Shoppers rush to buy £44 Lenovo Chromebook that's 'perfect for students' and online learning

This is the perfect laptop for those who need a basic laptop to help take notes in class. Wowcher has a wide variety of tech deals currently on offer for fans to check out. From tablets to AirPods to Macbooks, there is a bargain available for everyone who is happy to use an older, refurbished piece of tech. All of these devices have been treated by experts, so shoppers should only notice some cosmetic wear on the device as it has had a previous owner. Apart from this, they should operate just like they did when they first came out of the box. For students who are looking for a cheap device to use during classes and to store their notes, Wowcher currently has a cracking deal on a Chromebook. Originally priced at £99, savvy shoppers can now grab a Lenovo Chromebook 11.6" 100e Laptop for only £44.99. Described as being perfect for students, professionals and anyone on the move, this 'high performance' Lenovo Chromebook features an efficient MediaTek processor, a crisp HD display and a variety of robust, durable features, reports the Liverpool Echo. As the device is run by Chrome OS, shoppers need to be aware that the keyboard features a slightly different layout than Windows and Apple laptops, which could take a little while to get used to. Additionally, this model was first launched in 2018, so shoppers shouldn't expect crazy fast speeds if trying to multitask. One of the appealing features of this laptop is that it is equipped with 360 degree flexibility. This means users can fold the screen to switch between using the device as a laptop or a tablet. This also means that while in tablet mode, shoppers can use the base of the device as a stand for a more comfortable experience. For those who are wanting a more up to date Chromebook that will arrive new, Argos has slightly dropped the price of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 14in MediaTek 8GB 128GB Chromebook. Now retailing for £169 (RRP £179), this laptop features a 13.5 hour battery life and a 14-inch FHD display. However, if shoppers are happy to spend a bit more, another popular laptop for students is the ASUS Vivobook. Reduced down from £499.99 to £393, this laptop comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Boasting a 15.6-inch display, this laptop may be more difficult to lug around to classes in comparison to the refurbed Lenovo. The Lenovo Chromebook has been refurbished by Renew Electronics, which has received a variety of reviews from previous customers on Trustpilot. One happy shopper said: "Can't really fault them.. ordered a 'good' Apple Watch Series 4, arrived a few days later than it advised but I think that was a Royal Mail issue, customer service good and helpful." With another five-star reviewer adding: "Order arrived promptly. The packaging was excellent and the laptop was better than I expected." However, one shopper had an issue with the delivery, writing: "Computer fine. Delivery awful. Waited in on arrival when notified. Never appeared. Computer was sent to Airdrie instead of Coatbridge. Once again never arrived when notified. Took 8 days to get it." While another shopper noted: "I did have a slight problem with start up, however it was a problem of my making. I emailed the company but never received any communication back, which was rather disappointing. Got the problem sorted myself." Despite this, another pleased customer wrote: "Bought a cheap Chromebook from these guys … and for the price I paid it's amazing. Doesn't look like a refurb, runs well, and everything I needed was in the box. Great buy." While a sixth person was happy with the customer service, writing: "It was easy, there was a small issue with a charger and it was replaced right away, the replacement arrived within 3 days." Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra certification confirms its battery size and charging power

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has just been certified by SGS Fimko, and this process has confirmed its battery capacity and charging capabilities. The tablet will have an 11,600 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. Compared to its predecessor from last year, that's a tiny 400 mAh increase in battery size, while the charging speed has remained the same. This certification hasn't revealed any other specs. Based on a Geekbench listing, the Tab S11 Ultra will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset (even though it will most likely launch after the Dimensity 9500 has become official), paired with 12GB of RAM. It will run Android 16 from day one, undoubtedly with Samsung's One UI 8 on top. Via

Poco X8 Pro may have already been certified

The Poco X7 and X7 Pro debuted back in January, and the brand is apparently already working on the X8 Pro. This device may have just received its EEC certification, with the model number 2511FPC34G. This model number has recently been spotted in an IMEI database as belonging to the Poco X8 Pro, which will be a rebranded version of the upcoming China-exclusive Redmi Turbo 5, that one bearing the model number 2511FRT34C. If all of this pans out, then the Poco X8 Pro should be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 SoC, and it should boast a 6.67-inch OLED screen with "1.5K" resolution. A metal frame and an overall thin and light build will also be in. Those are unfortunately all the details we have right now, but we'll let you know when we find out more. It's unclear if this very early certification indicates that the Poco X8 Pro will launch less than 12 months after its predecessor or not. Xiaomi Poco X7 Xiaomi Poco X7 Pro Via

Google Pixels just got a welcome boost for PC emulation

Hadlee Simons / Android Authority TL;DR GameSir has confirmed that its GameHub PC emulator will also perform better on Google Pixel phones. This comes shortly after it announced performance improvements for devices with Mali graphics. The company hasn't detailed which improvements will come to Pixel phones, but this is still good news for mobile gamers. Controller brand GameSir recently announced that its GameHub app for PC emulation offers much better support for devices with Mali GPUs. The company specifically pointed to devices with recent high-end Dimensity chips. We also wondered whether this would affect Pixel phones, and we now have an answer. GameSir confirmed to Android Authority that Google Pixel phones will benefit from Mali GPU performance improvements: Our collaboration is carried out through MediaTek, but all devices with Mali GPUs — including the Pixel series — will benefit. This is a strategic move on an ecosystem level. There's no word on specific improvements coming to Pixel devices, but this is good news for Pixel owners who want to emulate PC games. I'm also guessing these enhancements could benefit Samsung phones with older Exynos chips, as these also have Mali GPUs. The GameHub team previously announced that its Mali GPU improvements enable 'performance comparable to Qualcomm Adreno, and even surpassing it in some scenarios.' The company even said it was teaming up with MediaTek to eventually release custom drivers to 'address long-standing Mali GPU issues at the chip level, further enhancing the gaming performance of Dimensity devices.' There is one potential downside to this announcement, though. The Google Pixel 10 series is rumored to have an Imagination GPU in lieu of Mali graphics. If confirmed, this means the Pixel 10 phones won't benefit from these newly announced optimizations. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ .
