Coming July 24th-27th: GalaxyCon Raleigh - "A Festival of Fandom"
Once again, the time has come that fans in the Raleigh, North Carolina area eagerly anticipate every year. Starting July 24th – 27th, GalaxyCon will once again invade the Raleigh Convention Center with an impressive list of celebrities, creators, cosplayers, tattoo artists, and pro wrestlers. Here is just a small sample of what visitors can expect this year. For those of us who have been around a while and remember shows from our childhood fondly, GalaxyCon Raleigh has that covered as well with Nostalgia Alley: Are you a fan of the 1990s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Raleigh has that covered with its 'Shell-a-Bration,' recognizing the film's 35th anniversary (March 30th). If it's wrestling that puts you in its figure-four leg lock, GalaxyCon Raleigh has that 'pinned' down as usual. But as they say on TV, that's not all! If you are not fortunate enough to get tickets to the main event, GalaxyCon has something for you. The GalaxyCon Raleigh Street Fest (Saturday & Sunday, July 26-27) is a free, two-day outdoor event in the heart of downtown Raleigh, open to fans of all ages! Our latest addition to GalaxyCon Raleigh, Street Fest offers a new way to experience the excitement of the weekend without needing a badge! With live music, pro wrestling, food trucks, vendors, celebrity appearances, fan cars, and more, Street Fest is the next evolution of our festival of fandom! So, if you are in the Raleigh, North Carolina area, and love to hang with like-minded fans, GalaxyCon Raleigh is the place for you. You will find me in line for Clark Gregg's Photo Op on Saturday. (I have been requesting Clark's appearance since I started attending) For more information, please visit their website.
