Taylor Swift Celebrates Selena Gomez's 33rd Birthday in a Dress Straight Out of Her BFF's Closet

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Selena Gomez doesn't turn 33 until July 22, but in true celebrity form, the party started the weekend prior. On July 20, the birthday girl shared the Instagram dump to end all IG dumps: photos from her '70s-themed bash. She went all out at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, but it wouldn't have been a proper Gomez party without Taylor Swift on the guest list. Rumor has it, Gomez's dress code instructed guests to channel '70s disco-era fashion. Swift's blueprint, however, was the guest of honor herself. Under the green-and-gold hue of Swift's viral photo filter, the longtime friends posed together in a pool of balloons. The Grammy winner swapped '70s-inspired attire for a long-sleeve little black dress, which looked straight out of Gomez's closet. Swift's party 'fit had all the makings of a Gomez-approved mini, including a plunging V-neck, padded shoulders, and a flirty hem that stopped mid-thigh. Its bodice sported a few sequins, but no outfit shimmered as much as Gomez's disco-ready jumpsuit. While celebrating "the most beautiful year" of her life, Gomez set the retro bar in a halter-neck jumpsuit, picked by her stylist, Erin Walsh. The Nadine Merabi number was covered in silver sequins from the knotted bodice to the bell-bottom pants. Then, the "Bluest Flame" singer hid its open back with a shaggy shearling coat. Her estimated $225,000 engagement ring shined alongside a Brilliant Earth diamond necklace. View Deal Given her affinity for minimalism, I was both shocked and excited to see Gomez in such a flashy birthday outfit. Usually, Swift's LBD is more her speed. At a Rare Beauty event on July 8, she styled a luxe long-sleeve mini, which bared a striking resemblance to Swift's latest look. Walsh dressed the Rare Beauty founder in a knit LBD from Self-Portrait, one of Gomez's signature labels on the street style scene. Like Swift, the Only Murders star accessorized with select sparklers—only Gabriel & Co. hoop earrings and her Abril Barret engagement ring. View Deal Since Swift's Olympus camera made an appearance at Gomez's get-together, perhaps she'll share more BTS pics on her bestie's actual birthday come Tuesday. Keep an eye out for that filter (you can't miss it). Shop LBDs Inspired by Taylor Swift View Deal View Deal View Deal View Deal View Deal

If you wish to make alterations, the ring is available in five gemstone qualities, four colors, 23 sizes and comes with free personalized engraving. What Is A Reasonable Engagement Ring Price? A reasonable engagement ring price largely depends on your budget. You should factor in the cost of the ring itself, taxes, insurance and any personalization details. However, a quality diamond paired with its setting typically starts at around $2,000 and increases from there. Still, there are plenty of beautiful rings available that are less expensive than the average ring price. What Is The Most Affordable Engagement Ring Site? There are a handful of engagement ring websites that offer options to meet most budgeting needs and style preferences. After assessing multiple factors, our team named Quince as the site with the best affordable engagement rings. Quince offers high-quality rings at a low cost, including both lab-grown and natural diamonds, and has a generous return window. How Can You Shop For Affordable Engagement Rings On A Budget? When shopping for an affordable engagement ring, it's essential to set a budget for yourself before you start looking. To maximize your spending, consider purchasing a lab-grown diamond, as these tend to be more cost-effective than mined diamonds. Characteristics and qualities to consider when looking at natural diamonds include the Four C's (cut, color, clarity and carat weight), certifications, metals and diamond setting. What Is The Cheapest Month To Buy An Engagement Ring? You can find discounts on engagement rings throughout the year, but certain months typically offer better deals than others. For example, jewelry sales tend to slow down at the end of summer, making it a good time to score savings during this quieter shopping period. The holiday season—particularly November and December—often brings a wave of promotions to attract gift-givers. Following the holidays, January is also considered a slow month for jewelry retailers, so you may see additional sales aimed at boosting post-holiday purchases.

EXCLUSIVE: Madison Keys Joins Brilliant Earth as a Brand Ambassador Ahead of U.S. Open, Talks Tennis Icons and Her Upcoming Jewelry Collection

'I've always been a fan of [Brilliant Earth] from the very start. And I've also always been a pretty avid jewelry-wearer, as I'm sure many people can see,' Madison Keys told WWD in an exclusive interview. The American tennis star joined forces with the global leader in ethically sourced jewelry, Brilliant Earth, as a new brand ambassador, with a launch of new styles coming later this summer ahead of the U.S. Open in Flushing Meadows, New York City, where Keys will compete. Even before she joined Brilliant Earth as an ambassador, Keys always admired the company's vision and mission. 'I like the very clean and simple but modern style that they've always had. I've always loved the option to have lab-grown, as well,' Keys said, citing 'the ethical sourcing' Brilliant Earth uses for their gems and jewelry pieces. When I got the opportunity to partner, it just felt like the easiest partnership.' From the start of her professional tennis career, which began when Keys was just a teenager, the athlete used jewelry as a 'way to express my personality and kind of show my personal style a little bit more, just because on court we obviously have our match kits that are scripted,' she said. More than just the designs, the accessibility of Brilliant Earth's pieces further validated her choice to partner with the company. 'I'm a big believer that anyone and everyone deserves sparkly things. For [Brilliant Earth] to be, basically, the first company to offer that was always something that I was really excited about,' she said, referencing Brilliant Earth's ethically sourced and lab-grown gems. Part of Keys' ambassadorship duties includes the athlete's role in crafting the forthcoming jewelry launch, which will drop toward the end of the summer just in time for Keys to compete on the hard courts of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for the U.S. Open. 'Being able to work with the team from Brilliant Earth to kind of create something that is very meaningful and special to me was really cool,' she said. 'I've never really gotten to create anything from the concept space all the way to having a final product. I'm really excited that so many of the things that I talked about and were really important to me — not only just my journey within tennis but my entire life — we were able to put that into this launch,' Keys said. Keys' partnership with Brilliant Earth also opened the chance for the athlete to muse on the brilliant trailblazers, tennis stars and moments that come to mind ahead of the grass court Grand Slam event, Wimbledon, which begins Monday. Who came to mind for the athlete? Venus and Serena Williams. 'They have done so much for the sport, just as themselves just being true to who they are,' Keys said. 'Serena's career has been the greatest thing that I think we'll ever see,' Keys said of the 23-time Grand Slam champion and Wynn Beauty founder. 'Seeing her do all of the amazing things that she's done on the court but then off of the court be such a creative person and a great business woman — it's very inspiring to see someone that has the level of success that she does,' she said. 'Venus is the reason that I started playing tennis,' Keys added. 'On top of that, her having such a huge role in equal prize money for women on our tour…we're all so forever grateful for both of them.' Now a Grand Slam champion herself after winning the 2025 Australian Open Women's Singles title in Melbourne last January, Keys is trailblazing her own path through tennis history. 'Australia was obviously the biggest thing that I've done in my career. I think the reason that it still is probably going to be really hard to top as my most brilliant moment is just because of the people that I had around with me,' Keys said. Keys had come close to winning a Grand Slam on previous occasions, but to have her 'favorite people' by her side in January to lift the Australian Open trophy was a 'truly raw, emotional experience and we were just all so happy. To be able to do all of that together with the people I had around me, it'll be a really hard moment to ever top.'
