'Virgin': Lorde's Embrace of Her Internal Enigma
Summary You can tell a lot about aLordealbumfrom its cover art. When Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor chooses to grace us with a studio project around every four years, she ensures each project's visual language lays the groundwork for the time capsule of a narrative she's ready to tell. Her studio debut and encapsulation of her tumultuous yet romantic teenage years,Pure Heroine, kept it simple in visual style, the young musician still finding her footing as a human, let alone an artist. Four years later cameMelodrama, which features a still-life painting of the singer in shades of blue, giving way to the free-spiritedSolar Power, which sees Lorde lean into something evocative of … happiness? Now, we haveVirgin,Lorde's most introspective record to date, fronted by an infrared X-ray image of Lorde's pelvis – IUD and just that: the New Zealand songstress's self-performed internal examination of not only the last four years, but the feelings that came long before that shaped her into the grown-up 16-year-old New York City-living girl she is today. Virginwas written between 2023 and 2025 and features production from Jim-E Stack across all of its 11 tracks – including singles 'Hammer,' which invites us into the chaos about to ensue as track one, 'What Was That' at track two, and 'Man Of The Year' at track four. 'Shapeshifter' spotlights the dualities deeply rooted at her core, as she croons on the chorus: 'I've been the siren, been the saint / I've been the fruit that leaves a stain / I've been up on the pedestal / But tonight I just wanna fall.' 'Favorite Daughter' is another high point, hearing Lorde look back on childhood traumas that she takes a different angle on two tracks later in 'Clearblue' (yes, after the pregnancy test.) Virginis about feeling all of those messy, misunderstood feelings, many of which come to light on the streets of NYC – Canal Street, Baby's All Right and outside on the Westside Highway. 1. Hammer2. Tequila Don Julio Unveils a Sensory Tasting Experience at Mercer Labs
Every sip of Tequila Don Julio tells a story — the story of Don Julio González and his dedicated approach to perfecting the spirit, while also championing his Mexican heritage. The luxury tequila brand invited audiences to experience that story for themselves at Por Amor: An Immersive Tasting Experience at Mercer Labs. González's journey began at his first tequila distillery in La Primavera — and now, that legacy comes to life in a high-tech, multisensory takeover. Set within the museum's art-meets-technology space, the experience transports guests to the nutrient-rich clay soils and warm climate of the Jaliscan highlands, where the story of Tequila Don Julio first took root. 1 of 5 2 of 5 3 of 5 4 of 5 5 of 5 The sensory installation ran from June 12-15. While some parts of the activation revealed the spirit's origin story, other rooms invited visitors to guided tastings of Tequila Don Julio Reposado, Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Anejo, and Tequila Don Julio 1942. While guests savored the layered flavors of Tequila Don Julio and it's award-winning 100% Blue Weber Agave tequila, they were also immersed in the scent of roasted agave and rich oak—hallmarks of the brand's signature character—set against the vibrant rhythms and energy of Mexico. Reflecting the brand's blend of passion and artistry, the experience invited attendees to tap into their own creativity by crafting custom artisanal cocktails. 'Mercer Labs is a home to the world's most forward-thinking creators, and this collaboration with Tequila Don Julio represents a perfect union of creative vision,' said Roy Nachum, Co-founder and Creative Director of Mercer Labs. 'We're proud to host the brand's first immersive takeover and give guests the opportunity to experience tequila in a way that's never been done before.'

ERL Follows up 'The Wild Bunch' With New Pre-Fall 2025 Denim Drop
Summary Following the previous reveal ofERL'snew collection,'The Wild Bunch,' the brand follows up with the debut of a new denim line for Pre-Fall 2025. The range spotlights sun-faded, uniquely dyed jeans, where each pair is one of a kind — telling its own story through wear and texture. With relaxed silhouettes, the pieces deliver a streetwear edge while retaining a sense of timeless versatility. The collection is rounded out with hand-knit varsity cardigans crafted by local artisans and finished with hand-embroidered ERL logos in white, emphasizing the brand's commitment to individuality and craftsmanship. This denim-focused sub-collection presents a more laid-back street look compared to the mainline's untamed, deconstructed edge. It features an array of casual staples, including jackets, hats and – most notably – denim jeans and shorts. Designed for everyday wear, these pieces are easy to style and pair seamlessly with beach-ready essentials like a gradient tie-dye blue tank top, complete with a bold 'California' patch across the chest. Altogether, 'The Wild Bunch' and its denim offshoot reflect ERL's evolving identity — balancing raw creativity with wearable design. Whether you lean into the chaos of the mainline or the ease of the denim capsule, the collection offers something for every kind.

AMIRI SS26 Paints an Opulent and Laidback Fever Dream of the Morning After
Summary AMIRI'sSpring/Summer 2026collection takes place within the sun-drenched grounds of the imagined Chateau AMIRI — a conceptual hotel blending cinematic glamor, artistic spirit and cultural convergence. Inspired by the hotel as a meeting place for diverse identities,Mike Amiribuilds on last season's nightlife atClub AMIRIand shifts to a softer, brighter chapter: the morning after. Here, loungewear merges with refined tailoring, capturing the easy luxury and intimacy of hotel life. Monogrammed robes, slippers and tassel-adorned details nod to grand hotel traditions. Meanwhile, silhouettes evoke a relaxed Riviera elegance. A key source of inspiration is artist Wes Lang, whose time in Room 34 of the Chateau Marmont spurred a visual dialogue between interior and exterior, stillness and movement. Lang's bird motifs, originally inked on hotel stationery, appear as embroidery and jacquard, fluttering through botanical beading that entwines nature and nostalgia. This poetic dialogue continues through the collection's styling, where silk smoking jackets, feather embellishments and ruffled tuxedo shirts convey the duality of dressed-up ease. This serves as a reflection of AMIRI's Los Angelean ethos, where vintage glamor and contemporary cool seamlessly coexist. The palette is light-infused and sun-bleached, a cocktail of mint, raspberry, pale blue, gold and green — echoing the palette of a life lived under clear skies. Womenswear takes on expanded elegance with open-knit gowns, jewel-toned silk tailoring, and delicate lace inserts that nod to lingerie. Accessories, like the newly introduced Honey bag in crocodile-embossed suede and soft leather, and slipper-inspired moccasins, reinforce the collection's relaxed opulence. Presented at Le Carreau du Temple – reimagined as the lush courtyard of Chateau AMIRI with bubbling fountains and cascading greenery – the show embodies the house's creative heart: a place where distinct personas cross paths, and disparate styles harmoniously meet.
