Gold Bar Whiskey Unveils Two Limited-Edition Crypto-Inspired Releases: The Bitcoin Reserve & The Satoshi Reserve

SAN FRANCISCO, June 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Gold Bar Whiskey, the award-winning premium whiskey brand from San Francisco, California, is proud to announce the launch of two new, limited-edition products celebrating the future of cryptocurrency and craftsmanship: The Gold Bar Whiskey Bitcoin Reserve and The Gold Bar Whiskey Satoshi Reserve. These bold new expressions blend Gold Bar's tradition of high-quality whiskey-making with the pioneering spirit of cryptocurrency - designed for collectors, crypto enthusiasts, and whiskey connoisseurs alike. Bitcoin Reserve A bold statement of both modernity and tradition, Gold Bar Whiskey's Bitcoin Reserve is crafted for those who understand the value of scarcity and opportunity - holders of digital gold. This exclusive release is limited to 21,000 bottles, mirroring the 21 million cap on Bitcoin. The whiskey is a masterful blend of rare American straight bourbon barrels aged between 5 to 14 years, finished in red wine casks from Sonoma and Napa Valley in California. Bottled at 93 proof (46.5% ABV), the Bitcoin Reserve delivers a profile that is both contemplative and crowd-pleasing, ideal for both collectors and those new to whiskey culture. Satoshi Reserve The Satoshi Reserve is an ultra-limited expression celebrating 15 years since the first real-world use of cryptocurrency - a nod to the visionary spirit behind decentralized innovation. Only 999 individually numbered bottles will ever be released. This rare whiskey is a single barrel rye, aged 14 years, with a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, distilled at the renowned MGP Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Each barrel travels to California and is finished in French oak wine casks that previously aged premium red wines from Sonoma and Napa Valley, resulting in a deeply complex and layered flavor profile. The Satoshi Reserve is bottled at cask strength, with proofs ranging from 115 to 123 (57.5% - 61.5% ABV) depending on the barrel, making each bottle a unique expression of excellence. Each bottle includes two collector-grade coins: one embedded in the bottle's design, and a second housed in a velvet display case, a tactile tribute to Bitcoin's legacy. Bottle owners automatically join the Satoshi VIP Digital Gold Club, receiving exclusive access to future releases, private events at the Gold Bar Distillery in San Francisco, and early access to select concert ticket drops and other curated experiences. "These new releases honor the visionary nature of cryptocurrency while staying true to our core of innovation, craftsmanship, and storytelling," said Elliott Gillespie, President of The Gold Bar Spirits Company. "We're blending tradition with modernity to create a truly unique offering." Both products are available in limited quantities exclusively at and various retail partners, with shipping available across the United States. Semi carrying whiskey tips over on I-90

A semi-truck carrying whiskey tipped over on Interstate 90 Friday morning. Washington State Patrol says speed was a factor. It happened in the eastbound lanes near milepost 45. No one was hurt. One lane is currently open to get around the crash, but drivers should expect delays for the time being. State patrol posted a picture showing the crates of whiskey strapped in, saying, 'Hoping it survives when the trailer is rolled back over.' No word when all lanes will be back open.

Brooklyn Beckham On Why He Likes His Cocktail Spicy

Brooklyn Beckham at a launch event for Jefferson's Rye. Brooklyn Beckham is coming for the condiment aisle. The model-slash-photographer-slash-cooking influencer debuted two hot sauces under the brand Cloud23 in late 2024 that took three years to develop — and he uses them on almost everything. The hot sauce comes in two flavors, Hot Habanero and Sweet Jalapeño. The bottles don't have stoppers in them to use the sauce in small dashes. Beckham wanted people to free pour his sauces on all types of food — he likes it on sandwiches, spaghetti Bolognese, pickles, the rim of a beer glass instead of tajin — even ice cream. 'I didn't want it to be crazy spicy. I wanted a hot sauce that you could have with your whole meal, instead of having one bite and you're just sick of it. I wanted a hot sauce, but I kind of wanted to use it like a barbecue sauce,' Beckham told Forbes last week. He partnered with Jefferson's to launch their new rye. Jefferson's range has been built on mainly bourbon. Founder Trey Zoeller said since the company was founded in 1997 they've released 40 expressions, and the only previous ryes were one Oceans release aged at sea, and one finished in Cognac casks. This one ($35), which will be part of the core lineup for Jerrerson's, is a 88-prrof blend of straight rye whiskeys aged in charred new oak barrels. Rye is typically spicier than bourbon, but like Cloud23, this rye isn't all heat. Brooklyn Beckham and Trey Zoeller 'As a blender, I've always approached whiskey the way a winemaker approaches wine, layering for complexity and depth,' says Founder Trey Zoeller. 'Rye has always been a favorite of mine for its punch and personality, and this release allows us to really pound our chests as blenders. We wanted to create something truly versatile – enjoyable neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail. It has that bold kick up front, but it finishes warm and smooth – not dry like many ryes you find in market.' Zoeller and Beckham worked with a Pernod Ricard mixologist Haley Traub to come up with the Brooklyn 23, which is a spicy riff on a Manhattan. You can make it at the recipe below, or for a limited time, order a 'Manhattan to Brooklyn' kit from Cocktail Courier which has all the ingredients. Brooklyn23 Ingredients 2 parts Jefferson's Straight Rye Whiskey ½ part Sweet Vermouth ½ part Black Cherry Syrup Pea-sized drop of Cloud23 Hot Habanero Hot Sauce 2 dashes Angostura Bitters Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a Cloud23-infused black cherry*. *Cloud23-Infused Black Cherries Transfer half of a can of cherries and their liquid to a new container with a lid. Add 2-3 pea-sized drops of Cloud23 Hot Habanero Hot Sauce and stir or shake to combine. And what is next for Beckham and Cloud23? The brand, which he says he named because he was 23 and it was the 23rd day of the month when he asked wife Nicola Peltz to marry him and he's 'been on Cloud 9 since,' will expand. 'Cloud23 isn't just a hot sauce. It's going to be a luxury line of condiments. So I've started on the next few which I'll be releasing soon,' Beckham said. 'I can't say much, but the next one will be in the spicy realm.'

The Best Hot-Weather Alternatives for Whiskey Lovers

Howdy, Top Shelfers. It's your resident whiskey expert Brad Japhe here, coming in hot during this extended American heat wave with a bunch of scorching seasonal intel—and some of it (gasp!) doesn't even involve whiskey. But as I promised—or lamented—above, let's step away from the world of whiskey for just a moment here today. As temperatures inch north of 90F in many parts of the US, I am fully aware that some folks like to take a holiday from the grain and wood. Maybe you're one of them, unwilling to embrace whiskey as a viable hot-weather option. I could try to persuade you to reconsider (and I probably will in the next part of this newsletter), but for right now, I'm going to meet you where you are.

Brown-Forman Corporation (BF-B): A Bull Case Theory

We came across a bullish thesis on Brown-Forman Corporation (BF-B) on Moram Capital's Substack. In this article, we will summarize the bulls' thesis on BF-B. Brown-Forman Corporation (BF-B)'s share was trading at $27.77 as of 10th June. BF-B's trailing and forward P/E were 15.03 and 14.51 respectively according to Yahoo Finance A close-up of bottles of whisky and other alcoholic beverages from a winery. Brown-Forman, the dominant force in American whiskey and a top-five global player in premium spirits, finds itself at a unique inflection point. Despite doubling its operating profit since 2013, the stock now trades at decade-old levels, presenting a compelling value disconnect. Nearly 90% of its revenue stems from American whiskey and tequila, two of the fastest-growing spirits categories over the last decade, highlighting the strength of its portfolio. At the heart of Brown-Forman lies the iconic Jack Daniel's brand, a global household name with unmatched brand equity. But the company's depth goes beyond Jack, with heritage-rich labels like Old Forester and Casa Herradura, both founded in 1870, anchoring its position in bourbon and tequila. Brown-Forman also owns leading brands in four premium categories: Woodford Reserve (super-premium whiskey), Herradura (super-premium tequila), Gin Mare (ultra-premium gin), and Diplomatico (ultra-premium rum), giving it broad exposure to high-growth niches. Recent macro headwinds have hit the stock hard—Brown-Forman is down 60% from its highs amid inflationary pressure, rising rates, and shifting consumer sentiment. Interest has drifted toward wellness trends, including GLP-1s, cannabis, and Gen Z preferences, while the new U.S. administration's 'Make America Healthy Again' campaign poses policy risks for alcohol. Yet, potential tailwinds could reenergize the narrative. A reversal of U.S. tariffs on bourbon could boost domestic competitiveness, and collapsing agave prices in 2025 offer a margin expansion opportunity in tequila. Though short-term demand data is soft, Brown-Forman's timeless brands and deep global heritage suggest long-term strength beneath the surface volatility. Previously, we covered a on Brown-Forman (BF-B) by Olver| MMMT that emphasized its dividend consistency, defensive margins, and relative tariff resilience. Moran Capital's thesis strengthens the case by framing Brown-Forman as a structurally undervalued global spirits powerhouse with deep category exposure and brand equity across whiskey, tequila, gin, and rum, arguing that macro-driven weakness has obscured a premium brand portfolio poised to benefit from cyclical recovery and commodity tailwinds. Brown-Forman Corporation (BF-B) is not on our list of the 30 Most Popular Stocks Among Hedge Funds. As per our database, 37 hedge fund portfolios held BF-B at the end of the first quarter, which was 38 in the previous quarter. While we acknowledge the risk and potential of BF-B as an investment, our conviction lies in the belief that some AI stocks hold greater promise for delivering higher returns and have limited downside risk.
