Collision involving train, vehicle disrupts South Shore Line service in Gary, Indiana
A collision between a train and a vehicle disrupted the South Shore Line in Gary, Indiana late Wednesday night. The South Shore Line said at 11:10 p.m., eastbound train 133 was stopped just west of Miller Station after the crash. The South Shore Line did not specify what kind of train was involved in the crash. But the line said train traffic would be halted in the area while crews assess the situation. Train crashes into semi truck in Moorpark, killing driver
A train collided with a tractor-trailer in Moorpark on Wednesday afternoon, killing the driver and injuring at least one other person. The crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. on a private crossing that runs parallel to Los Angeles Avenue, according to a Metrolink spokesperson. California Highway Patrol officers say that the driver of the semi truck was killed in the collision. They also advised drivers to be wary of emergency vehicles heading to the area via SR-118, which is just south of where the incident occurred. Metrolink says that one of the 25 passengers on the board suffered a minor injury. It's unclear if they required hospitalization. It's unclear why the truck was on the train tracks.

Collision between train and commercial vehicle in northern Ontario

August 2024 (Google) A collision between a train and a commercial vehicle at a rail crossing on Highway 560 south of Gogama in northern Ontario closed the road Wednesday morning. 'There are no injuries or derailment,' Ontario Provincial Police said in a social media post at 8:40a .m. 'A train stop order is in place.' The highway -- which is halfway between Sudbury and Timmins -- is closed between Highway 144 and Highway 560A. Driver critically injured after vehicle and train collide in Fort Worth, police say
A driver was critically injured Saturday evening after their vehicle and a train collided in Fort Worth, according to police. The collision occurred around 5:22 p.m. near West Biddison Street and Ryan Avenue. Emergency crews responded and found a single vehicle involved in the crash, authorities said. (Image: iStockphoto) The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
