Worker dies at Clarke Creek Wind Farm in central Queensland
A worker has died at the Clarke Creek Wind Farm in central Queensland. Squadron Energy said work on the site had been suspended. "Safety is our top priority across all our sites and the wellbeing of everyone on the Clarke Creek Wind Farm site is our immediate focus," it said. "The family has been notified and is being supported. "We would like to acknowledge and thank the colleagues and first responders who responded to this tragedy."

Newcastle Airport worker dies in container handling incident
A worker is dead after an incident in the Newcastle Airport precinct. Emergency services were called to the Williamtown site this morning. Newcastle Airport has issued a statement saying: "We understand a worker was injured while undertaking container handling activities". SafeWork NSW said it had been notified and was responding to an incident at the airport involving a worker fatality. A spokesperson said SafeWork NSW inspectors were on site and making inquiries. NSW police are also at the scene. Newcastle Airport operations are continuing, with no disruptions to passengers or flights.
