When Did Shefali Jariwala Meet Parag Tyagi? A Look Into Their Love Story
As fans struggle to accept Shefali Jariwala's untimely passing, let's revisit her love story with Parag Tyagi. Kaanta Laga girl Shefali Jariwala passed away suddenly at the age of 42, which has left fans shocked. She reportedly suffered a heart attack at midnight and was rushed to the hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi, but she was declared dead by the doctors. The Bigg Boss 13 fame's passing has saddened her family, especially Parag, who was by her side until the very end. The couple often shared their love openly on social media, showing how close and caring their relationship was. As fans struggle to accept the loss, let's revisit their special love story. Shefali, born and brought up in Mumbai, found fame early in life with the hit song Kaanta Laga, which was later featured in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, starring Akshay Kumar. She entered the entertainment world soon after finishing her studies. In 2004, she married music director Harmeet Singh from the Meet Brothers duo. But their marriage didn't last long and they got divorced in 2009. After the end of her first marriage, she wasn't sure if she'll be able to love someone else again. But things began to change when actor Parag came into her life. Parag Tyagi first met Shefali Jariwala at a dinner party hosted by a common friend. For him, it was love at first sight. But the actress, still healing from her past, took her time. After going through a tough divorce with Harmeet Singh, she was careful about trusting again. Parag didn't push her. Instead, he offered the support and care she needed. Over time, Shefali saw how genuine his love was and after dating for almost four years, the couple tied the knot in 2014. Their wedding was originally planned earlier, but they decided to postpone it because Parag's father was unwell at that time. Once everything became stable, the couple finally celebrated their special day with close friends and family. In a 2014 interview with Masala, Parag Tyagi, admiring Shefali Shah, said, 'Shefali is a sweetheart. When her music video was out, people had another image of her, but she is completely the opposite of her screen image. She is a girl any guy would love to have as a wife. She is very caring and it shows. To judge a person, you need to look into what is happening in his or her home. She loves her parents and looks after them like a son would. She also looks after my parents. I don't have enough time to spend with them, but she is always in touch with them." According to ANI reports, Mumbai Police received the news of Shefali's death at around 1 AM. After that, her body was taken to Cooper Hospital for a post mortem. While it is being said that she suffered a cardiac arrest, the exact reason behind her sudden death is still not confirmed. First Published: June 28, 2025, 09:34 IST
