E.C. Row Expressway lane closures planned for grass cutting
Heads up drivers, there are some more lane closures planned for E.C. Row Expressway. City of Windsor parks staff will be cutting grass along the E.C. Row beginning this week. Work is scheduled to start Saturday, July 12, and continue for approximately two weeks. Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting. Rolling lane closures will be in effect in these areas during cutting, but city officials say staff will try to minimize traffic disruptions during rush hour. Cutting will take place on the centre median between Huron Church Road and Banwell Road. At the completion of the centre medians, cutting will begin on the roadside shoulders and all on- and off-ramps. Motorists are asked to use extra caution and slow down when seeing workers and traffic protection equipment on or near the roadways.

Traffic disruptions in KL from July 5 as roads near KLCC to face closures for Asean Foreign Ministers' Meeting
KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 — Traffic flow in several locations in Kuala Lumpur are expected to face disruptions during the 58th Asean Foreign Ministers' Meeting (58th AMM) scheduled to take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from July 8 to 11. The Asean Main Logistics Secretariat, Foreign Ministry said that traffic disruptions are expected to begin as early as this Friday within a one-kilometre (km) radius from the KLCC area and along major roads and highways connecting main entry points to the city. 'Additional information on affected routes and the closure of certain roads will be announced by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) soon. 'The Foreign Ministry apologises for all the inconvenience that might be caused and deeply appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the public,' the secretariat said in a statement today. As host to an important regional event, the secretariat said that the Foreign Ministry is committed to ensure the smooth and successful organising of the event without neglecting the public's welfare. Malaysia took over the Asean chair on Jan 1 this year from Laos and it is the fifth time that the country is serving as Asean Chair, with its previous terms being 1977, 1997, 2005 and 2015. — Bernama

Ottawa traffic to feel impact of royal visit on Monday and Tuesday
The City of Ottawa says 'significant' traffic and transit disruptions are expected during the May 26-27 visit to the national capital by King Charles and Queen Camilla. In an advisory posted online Thursday, the city said it was working closely with the RCMP, Ottawa Police Service and other security partners 'to ensure that the safety of the King, Queen and our residents is maintained during the visit.' The notice said traffic would be disrupted on several roads, with some closures lasting multiple hours. All roads out of the Florida Keys are closed due to brush fire
A growing brush fire has forced the closure of Card Sound Road and the northbound lanes 18-mile stretch, according to Monroe County and Miami-Dade authorities. Overnight, the southbound lanes of U.S. 1 reopened after being closed late Thursday. Officials are warning of ongoing traffic disruptions as firefighting efforts continue. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said on Thursday that the closures are due to fire activity and hazardous conditions. "Expect continued disruptions in and out of the Florida Keys as the weather/fire mitigation efforts continue to impact traffic," the sheriff's office said in a statement. Firefighting efforts continue Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is assisting the Florida Forest Service in containing the grass fire. The forest service said as of Friday morning the fire had burned 350 acres and wase 25% contained. Officials are asking the public to stay away from the affected area while emergency crews work to bring the fire under control.
