I'm Refreshing My Summer Travel Wardrobe With These 10 Packable, Vacation-ready Nordstrom Styles—From $23
Today marks the first official day of summer, which means my travel schedule is about to go into overdrive with trips to the Hamptons, Cape Cod, New Hampshire, and more on the calendar in the coming weeks. With so many beachy vacations on the lineup, I've been scouring my wardrobe for outfits to pack for my weekends away, and after a recent closet cleanout, I'm in need of a few fresh pieces to take my seasonal packing list up a notch. Never failing to deliver the high-quality wardrobe essentials of my dreams, Nordstrom's summer sale section is currently overflowing with items I'm clamoring to add to my suitcase. However, since I'm working to exercise some self control with my shopping this season, I've narrowed down my list to the 10 pieces I'm eyeing for every one of my trips this summer. From maxi dresses to breezy linen pants, these versatile staples will prepare me for every occasion—and most importantly, everything is under $100. Even on the hottest summer days, you'll rarely catch me wearing shorts, which is why I've been working on expanding my collection of loose-fitting, flowy pants to travel in. This pair from Zella has a stretchy, elastic waistband so I won't worry about it digging into my skin, and its wide-leg design won't stifle me in tight fabric or restrict movement. Plus, pleats down the front create a more dressed-up finish than other trousers in my collection, so I'll be able to style them for a fancy dinner or a day of sightseeing by simply switching my shoes and top. Best of all? They're currently on sale for 50 percent off. I've had one too many vacations on which I packed the wrong footwear and was left with blisters as my only souvenirs from the trip—but not anymore. These strappy sandals are from Vionic, a podiatrist-approved brand, which instantly elevates their status in my travel wardrobe. They're open-toed and have a platform design that keeps my feet further from the ground. The footbeds are well-cushioned with essential arch support so I can comfortably spend long days on my feet. Uppers made from supple leather will only grow softer with time, plus the adjustable buckle closure means I'll be able to alter the fit when my feet inevitably swell in the summer heat. I practically live in tank tops during the summer, but after a recent closet cleanout, I was faced with the startling realization that so many of my favorite tanks were in dire need of replacement. Since I've been a big fan of boatnecks lately, I was instantly drawn to this Free People ribbed tank top that hits at the hips and comes in my favorite deep blue shade. It's made from a super-soft cotton blend that will get increasingly more comfortable with every wear, and the simple cut gives it endless styling potential. It's on sale for 40 percent off in select shades, while plain colors like black and white are available for $38. I've come to value maxi skirts as my go-to bottoms during the summer since they allow me a full range of movement, are undeniably stylish, and (in my opinion) are far more comfortable than mini skirts. The Topshop Techy Maxi Skirt has a forgiving elastic waistband that won't dig into my skin if I wear it during a flight, and it falls right at the ankles so I don't have to think about excess fabric grazing the ground while I walk. I can already see myself styling it with sandals and a mini tank during the summer, but it'll also remain a mainstay in my wardrobe well into the fall. Even when I'm traveling, I still always make time for a quick run or long walk to stay active and maintain some semblance of a routine (can you tell I'm a type-A traveler?). So, since I try to keep my selection of workout gear fresh, I've been eyeing this sleek pair of Sweaty Betty leggings with an adjustable elastic waistband that's flattering and comfy. The thick waistband won't roll over while I'm sitting, and the stretchy polyester blend will flatter my curves without stifling me in the heat. The slate blue shade is on sale for 43 percent off right now, and they're so stylish that I could see them becoming my go-to for travel days. If you take a quick scan through my latest style Pinterest board, you'll find it's filled with images of nearly identical sweater vest-style tops with buttons down the front and a distinct '90s-era charm. Of course, after I spotted the Madewell Knit V-neck Sweater Vest, I knew it was exactly what I needed to fulfill my summer style vision—and it's currently on sale for just $39 in the perfect ivory shade. The knit top displays gorgeous detailing, including ruffles around the pointed collars and delicate embroidery down the front, and it's made from a largely cotton blend that will remain in great condition well past this season. Whether I pair it with a maxi skirt or flowy trousers, I'm sure this will be the most reached-for item in my suitcase on my next trip. If I could wear only one style of clothing for the rest of my life, there's no doubt in my mind I would opt for maxi dresses. With that in mind, this flirty and feminine option is a must-have in the most stunning dusty purple shade, and I'm already imagining myself strolling around the Hamptons wearing it on a bachelorette weekend at the end of the summer. The flowy, tiered skirt is simple but far from plain, and I'm especially enamored by the puff sleeves and ruched bodice detailing. Worn with an oversized tote bag and a pair of kitten heels, this 100 percent cotton dress will be a head-turner on my summer travel agenda—and it's under $100. I love traveling in linen. It's lightweight, breathable, and offers the perfect drape that's easy to dress up or down. Luckily, this pair of wide-leg pants delivers all of that in spades. The adjustable elastic waistband makes these trousers glorified lounge pants, so I'm positive they'll be a comfy (and stylish) choice on long flights, and they'll also match everything in my suitcase. They're great for the heat, have deep pockets for storing essentials while sightseeing, and even come in three dreamy neutral shades, although it's the black pair I'm buying while they're on sale for $56. With Cape Cod and the Hamptons on my travel agenda this summer, I'm obviously going to need to snag a new bathing suit to prepare for my beachside adventures. Lands' End is known for its high-quality garments, so naturally I'm adding this scoop-neck one-piece to my cart. It'll provide just the right amount of coverage while still looking timeless and chic. Adjustable straps will make it easy to achieve a snug and comfortable fit that won't leave me exposed if I'm struck by a rogue wave, and the fabric even provides UPF 50 sun protection which is a must for my sensitive skin. Plus, if I throw a pair of linen pants over top, this one-piece bathing suit can double as a fitted bodysuit, effectively multiplying its styling potential. After recently retiring my favorite pair of ballet flats, I almost instantly added this wine-colored pair of Jeffrey Campbell flats to my cart. I've found ballet flats to be an ideal choice for summer travel since they're lightweight, versatile, and super comfortable—and while I won't be reaching for them during the more active days on my feet, they're perfect for dinner and drinks. I adore the minimalist design of this Mary Jane style, and best of all? They're an impressive (and far more affordable) alternative to this luxe pair from The Row. Love a great deal? 3 Vogue Editors Reveal Their Go-To T-Shirts—And How to Style Them
Finding the best wardrobe essentials can be a lengthy process. Whether it's a pair of straight-leg jeans that hug each curve just right, a comfortable and versatile button-up shirt, or a little white dress suitable for both the office and after-hours events, the search often takes time. Among these staples, the quest for the perfect T-shirt is one that every fashion enthusiast undertakes. It needs to meet all the criteria, starting with the right shape, neckline, and fabric. Arguably one of the best places to find said must-haves is UNIQLO—the Japanese retailer is an editor go-to for well-made basics at thoughtful price points. A sartorial white whale for many, a go-to T-shirt is an essential part of almost any wardrobe, regardless of changing trends, personal style shifts, and color preferences. For many Vogue staffers a classic plain style, be it in white, grey, or black, serves as a universal layering piece under sweaters, blazers, and trench coats. It can also make a proclamation, featuring bold stripes, a favorite sports team, or a tribute to a hometown hero. The best T-shirts, whether a relaxed crewneck or subtly cropped, can be paired with almost anything, from low-rise jeans to silky skirts. Below, 3 Vogue editors share what they look for in a T-shirt and how they came to find the perfect fit for them at UNIQLO. Mai Morsch, fashion editor 'My colleagues joke that I am the queen of basics—and it's true, I am almost always in jeans and a tee. While my outfit formulas are simple, I put a lot of thought into fit and fabric, and I can confidently say that UNIQLO'S pieces are timeless, well-made, and genuinely chic. My style philosophy is always that once you have a solid base wardrobe, it's easy to build out your personal style with one-of-a-kind, vintage, or trend-forward pieces. I love how this T-shirt from the UNIQLO U Collection echoes the effortless vibe of a classic baby tee. It hits just at the waist, making it super versatile—pair it with a low-rise pair of jeans for a laid-back weekend look, or tuck it into high-rise trousers for something more polished. The fabric is soft but structured, holding its shape without wrinkling, and the cap sleeve adds a flattering touch. With many colors to choose from, it's a fantastic staple to stock up on. I leaned into the '90s feel of this UNIQLO U tee by layering a ribbed tank underneath, which adds just the right amount of texture and dimension. I also chose to wear it with dark-wash jeans from the UNIQLO x JW Anderson collab, which have quickly become a go-to thanks to their classic straight-leg cut and slightly rigid feel. The whole look feels simple but considered. I styled it with a heeled sandal, but honestly, it's the kind of outfit I could wear with any shoe, in any season.' Uniqlo UNIQLO U crew neck t-shirt $15 UNIQLO Uniqlo x JW Anderson straight jeans $50 UNIQLO Leah Faye Cooper, digital style director 'I prefer tees to button-downs and knits, so I own a lot of them. I'm partial to cropped tees, and love that this one falls into that category, but doesn't expose the midriff when worn with a high-waisted skirt or pair of trousers. (If I'm open to showing a bit more skin, I'd wear it with a skirt that fits lower on the hips.) The cotton is perfect—stretchy with a nice heft to it, and incredibly soft and comfortable. These have enough structure to work for the office, but are perfect for a laid-back weekend look, too. I styled my white tee with a silk midi skirt and denim jacket, draped over my shoulders—a look I turn to often when I want to dress casual but feel put together.' Irene Kim, production and editorial associate 'Finding the perfect simple tee is harder than you think. But UNIQLO makes it so easy for you, especially with their U collection designed by Christophe Lemaire and Sarah Linh Tran. First of all, you can get it for less than $20—a rarity I find these days—and it's made of a thick and heavyweight cotton so that your bra doesn't show through, which I find to be my biggest struggle when wearing T-shirts.

The Quince Travel Essentials I'm Packing This Summer
I used to be a 'buy a new wardrobe every time I travel' kind of a gal. But a few years ago, I discovered the beauty of a capsule wardrobe—and my wallet and closet have thanked me ever since. I've stopped buying fast-fashion items as much as possible and began investing in pieces that will stick around with me for longer than a single season. One of the first things I noticed after making the switch from trendy clothes to timeless staples is that I rarely feel like I have nothing to wear, especially when I'm traveling. Whether I'm driving up north to Boston to catch a glimpse of its fleeting fall foliage or headed out East for a few days of summer sun in Montauk, I pack many of the same hero pieces time after time. As I continue to grow my capsule wardrobe, I'm always on the lookout for brands for who do basics really well. And lately, that's Quince. For those unfamiliar with the brand, its goal is to deliver high-quality, long-lasting products without the hefty price tags. The lower-than-usual price point is what first attracted to me to Quince; the brand is able to keep its prices lower than competitors thanks to its factory-direct model that cuts out the middlemen. The quality of the pieces have kept me coming back. From everyday tees and super-soft cardigans to lightweight linen and versatile dresses, Quince is full of great-for-travel pieces to wear this summer and the one after that. I've added some of Quince's bestsellers to my wardrobe and they've quickly become some of my hardest-working clothing items. The simple designs allow pieces to blend well in a variety of outfits and trip itineraries, while looking and feeling a touch more elevated than my other everyday basics. Below, I've rounded up some of the best Quince travel clothes to get you started—some I own, others are ones I have my eye on. All are the kind of goes-with-everything pieces you'll be reaching for on every trip this summer. Whether you're packing for a hot and humid vacation along the Amalfi coast or a wine-filled getaway in Napa Valley, Quince has you covered with the airy dresses, washable maxi skirts, and dreamy cardigans you'll keep reaching for. Keep scrolling for all of the recommendations or jump right to the section you're shopping for. Everyday tops Everyday tops are the foundation of every packing list. Essentials like Quince's perfect white tee and its crisp linen button-down can be worn with anything, from jeans and shorts to skirts. This airy button-down can even double as a pool cover-up in a pinch. Beyond the basics, linen vests and tube tops elevate any outfit without overdoing it. You can easily dress these tops up, or keep it simple with some linen pants and comfortable sandals. Breathable bottoms I try to stay away from chafe-prone denim shorts or mini skirts in the summertime. Instead I'm all about breathable bottoms: breezy maxi skirts, silky midis, and linen pants. Here are a few of my current favorites, including a white poplin maxi skirt that's begging to be worn on a trip to Greece. Quince's chic silk skirt really won me over—not only because it's washable, but because it can be tightly rolled and tucked away in a small crevice of my suitcase without taking up any space at all. It's lightweight enough for daytime strolls, but can be tossed on for dinner, too. And if you're after some of moisture-wicking linen pants, look no further than Quince's $40 pairs. Coastal sweaters Don't forget your coastal grandmother cardigan! Not only is a super-soft striped crewneck or cardigan quietly elegant, it's also practical. Even if you're headed somewhere warm, you'll want something lightweight that you can throw over your shoulder for evening walks along the water or inside a chilly restaurant. This is one of the categories Quince does best. I couldn't believe how soft its Mongolian Cashmere sweater was when I first got my hands on it. I lived in it last fall; it will be one of those better-with-age pieces I return to year after year. These cardigans are simple enough to wear all over this summer, from Santa Barbara to Southhampton. Vacation dresses In a dream world, my suitcase would be filled with statement vacation dresses. In my fast-fashion days, this is where I really had my fun. But that bold wear-it-once dress isn't doing you any favors—it's too memorable! Chic, sophisticated dresses stand out without trying too hard, and are easy to rewear again again. From morning strolls to hotel dinners, the best vacation dresses from Quince keep you looking polished and feeling comfortable even on long travel days. Dress them up with a kitten heel and a sleek clutch, or toss on a pair of flat sandals for a day of sightseeing in Florence. If you want something more unique, say for destination wedding or an engagement party, consider renting a fun dress from Nuuly or Rent the Runway instead of committing long-term. The 'it' bag Just when I think I've successfully stuffed all the clothes and shoes I need in my carry-on, I remember I need to pack a handbag. It's one of those sneakily bulky items I forget requires ample suitcase space. My trick is to pack only one (yes, one!) handbag that can take me from a casual poolside brunch to an elegant dinner with ease. Your best bet is a black leather shoulder bag that's polished enough for evening hours while still being relaxed enough for daytime. For something a little softer, this Cognac-colored bag can be worn as a crossbod by day and a cutesy shoulder bag by night. Both bags are nice and roomy, easily fitting all of your daily essentials (phone, wallet, portable fan, etc).
