Family pays tribute to man killed in Buckinghamshire M40 crash

A family has paid tribute to a "selfless and kind" man who was killed on the Hussain, 27, died following a crash on the motorway, close to junction two, by Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, on 12 July. In a statement released by Thames Valley Police, his family said he "doted on his family, who in turn adored his wonderful, ever-thoughtful presence". In total four people have been arrested in relation to the crash. FOUR more people have been arrested following a fatal car crash. A 27-year-old was tragically killed after a Mercedes and Volkswagen Golf collided on the M40 at around 1.15am Saturday morning. 2 2 Five people have since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The first was arrested on Saturday, with police issuing an appeal to identify the four other individuals in the blue Mercedes AMG C250. They left the crash site near Beaconsfield on foot. The Volkswagen driver from High Wycombe sadly died of his injuries at the scene, while his passenger suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital. Thames Valley Police said a 26-year-old man from Farnham Royal had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public space. The man has since been bailed for the driving offences but has been charged and held in custody relating to the knife offence. He is set to appear in High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Monday. Four further arrests have since been made. This includes two women, aged 22 and 21, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Two men, aged 23 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified drug above the specified limit. Following the accident the road between junction 1A and junction 2 was closed. A diversion was put in place while ambulances and fire crews attended the scene. It was reopened almost 12 hours later at 12.30pm. Police have appealed to anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward. Detective Sergeant Edward Crofts of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: 'We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this tragic collision and have now made five arrests in total. 'This is a complex investigation following a fatality. I would urge the public not to speculate on the circumstances or share footage on social media. Please pass any information to the investigation team. 'I would again urge anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or the manner of driving of the Mercedes in the moments leading up to the collision, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police, either online via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference 43250349522.'

A man caught with a knife by police investigating a fatal crash on the M40 has been jailed. Jyrelle O'Connor, of Blackpond Lane, Farnham Royal, Buckinghamshire, was arrested by traffic officers following a struggle near the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Beaconsfield after they were called to a fatal collision in the early hours of Saturday, Thames Valley Police said. The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to being in possession of a knife and obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court. O'Connor was sentenced to eight months' imprisonment at Monday's hearing. A 27-year-old man was killed and his passenger seriously hurt in the collision near junction two. The force's roads policing unit was searching for those involved in the crash when they arrested O'Connor, it said. He was discovered to have a folding pocket knife, with a blade measuring more than 7.5cm (2.9in). Investigating officer Det Sgt Ed Crofts, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "He attempted to make off from officers and resisted arrest when the knife was located. "He was arrested and charged within 24 hours and has now been jailed for the offence. "We will never tolerate anybody carrying dangerous weapons in our community and will seek to bring to justice those that do so."
