'The dreamiest boss of all time': Olivia Rodrigo paid for crew's therapy while on tour

It seems the therapists Olivia Rodrigo found for her band really helped. The 22-year-old "Vampire" singer and her tour manager Marty Hom provided free and accessible therapy for the entire "Guts" tour crew, rhythm guitarist Daisy Spencer revealed on "The StageLeft Podcast." "I have never had anything like that," Spencer, 31, told host Chris Simpson. "And that reignited the importance of therapy to me because I had kind of fallen off for so long." Rodrigo and Spencer just wrapped the 102-date "Guts" world tour July 1 and completed a successful headlining set at Glastonbury, where they were joined on stage by the Cure's Robert Smith. While on the podcast, Spencer described Rodrigo as "the dreamiest boss of all time" and opened up about taking care of her mind and body on the road. Read more: No 'Guts,' no glory: How Olivia Rodrigo became America's pop-punk queen "Suddenly I had this free resource of incredible therapists and I utilized the crap out of that," she said. "I was going, you know, once a week, once every other week, whenever I could. And it was even during the off time — we also still had access to this resource." Rodrigo's dad, Chris Rodrigo, is a family therapist, and the singer has been very open about starting therapy at 16. "That was a really big, life-changing moment," she told CBS Sunday Morning in 2021. "I've learned so much about myself." And she's not the only musician promoting therapy. Lewis Capaldi, who returned to the stage after a two-year break from performing to focus on his all-around health, announced Monday that he's partnering with BetterHelp to provide 734,000 hours of free online therapy. Ariana Grande has also partnered with the virtual therapy platform several times in the past. Though the "Guts" tour has concluded, Rodrigo still has several festival engagements lined up for the summer, including a headlining set Aug. 1 at Lollapalooza. Skunk Anansie's Skin reveals man pretending to be room service attempted to 'mug her' in hotel as she details terrifying ordeal

Skunk Anansie's Skin has revealed a man posing to be room service attempted to 'mug her' during her stay at a Pullman hotel, as she detailed the terrifying ordeal in an Instagram video on Wednesday. The British singer, 57, received a knock on her hotel door at 6am from an unidentified male earlier this week - after an 18-hour tour bus journey - claiming to be room service. Skin, who is currently touring with her band around Europe, insisted the man was attempting to mug her. While it is currently unknown what Pullman hotel Skin was staying in at the time, Skunk Anansie were in Germany over the weekend on tour. They head to Italy for another show on July 5. She said: 'Somebody tried to mug me in my room. They woke me up at 6am after an 18 hour tour bus journey. I was tired and they said it was room service. 'The Brixton thing in me said "Ding ding." There were no tray and I thought something was wrong. I cussed the guy and he said he would come back. The shaken star shared her fury while explaining the frightening situation and insisted the hotel should have 'done better', before sharing an update and response from the hotel 'It was just about 6am. They found the guy from my description. I did a Karen and said "I want to speak to the manager." The hotel said they had to let him go as our stories did not match up. 'They said he was looking for his girlfriend but it was dodgy. In the end the manager tells me there is no case. You know sometimes in your life when you have steam blowing. I had to take myself away from this man and the situation. 'We made the hotel look at the cameras to get a picture of this man. He was leaning up against my door. He could have pushed the door in with a knife or he could have had Chloroform. 'Who knows what would have happened. But I am a fighter and that is going to get me in trouble. 'Now I will have to get one of those little lock things to put in the door. If you are in a band you will need to get one. It can happen to you. 'I would say "Pullman Hotels, do better. Have security. Dont wait for something awful to happen. Put better security and cameras into your hotels and key cards so you can use the lift. 'I am still vexed even telling the story. Never open your door at weird times useless you know who is there.' The shaken star shared her fury while explaining the frightening situation and insisted the hotel should have 'done better', before sharing an update and response from the hotel. In the caption she wrote: 'Update: So we have heard back from the hotel, they are reviewing their security systems and will be adding extra security including lift card entry systems when they do their renovations. 'That's very good news. I'm not trying to get anyone fired, my life mantra is that prevention is better than a cure. Hotels can do a lot to make their clients safe. 'The reaction should not be to automatically pit my word against someone clearly being dodgy because you didn't catch him camera doing it. 'But thanks to @pullmanhotels for listening and doing something about it, that is much appreciated.' MailOnline has contacted Skin and Pullman Hotels for comment. Skunk Anansie is made up of Skin, Cass, Ace, and Mark Richardson.

Adam Hadwin texts wife to 'book us flights' mid-round at PGA Championship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It wasn't exactly the text message that Jessica Hadwin was expecting to receive from her husband as she headed out the door with 5-year-old daughter Maddox to watch some PGA Championship golf at Quail Hollow on Friday morning. Article content 'Book us flights,' the message from Adam Hadwin read. Article content It was that kind of day on the golf course for the Canadian PGA Tour pro and, seemingly, just another day in the always adventurous chronicles of life on tour for The Hadwins. Article content Article content 'Just getting our daughter and myself all ready and headed out the door to the course. My husband texting: 'Book us flights,'' Jessica's 9:45 a.m. post read on X, followed by the perfect popular golf meme of a surprised Jon Rahm. Article content Article content Over the past few years, Jessica has become a social media darling in golf circles as she documents the chaotic and usually humorous side of life with Adam, Maddox and the family's (now three) dogs.
