Bhojpuri Star Anjana Singh Abuses, Drags Crew Member Over Hotel Blunder
Last Updated: Bhojpuri star Anjana Singh's film shoot in Basti turned chaotic when no hotel room was booked for her. A viral video shows her angrily confronting a crew member. What was supposed to be just another film shoot night in Basti turned into a full-blown street drama with Bhojpuri star Anjana Singh. A video of the actress losing her cool outside a hotel has gone viral, and let's just say… it's not her next movie that people are talking about. The late-night chaos unfolded outside Hotel Maharaj on Malviya Road when Anjana discovered that no room had been booked for her. Anjana, who was in town to shoot for an upcoming project helmed by filmmaker Rajnish Mishra, was not having it. The production team was supposed to handle her stay, but clearly, wires got crossed… or never connected in the first place. In a now-viral video, the visibly angry actress can be seen confronting crew members, specifically a man named Anurag, and things escalated quickly from a verbal showdown to a street-side storm. The video shows her yelling, hurling some very colourful words, and even dragging the crew member on the road while passersby watched in shock. At one point, she's heard shouting: 'G**d mein dum tha toh booking karna tha! Kyu aa jaate ho film banane?"* भोजपुरी एक्ट्रेस अंजना सिंह सड़क पर गाली गलौज कर रहीं हैं. ये वीडियो वायरल हो रहा है. मामला यूपी के बस्ती का है. — Priya singh (@priyarajputlive) May 5, 2025 Netizens are split—some sympathise with her frustration, while others say the meltdown could've been handled a little less dramatically. A couple of days after the dramatic hotel incident went viral, actress Anjana Singh opened up about her side of the story in an interview. She explained that she had clearly instructed the production team to confirm a new hotel booking first, after which she would shift her belongings and head to the shoot location. But according to her, no one ever got back to her with the hotel details. Despite the confusion, Anjana said she went ahead with the shoot and continued working the entire day—with all her belongings still kept in the vehicle. Things took a turn much later, when the shoot wrapped up and her staff checked around 12:30 am, asking, 'Is the hotel booked?" To this, production manager Anurag Mishra reportedly replied, 'Yes, it's booked." Anjana Singh didn't hold back as she revealed more details about the chaotic night that sparked a viral video storm. Speaking to the media days after the incident, the Bhojpuri actress said that once they finally reached the hotel, things went from bad to worse. According to Anjana, a hotel staff member refused to hand over the room key, stating that the payment hadn't been made. Her staff then called production manager Anurag Mishra, hoping to sort things out. But instead of resolving the issue, Anurag reportedly got into a heated phone argument with the hotel staff. Despite the back-and-forth, the hotel employee stood his ground and said, 'I won't give you the room. Please leave the premises." Frustrated and exhausted, Anjana asked, 'An artist shoots all day and barely gets four hours to rest. Should they be humiliated like this and left sitting on the street?" She also pointed out that she had an early morning departure for Patna the next day, but instead found herself caught in this late-night mess. Addressing the now-viral video, Anjana further clarified that the man claiming to be the producer in the clip was not actually the producer. 'The person seen in the video claiming to be the producer is not the real producer. The actual producer is Rajnish Mishra," she stated. She further alleged, 'Anurag arrived at the location around 1 am and physically assaulted my staff. My staff is like my family. When he raised his hand on them, I questioned him and that exact moment was captured and shared on social media out of context." The actress added, 'My staff is my family, and if anyone lays a hand on my family, I won't sit quietly." Adding to the already tense situation, Anjana revealed that after being denied the hotel room, she instructed her driver to take her to Gorakhpur so she could find accommodation elsewhere. However, even that plan hit a roadblock. According to Anjana, the driver flat-out refused to go, saying he had been told by the production team not to take her anywhere. This, she said, left her feeling helpless and furious. The actress was stranded in the middle of the night with nowhere to go. First Published: May 05, 2025, 16:43 IST
