Dortmund could make an approach to United for Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund is reportedly assessing their conditions and also discussing internally. By Ravi Kumar Jha Published on July 29, 2025, 18:44 IST Borussia Dortmund is reportedly assessing their conditions and also discussing internally on whether to make a bid for Jadon Sancho or not in this transfer window. Jadon Sancho has been left out of United's squad for the pre-season tour to give him time to find a new club for him. Dortmund is not sure about making an approach for the forward. United are asking €20 million for Sancho and Juventus also seem to be interested. The English winger, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Signal Iduna Park, has been left out of Manchester United's pre-season tour as the club looks to facilitate his departure. United are demanding around €20 million for Sancho, a fee that Dortmund are believed to be considering carefully as they evaluate their squad needs and financial flexibility. While the Bundesliga side is yet to make an official approach, they remain a potential destination given Sancho's successful past spell at the club. Juventus have also shown interest, which could spark competition for his signature. With Sancho seeking regular playing time away from Old Trafford, his future could become one of the key talking points in the remaining weeks of the transfer window. Dortmund in advanced talks to sign Argentine defender

Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund are in advanced negotiations to sign Juan Gimenez from Rosario Central. However, the deal has not been finalized yet, as the Black and Yellows want to prioritize strengthening their attack before reinforcing the defense. Gimenez, a 19-year-old centre-back, is reportedly valued at around €5 million by his club. The Argentina U20 international is under contract with Rosario Central until the end of 2025. Both Bild and Sky have previously linked Dortmund with the young defender.

Could Jadon Sancho join Borussia Dortmund for a THIRD time? German side 'monitoring' Man United outcast after he was banished to 'Bomb Squad'

Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho ahead of a possible THIRD separate swoop for the forward, according to reports. Sancho has been banished to the 'Bomb Squad' at Old Trafford and is not in Ruben Amorim 's plans after Chelsea paid a £5million penalty to send him back to United. The 25-year-old had moved to the Blues on loan last summer after his relationship with Erik ten Hag broke down, but a permanent deal - and pay cut - did not materialise. As a result, United are again actively working to offload him. However, Sky Germany have claimed that Sancho is 'back on the agenda' at Dortmund and officials at the Bundesliga giants are monitoring his situation. United, it is said, will be happy to accept a bid between £16m-£18m, substantially lower than the £73m they splashed out to sign him from Dortmund in July 2021. His first spell at the club cemented his status as one of the world's best up-and-coming talents and he made an instant impact after returning to spend the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan, leading them to the Champions League final. Across both stints at Dortmund, Sancho made 158 appearances, scoring 53 goals. The winger has also been linked with Juventus and earlier this month, it was reported that his agent jetted out to Turin in a bid to break a £5m deadlock with United. Sancho joined fellow wantaways Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia in missing the Red Devils' pre-season tour in the US - while Marcus Rashford secured a dream move to Barcelona - but Amorim admitted he could look to re-integrate them. United want to offload all four players to fund new signings. 'We are just allowing these players to have time to think and to decide,' Amorim said. 'If we reach a point where they have to join the team, they will join because they are our players. I know Jason, Omar and the club have a number for these players. 'If they don't reach that, they will be Manchester United players, no doubt about that. I understand the clubs are waiting for the last minute, but they can have a surprise. 'I'm ready to receive the players. They have more competition. If you want to play in the World Cup next year you need to play, so I'm really happy with that because I have more options. If they have to fight each other to play, for me it's perfect.' Asked about the decision to leave four players behind, Amorim said that it was important to have a 'healthy' squad who appreciate what it means to be at United. 'If you see the best teams in the world, you feel the bond between all the players. I think that is really important,' the head coach added. 'Then I think we need to remind ourselves how special it is to be at Manchester United. It's the best club in the world. 'It should be for everyone that is on the pitch with our club. 'I really like that feeling. I really like to be in the group that is healthy. We are going to suffer and have problems. That feeling of bonding from everybody – from the staff, from the players, with the technical staff – is really important. 'I think it can help us to win some games that we are not performing so well, but something happened because the spirit is positive.'
