pink, tangerine and chocolate brown are all trending these summer months according to King. 'Every season has its must-have colours, and this summer it's all about butter yellow.(It's) perfect for brightening your wardrobe with a soft, warm touch,' she said. 'Powder pink adds a timeless grace and chic elegance to any outfit. Tangerine infuses bold energy and a vibrant pop for eye-catching style,' she added. For those who do favour darker shades, even in the summer, King said chocolate brown is a fantastic solution. 'It works in your everyday wardrobe much like black or navy, but with a richer, more luxurious feel that can instantly elevate even the simplest pieces,' she said. 'Fabrics like linen, cotton, and bamboo are breathable and comfortable while offering some sun protection. Look for clothing with UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) ratings for added security,' King said. Roy also revealed that a cotton bra is a summer must-have. 'A secret insider tip to stay cool is wearing cotton underwear and a cotton bra. You want the fabric closest to your skin to be able to breathe,' she said. While cotton and linen are summer no-brainers, bamboo is a material that is often overlooked but both King and Roy say it's perfect for warm weather. Roxanne Linen Double-Strap Dress - Reiss £158 Shop Pure Cotton T-shirt - M&S £6.50 Shop WIDE LEG WONDERS Trousers with wide legs provided much-needed airflow on hot days and won't cause overheating like tight-fitting garments. They also provide modesty for those who are averse to short-shorts and prefer to keep their legs out the the sun's armful UV rays. Wide-leg bottoms strike the balance between casual and polished and can be paired with a loose-fitting cotton tee or button up shirt. 'A wide-brim hat and sunglasses are must-haves in your summer wardrobe - not just for style, but for essential sun protection,' Roy said. 'Wear a lightweight scarf to cover your shoulders or to protect your neck, and choose a bright colour especially if you're wearing white or creams to elevate your look.' She added that a brightly-coloured summer basket bag can be the cherry on the cake when styling a warn-weather look and is as practical as it is chic. 'It's roomy enough to carry your sunglasses, accessories, and sunscreen, while also giving off that effortlessly carefree vibe,' she said. King suggests a pair of tan brown sandals that are versatile enough to be worn with any number from a flowy dress to an oversized tee and trousers. Luxury body sunscreens to use this summer
If mere mention of the word sunscreen conjures memories of a childhood being waylaid in your pursuit of the pool on holiday in order to be slathered up in a thick white paint that stings your eyes, sticks in your hair, stains your swimsuit and leaves you feeling all kinds of greasy, you won't be alone. And you'd be forgiven for thinking suncreams still came in thick, heavy formulas. However, we're pleased to report that body sunscreens have been spruced up and are now sexier than ever. Don't believe us? Let the luxury line-up below speak for itself — white-streaky lotions have been traded for non-sticky oils that glide on the skin, enhance your natural tan and have a blurring effect on the body. In the place of greasy sprays there are fine mists full of skin-loving active ingredients such as ceramides and antioxidants that work to repair any previous sun damage while protecting you from harmful UVA and UVB rays. There are even handy, hydrating SPF sticks ideal for those hard to reach places, and top ups for on the go. Dr Florence Nadal, the scientific communication director at Lancaster Monaco confirms that texture is everything. 'We attach importance to texture and sensorial experience as we firmly believe that these two essential factors are key to encouraging consistent use and proper application,' she says. 'Sensoriality and texture are also crucial to provide an effective photoprotection and to prevent skin cancers,' she adds, by influencing user adherence. The smartest sunscreens not only offer broad cellular protection but also work to combat other lights including blue and infrared. And when it comes to the most luxurious sun care products, you'll get added value in terms of skincare benefits. 'These high-end formulations may include actives that address additional skin concerns such as pigmentation, dryness, redness or visible signs of ageing,' Nadal says. 'The result is a dual-action product that protects and treats the skin at the same time, with refined textures and sensorial appeal that elevate the overall experience.' Now there's really no excuse to forgo the SPF. • This article contains affiliate links that can earn us revenue A combination of broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB alongside Dr Barbara Sturm's key anti-ageing ingredients — including her staple hyaluronic acid and natural extracts that work to nourish and moisturise the skin barrier — is all housed in this sleek white bottle. If you dread sticky and thick formulations you'll be pleasantly surprised by the super lightweight texture of this quick-drying body cream which is instantly absorbed into the skin and works behind the scenes to soothe skin that is sensitive towards the sunlight. Pair yours with the brand's recently launched Sun Drops for the face which helps protect you from future photo-ageing, damage and inflammation in one simple serum, and you're fully set for a summer of sunbathing. £100 for 150ml, Dr Barbara Sturm Those with sun-sensitive skin or a fair complexion should invest in a serious body sunscreen to ensure they're protected from all environmental damage. Thankfully, Sisley's high protection body cream is just that — it provides both anti UVA and UVB protection as well as containing vitamin E acetate and Edelweiss extract to help protect the skin from oxidative stress, which is the principal cause of photo skin ageing. Naturally scented with essential oils of lavender and geranium, the moisturiser also contains shea oil to help restore suppleness and moisture that's lost from the skin's barrier when tanning. For those who don't want to tan but still want a healthy glow, Sisley's gradual tan is highly rated and offers a natural radiance rather than a wash of orange. £127.50 for 200ml, Sisley Paris Some sunscreens can feel too heavy, some create unsightly white streaks and other have a greasy, oily finish. However, Dior's silky protective cream promises to be none of the above. As well as providing a high SPF 50 protection against UVA and UVB rays, the body cream is infused with the brand's unique Tan Beautifier Complex with added vitamin E and antioxidants to nourish and aid any pigmentation while enhancing your natural tan. The satiny finish on the skin as well as the floral fragrance are incentive enough to wear it everyday — rain or shine. £48 for 150ml, Dior For some the idea of creams and lotions, no matter how well formulated, is enough to make their toes curl in their fancy flip flops. Let us introduce those people to Lancaster Sun's dry oil. This lightweight, water-like formula offers broad-spectrum SPF 30 protection, shielding skin from UVA, UVB, infrared and visible light. Plus, the brand's full light technology helps repair past sun damage and strengthen the skin's natural defenses against photo-ageing. Expect a shimmering veil and satiny finish. £32 for 150ml, Lancaster at Space NK Founded in 1978 by the French pharmacist and expert in cellular biology, Jean-Noël Thorel, Institut Esthederm was one of the first sun care products to activate melanin, the skin's natural protective pigment. Since then, the brand has created a range of luxury sun protection products, including this hydrating body sunscreen that comes in a handy spray bottle, which encourages an even-looking tan and has a barely-there feel on the skin. £57 for 200ml, Institut Esthederm at Look Fantastic Loyal lovers of Elizabeth Arden's bestselling Eight Hour Cream — the multipurpose balm that soothes, moisturises, protects and can be used on everything from brows to cuticles and hands — will be pleased to see there is now a suncream equivalent. This handy stick SPF will easily glide across both your face and body and take up next to no room in your beach bag. £19, Elizabeth Arden at Look Fantastic The French skincare brand Caudalie's body SPF is a clever hybrid between an oil and refreshing water which creates an invisible, hydrating veil on the skin. Inside the lightweight formula there's added antioxidants to help protect your skin against free radical damage, plus all the ingredients are ocean-friendly — many sunscreens with UV filters like oxybenzone and octinoxate can be linked to marine toxicity — so you can have guilt-free dips in the sea. £32 for 150ml, Caudalie at Space NK Keen swimmers need to invest in body sunscreens that are also water resistant. While we recommend topping up on all SPFs every two hours, Ultra Violette's hydrating hand and body sunscreen can last up to four hours even when you're taking dips in between. Founded in 2019 by Ava Matthews and Bec Jefferd (who previously worked at the major Australian cosmetics retailer Mecca), Ultra Violette's modus operandi is sunscreen infused with skin-loving ingredients. In this case, the lotion features a blend of pentavitin, skin-smoothing vitamin E and antioxidant-rich aloe vera. £55 for 500ml, Ultra Violette at Space NK While Emma Lewisham's mineral SPFs are mainly for the face, the brand's latest addition to the sunscreen line-up, the body creme, has been designed to protect the neck, decolletage and hands — areas that are regularly exposed to sun damage. The pump applicator means you get every last drop out of the creamy formula and can invest in the refillable pods to stay stocked up each summer. £62 for 100ml, Emma Lewisham It's a beauty insider secret that French pharmacy products are some of the best in the market and, Nuxe, founded by Aliza Jabès in the late 1980s, is a firm favourite. Loved for its vegan formulations and iconic multi-purpose dry oil, Nuxe's sun oil takes the nourishing staple formula and combines it with a high protection SPF and subtle shimmer that creates an illuminating finish on the skin and has a beautifully blurring effect on the body. £29 for 150ml, Nuxe One of the first of its kind, Shiseido's body sunscreen features a protective veil which is actually strengthened by heat thanks to the brand's clever Heatwave technology that contains heat-activated sensors. This triggers a process that optimises the sunscreen's protective film to make it more effective in blocking harmful UV rays. The science doesn't stop there: Shiseido sun care products also include a SynchroShield technology which allows the film to self-repair in case it is damaged. £50 for 300ml, Shiseido at Look Fantastic This all-in-one refreshing mist truly deserves a space in your beach bag this summer. Not only does the nourishing, easy to apply spray (simply shake and spritz across your face and body) help to combat the feelings of dryness that are inescapable when exposing your body to sun, but thanks to the addition of squalane, vitamin E and powerful ceramide in the formula, it can also be used on your hair. Simply add to the ends for nourishment and protection. £27.50 for 200ml, Vichy at Look Fantastic The Times Luxury is brought to you by the award-winning team behind the Times Luxx magazine. How Lifeguards Avoid Sunburns (and Treat Them When They Happen)
Wearing sunscreen is an extremely important part of sun safety, but if you plan to spend long stretches of time outside, reapplying it multiple times throughout the day is just as critical as putting it on in the first place. 'Many individuals apply sunscreen when they first arrive at the beach but forget to reapply after swimming or prolonged sun exposure, which leaves them vulnerable,' Bernard Fisher, the director of health and safety for the American Lifeguard Association, told me over email. 'Sun safety is an ongoing habit, not a one-time action.' On average, King spends anywhere from eight to 10 hours a day out in the sun. At the beginning of her shift, she slathers herself in the same sunscreen she's been using for the last ten years: Blue Lizard Sensitive Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion. King opts for the physical sunscreen by Blue Lizard for her skin, which can be easily irritated by the chemical sunscreens she's tried in the past. It goes on thick and can leave a bit of a white cast behind, but King said she doesn't mind because it reminds her that she's protected. During a typical shift, she'll reapply three to four times, depending on the length of a shift and the day's UV index. (Check the National Weather Service website to see your area's UV index.) To ensure her sunscreen doesn't turn into a soupy mess, she stores it in a pouch that she keeps tucked out of direct sunlight. 'Sometimes, I'll even throw it in my lunch box so that it stays cold,' she added. King swears by the tinted Vertra Sunscreen Face Stick SPF 38, which she says provides a skin-smoothing finish and uses it as her main source of face coverage. (We've previously reported that it's trickier to get full protection from stick sunscreens than lotions; the American Academy of Dermatology recommends four passes back and forth if you're using a stick.) 'Honestly, it kind of looks like I'm wearing makeup when I have it on,' King told me during a phone interview. 'If I have to go somewhere right after work and I still have sunscreen on my face, I don't even care because it makes my skin look amazing.' King says the brand is a staple in the California surf community. 'Pretty much everyone that I work with uses it,' she added, regardless of their gender. The Vertra face stick comes in a handful of shades; King likes to start the season with ehukai beige, eventually switching to the kona gold later on as her skin develops a bit of a tan. On her lips, she likes to use Vertra's Coconut Sunscreen Lip Balm SPF 15 unless 'it's a crazy high UV index day,' in which case she'll swipe her sunscreen stick directly over her lips for more protection. Dubinski's go-to body sunscreen is Supergoop Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50, a longtime Wirecutter pick. She likes that it doesn't feel tacky or greasy on her skin, and, most importantly, she loves the way it smells. She used to dread smelling like traditional sunscreen — now she doesn't mind Supergoop's scent at all. She wears sunscreen every day, even if she's not working. To remind herself to apply it whenever she leaves the house, she likes to keep an 18-ounce pump bottle of Supergoop Play by her keys. 'For sensitive areas — like around the hands, the tops of the knees, the backs of the ears — zinc oxide is really the way to go,' Dubinski said of her go-to Badger lotion, which is one of our sunscreen picks for physical and reef-safe protection. It still leaves behind a slight white cast, but Dubinski said that's the sacrifice she makes for highly effective zinc oxide sunscreen. 'It's not about vanity,' she said. Dubinski finds it helpful to carry a selection of sunscreens when she's working on film or television sets as an EMT. Tommi Dubinski More often than not, the type of sunscreen that works best for any given individual comes down to personal preference. When Dubinski is on a TV or film set as an EMT, she likes to keep an array of physical and chemical options in her emergency kit, including Sun Bum Original SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion, Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, and Banana Boat Sport Ultra Spray SPF 30. 'I always have a selection of different types of sunscreens on hand because I know first-hand how long it can take to find a sunscreen that you actually want to wear,' she said. 'And even though I don't find spray bottle sunscreen as effective, I know that some people prefer it, so I always have [a sprayable option] because something is always better than nothing.' Werneth also keeps spray sunscreen on hand to use in a pinch. 'I put the stuff in my hair — I fill my palm up and I scrub it into my scalp as if it were hair gel,' he said of his hack, which he employs mostly as a last resort when he knows he'll be in the water without a hat. 'My hair will come out all spiked up and I'll look like Billy Idol, you know, but I don't care.' (The Skin Cancer Foundation says hats and 'any type of sunscreen that works for your face' are your best bets for scalp protection.)

Snooki Spills On Her Sunscreen Partnership (Really), Adoption, & ‘The Jersey Shore' Cast
If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission. Out of all the jaw-dropping moments that have happened so far this year (and there have been plenty), one thing completely took me by surprise: Snooki, yes Jersey Shore's very own Snooki, aka Nicole Polizzi, is a sunscreen believer. And not only does she wear SPF, but she's been doing so for a while — and even teamed up with skincare brand Bliss to spread the word about sun protection. Yes, you read all of that right. More from Rolling Stone The Best Bookshelf Speakers of 2025, Tried & Tested The Nintendo Switch 2 Is Back in Stock: Here's How to Get Nintendo's New Gaming Console Online 'Ladyworld Festival' Tickets Are Almost Sold-Out: Here's Where to Find Passes Online MTV's former GTL (Gym, Tan, Laundry) aficionado, who used to bask in the sun with nothing but a bottle of tanning oil, is now all about safe sun habits. Snooki has been named Bliss's first-ever 'Summer Superhero.' The brand's new campaign is all about making sun safety cool, with a little help from their Bliss Sun Kits, which include SPF-tinted moisturizers, sunsticks, lip balms, and more; Snooki even handed these out down at the Jersey Shore earlier this month. In a recent chat with Rolling Stone, Snooki spilled on her partnership with Bliss, her Jersey Shore: Family Vacation series, and that infamous 2011 Rolling Stone cover that caused some noise in the music world. Scroll down for the full interview, and check out some of our favorite Bliss products along the way. What made you want to partner with Bliss?Number one, my daughter is obsessed with Bliss, so when I told her that I was gonna be working with them, she literally freaked out. But obviously, I've been known for tanning and not taking care of my skin in the sun, and I feel like I'm a different person now (especially as a mom). And I'm like, 'I just need to get on this SPF bandwagon.' And I love Bliss' campaign and everything the brand speaks for. I was just like, 'I'm going to get a tan and I'm going to feel nice.' But then, after becoming a mom and being so anal about putting SPF on my babies (and nothing on myself), I started doing research and found out what the sun can do to you over time. And I'm like, Oh My God. I need to get my shit together. Now I'm obsessed, and all of their [Bliss] products benefit your skin in such a good way. How do you teach good sun habits at home?Ever since they [Giovanna, Lorenzo, and Angelo] were kids, SPF was getting put on if we were going out in the sun. It's a normal routine for them. $36.00 $50.00 28% off Buy Now on bliss How do you choose which brands you collab with?I don't want to say yes to things that I don't truly believe in. Moving over to reality TV, Season 8 of just premiered, what was it like filming yet another series with the cast? It's so crazy because we filmed that a year and a half ago, and we're filming a new season right now. It all kind of jumbles together and then you forget what you did and what happened. I'm watching it right now, and I'm like, oh shit, I forgot that we did that — how fun. In the current season, I did talk about my adoption, which I never talked about before, and I never really cared to talk about it. So the fact that I did that is freaking unreal to me, because I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would do that. My parents are my parents, but going down that journey was crazy, especially with cameras. You'll see that I am very vulnerable on the show. get Philo So why now at this stage of your life?I ended up meeting Pamela [Slaton], who's a genealogist, and her job is to find birth families. I gave her all of the information that I had, and she found them in a week and a half, two weeks, max. She's insane. If you're an adopted kid and you're looking, or if you're thinking about reaching out, definitely call Pamela. I know that the initial meeting with you birth family took place over Zoom, would you ever be open to meeting face-to-face?I don't know. That's scary to me. Once you open that door, you don't close it, and that's something that scares me. You're going to see the journey on this season where I reach out a little bit more and like I said, we're filming another season already, and I am doing more steps. But, yeah, I'm going to say that I'm not taking a trip to Chile anytime soon. Besides these changes in your personal life, how do you think the cast has evolved since the first season back in 2009?We're basically all parents now, but I would definitely say Mike, (The Situation) has changed the most. He's a totally different person now. Obviously he still stirs the pot a little bit, but he's 10 years sober, and he's doing great. He's a great dad, a great husband, and he's just killing it in life. get hulu How do you think you've changed in the last almost two decades?I definitely became way more independent, and I'm like a boss bitch now. I do everything on my own, and if someone wants to help me, I'm like, 'get out of here.' I'm not the party girl anymore. I love being a mom. Don't get me wrong, I love having wine and having girls night here and there. But I mean, I just love being home and snuggling with my babies and being the best mom that I can be. What would you tell your kids if they wanted to pursue a career in reality television?Obviously I'm going to support them in anything that they want to do, but like….do something 2011 you were on the cover of . If you could offer any advice to your past self during that time, what would it be?Girl, live it up! Like you were on Rolling Stone. I made so many artists mad with that cover. I remember I was so upset after it came out. During this time, I was obsessed with Ne-Yo. Ne-Yo was my number one artist. And he ended up tweeting something like, 'What the hell is she doing on the cover?'He was so mad. So I ended up writing back, 'I'm sorry they offered it to me, of course I said yes. You're making me upset, you're going to lose me as a fan.' And he responded, 'Don't worry, I won't lose sleep over it.' So I was like, Oh My God, Ne-Yo hates me for it and so do a lot of other artists. But then I ended up hosting a New Year's Eve party on MTV where Ne-Yo was the guest, and he said, 'I'm sorry I said that.' And I was like, thank god, because I don't want to fight with you.
