The UK supermarket has launched its new affordable summer essentials in the Specialbuys collection. 7 Aldi's summer essential Middle aisle magpies will be excited to know of the latest treasure which will release on July 6. Aldi has launched its new Sand-Free Blanket in a bid to make sunbathing even more relaxing and at the same time affordable. Available for just £6.99 the beach towel is sure to be a summer must-have, especially considering it is a fraction of the price of some of similar products in other high street retailers. Holidaymakers have a choice between ocean blue and sunset orange to add a bit of colour to their packing list. John Lewis have their version of the summer essential which is priced at £25 and comes in a range of colours. And yet, while both other similar quick-drying functionality the Aldi version is a whopping £18 cheaper. How it works To ensure hassle-free sunbathing for holidaymakers, Aldi's beach towel repels sand from its surface. It does this through its micro hole technology which means coarse sand grains, which can irritate the skin and make sunbathing unbearable, can easily fall off the surface. 7 7 What's more the product is lightweight and compact and so it is easy to pack in a beach bag, and saves room for other holiday essentials in the ever-restrictive suitcases. And in case of bad weather (it is the UK after all) the towel comes with pegs and a holes to ensure it stays in the same place. 7 More summer essentials to come The middle aisle is always the place to find some absolute bargains, and Aldi have held nothing back this summer. The supermarket has offered a solution to end the passive aggressive war of the holiday deck chair with its new Backpack Chair or Lounger. For only £24.99, holidayers can either have a chair or sun lounger primed on their back in an easily transportable way. It is almost half the price of similar products available on Amazon and Decathlon. So there's no need to squabble with other tourists for a sun lounger, as Aldi shoppers can now bring their own. And when the sun inevitably moves, so can you. Aldi are also offering shoppers a 2-in-1 Beach Shade for an affordable £19.99. 7 What may cost more than £40 at some retailers, costs less than half of that in Aldi and means protecting yourself from the elements is easy. It comes equipped with eight pegs and two ropes for securing it in place and can fit two adults inside. Aldi has solved some casual summer gripes without needing to tight the purse strings.

EAGLE-EYED shoppers have spotted a brand-new Cadbury's chocolate bar on the shelves in a bargain UK supermarket. Cadbury teased the launch of the twist on a fan-favourite chocolate bar earlier this month, but has already said the treat won't be on shelves forever. 1 Sharing a video of the Twirl White Dipped, the British chocolatier said: "OK but we've really outdone ourselves with this one." The chocolate makers described the new bar, which is similar to a Twirl bar, but dipped in white chocolate as being "unreal, indulgent, smooth, swirly, creamy, melty, new, and mouthwatering". And now, the new bar has been spotted by hawk-eyed snack fans in Morrisons. Posting in the Newfoodsuk Facebook group, one confectionary lover said: "The new Twirl Bars are now available at Morrisons." Attached to the post was a picture of the limited edition bars on sale for £1 at the supermarket. The price tag indicated that the chocolate bar is part of Morrisons' £4 Meal Deal. Excited shoppers flooded the comments section of the post, to share their love for the sweet treat. One person said: "I've tried these and they are gorgeous." A second person said: "Tried it, was banging." A third person, tagging a friend said: "They're in Morrisons now! 'So excited' say Cadbury Ireland fans as new chocolate bar flavour to hit shelves TODAY "I know where I'm off to tomorrow." The chocolate bars have also been spotted in local convenience stores, with another Newfoodsuk post stating: "Wow, these are outstanding - closest bar you'll ever get to a Cadbury Snowflake! "We spotted these at our local convenience store!" Twirl bar were first released in Ireland in 1985, as a single finger bar. They hit UK shelves two years later in its classic double finger form. Eventually the Twirl bar solidified itself as a fan favourite among Cadbury customers. It has since earned its place in the coveted Cadbury's Heroes tin, available at Christmas.

LIDL has launched a new bakery item and shoppers are going wild. The German discounter's Strawberries & Cream Blondie is now available in stores for 89p per slice. 1 The treat comes with a classic vanilla and butter Blondie base and is topped with white frosting. Sainsbury's will be the latest supermarket to shed light on how its sales have fared in recent months as grocers battle to lure in squeezed shoppers amid rising food inflation. The UK's second largest supermarket chain will publish its first quarter trading update on Tuesday. It has not been immune to competition heating up among UK retailers in recent months, several of whom have come under pressure to cut prices to reel in consumers struggling with a higher cost of living. The shift has partly been sparked by Asda promising its biggest price cuts in 25 years while discounters Aldi and Lidl continue to take on larger rivals with low-cost products. Both Tesco and Sainsbury's have Aldi Price Match lines, offering hundreds of products price-matched to Aldi across stores. Sainsbury's recently said it had more products in the scheme than any other retailer with around 800 items from fresh and cupboard food to wine and toiletries. A group of analysts for AJ Bell pointed out that Sainsbury's shares were 'nudging toward their highest mark in a year, and they are not that far from their five-year Covid-inspired high either'. 'This suggests that fears of a supermarket price war, spearheaded perhaps by Asda, are yet to be realised,' they said. The analysts noted that recent data from the Office for National Statistics showed food and non-alcoholic drink prices rose by 4.4% in the year to May – the highest level in more than a year. Investors will be keen to see how the group's sales have fared in recent months, since reporting a 4.2% increase in full-year sales, excluding fuel, back in April. At the time, it predicted its profits to be flat in the year ahead as stronger sales volumes were expected to be offset by weaker profitability amid the investment in price cuts. This means that underlying profits should come in at about £1 billion for the year to the end of March 2026. Investors will also be watching out for any update to its annual forecast on Tuesday.
