OnePlus 15 launch timeline leaked: Check out the expected specifications, price, and more

OnePlus 15 launch: The onePlus 15 launch timeline leak is stirring excitement in the tech community, with reliable rumours that it will debut alongside the newly tipped Ace 6 series. Expert whispers suggest the OnePlus 15 will arrive powered by the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, and accompanied by a 6.78‑inch flat LTPO AMOLED display, designed to emphasise usability over flash. Leaked details also hint at a bold shift in hardware strategy—OnePlus may drop its longtime Hasselblad camera partnership in favour of an in-house image system, while preserving flagship-wide triple‑lens cameras and fast charging support. As anticipation builds, the OnePlus 15 becomes a thoughtfully designed powerhouse. Read on to discover why this could set a new tone for future OnePlus flagships. OnePlus 15 launch timeline in India (Expected) As per information provided by Weibo user Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese), the OnePlus 15 is expected to debut in October. This indicates that the smartphone manufacturer from Shenzhen intends to release the successor to the OnePlus 13 almost a year after its introduction in China. OnePlus 15 expected specifications Display: A significant change noted by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station is the transition to a flat display — moving away from the curved screens in recent OnePlus flagship models. The 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display is anticipated to have a 1.5K resolution, slightly lower than the 2K (QHD+) screen of the OnePlus 13. Nevertheless, the new design includes ultra-slim and symmetrical bezels, similar to the sleek edges found on contemporary iPhones. Design: Although the details of the design are not yet known, initial speculation suggests a slim and minimalist structure. Should OnePlus keep reducing the thickness of its devices — with the OnePlus 13 measuring 8.5mm — the 15 could be even slimmer without compromising battery size. Processor: The device might be powered by Qualcomm's rumoured Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, known internally as the SM8850. Benchmarks reveal remarkable performance, with the chip achieving a score of 3.8 million on AnTuTu and offering a 25 per cent enhancement in Geekbench 6 relative to its predecessor. There are also claims that it is constructed using TSMC's 3nm (N3P) process, which offers enhanced efficiency and power. Considering that the OnePlus 13 had configurations with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, it is likely that similar or even higher specifications will be available. Camera: In terms of cameras, specifics remain unclear. As per Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 15 will feature a triple-lens rear camera system with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Nonetheless, another trustworthy source of leaks, Smart Pikachu, has proposed that the periscope lens might be a 200-megapixel sensor. If this is the case, it would represent a huge advance in OnePlus's zoom and imaging functions. OnePlus 15 expected price For its basic version, the OnePlus 13 was introduced for Rs 69,999. Although the OnePlus 15 might come with multiple improvements, the price may not increase significantly. Although there are no confirmations, the OnePlus 15 may have a starting price of Rs 80,000. While it appears probable that OnePlus will launch in China this October as per its usual release cycle, we are still five months away from the official reveal. This allows for ample adjustment of hardware and features before unveiling the final model.

OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6 now rumored to launch together, here's when

According to a new rumor from China, the OnePlus 15 will launch in the country in October, but not alone. It will allegedly be unveiled alongside the Ace 6 (and possibly the Ace 6 Pro as well), which is an interesting change in strategy for the brand, which last year unveiled the OnePlus 13 in October and the Ace 5 in December. But wait, there's more. For quite some time now, the OnePlus 15 has been rumored to downgrade to a "1.5K" screen resolution, and lose the Hasselblad camera collaboration. It should compensate for that with the best battery life ever on a OnePlus flagship. And it might be joined by a OnePlus 15 Pro, though this could be coming later down the line, possibly around December. OnePlus 13 The OnePlus 15 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC (model number SM8850) which Qualcomm is announcing in September, but the Ace 6 will apparently use the yet-unnamed SM8845, which may or may not end up being called Snapdragon 8s Gen 5. This will reportedly be unveiled alongside the 8 Elite 2, representing a small step down from that chip, with performance that's just below that of the original Snapdragon 8 Elite. The OnePlus Ace 6 is said to be the first device using this chip. Source (in Chinese) | Via

OnePlus 15 leak shows why the Galaxy S26 series urgently needs silicon-carbon batteries

Joe Maring / Android Authority TL;DR The OnePlus 15 will apparently have a 7,000mAh or higher battery. That means the upcoming phone could have a much bigger battery than the Galaxy S25 series. The phone is also tipped to arrive with a 'SuperBlack' color option that could make it look like a 'black hole.' We thought the OnePlus 13 was one of the best Android phones of 2025, but OnePlus is undoubtedly hard at work on the follow-up. We've already seen a few apparent OnePlus 15 leaks, and it looks like another major leak has given us more details. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station revealed a few apparent OnePlus 15 features on Weibo. The leaker noted in response to a follower that the OnePlus 15's battery is at least 7,000mAh in size. That makes it almost twice as large as the Galaxy S25 Edge and its 3,900mAh battery, and 2,000mAh larger than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It's also a notable boost over the OnePlus 13's already sizable 6,000mAh battery. The leaker also noted in a follow-up comment that the phone will have a 'multi-fold' periscope camera with a small camera sensor. There's no word on the exact sensor size, but I hope it's at least on par with the OnePlus 13 and its well-received 3x periscope camera (1/1.95-inch). After all, we praised the OnePlus 13 for its 'incredible' camera zoom, so a downgrade here would be disappointing. Otherwise, Digital Chat Station claimed that the phone will have a so-called SuperBlack color option that makes the device look like a 'black hole.' I'm guessing this color scheme is similar to the blackest black color on the market, which is said to absorb 99.9% of all visible light. Check out the leaker's machine-translated post below. The tipster also says you should expect custom side buttons. We already expected at least one customizable side button, as OnePlus has ditched the alert slider in favor of a remappable key. We're not sure what an additional custom side key would be used for, although we have seen many phones launch with a camera shutter key in 2025. In any event, the tipster reiterated that the phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a flat 6.78-inch screen (1.5K resolution). This leak also comes after the source claimed that the OnePlus 15 would have its own 'image brand,' suggesting an end to the Hasselblad partnership. We're still months away from the OnePlus 15's expected launch window, so we'll undoubtedly hear more rumors and see leaked images between now and then. But it certainly looks like this won't be an iterative release. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ . No Hasselblad in OnePlus 15? New leak reveals big OnePlus camera update

Here we go again! The rumoured OnePlus 15, said to be the successor to the OnePlus 13, will reportedly launch without the Hasselblad branding. And this isn't the first time we've heard something like this about OnePlus and Hasselblad parting ways. Before the launch of the OnePlus 13, it was widely speculated that the company would be ending its partnership with Hasselblad, and the OnePlus 13 would launch without the Hasselblad branding. However, that didn't happen, and the OnePlus 13 featured a triple-rear camera system, once again tuned in collaboration with Hasselblad. That said, this time around, it's looking more likely that the partnership may actually come to an to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus 15 will not feature Hasselblad-tuned cameras and will instead adopt a new in-house imaging engine, much like what OPPO has done with its recent launches, the Find X8 and Find X8 Ultra in China. Both those phones use OPPO's proprietary Lumo imaging from this, the leak also highlights some of the key specifications of the OnePlus 15. It appears the company might scale things back on the display front, with the OnePlus 15 said to sport a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution — a step-down from the 6.82-inch quad-curved AMOLED screen with 2K resolution found on the OnePlus 13. The upside here is the flat display. Much like the OnePlus 13R, this move could be seen as a practical choice. While some might consider it a downgrade — and as good as quad-curved screens are (certainly better than older sloping-curved panels) — a flat display often proves more usable in day-to-day Also, in case you're wondering why OnePlus is skipping the number 14 and naming the next flagship the OnePlus 15 instead, it's because the number 4 is considered unlucky in Chinese culture. That's why the company is expected to jump straight from 13 to 15 for its next major OnePlus 15 is also rumoured to retain the triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup from the OnePlus 13, including a primary sensor, an ultra-wide, and a periscope telephoto lens. On the performance side, the phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, which is likely to be unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit in leaks have also claimed that the OnePlus 15 will pack the largest battery ever in a flagship phone — reportedly over 7,000mAh — with support for 100W wired and wireless charging. The phone is also said to come with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, just like the OnePlus OnePlus 15 is expected to launch in China by the end of this year, followed by a global release — including India — in early 2026. To recall, the OnePlus 13 was launched in India earlier this year, on January 7, at a starting price of Rs 69,999.

This OnePlus 15 camera leak makes me very nervous about the flagship

OnePlus's next flagship smartphone is expected to be the OnePlus 15 – due to arrive later this year. The rumour mill has started churning out some leaks about the handset, including one major camera titbit. And I'm officially nervous about the flagship. Since 2021, Hasselblad has been a quiet co-pilot on OnePlus's camera journey. The results haven't always been revolutionary, but you can't deny the colour science got a notable boost, and portrait shots started getting more effective. So a leak from the reputable Digital Chat Station on Weibo says that the OnePlus 15 might ditch the Hasselblad collab in favour of an in-house 'image brand' makes me twitchy. There's a reason phone makers like to slap big-name logos on their camera modules. It's not just for show – those partnerships usually nudge the camera tuning in the right direction. Without it, there's a risk we're back to OnePlus' days of good hardware, muddled by inconsistent camera results. But, the leak suggests the OnePlus 15 will still have a triple-lens setup, including a periscope lens and a big primary sensor. That sounds great on paper, but hardware alone doesn't make a brilliant camera system. Tuning, software, and experience matter – and that's where Hasselblad's influence has historically helped OnePlus punch above its weight. Of course, there's a chance that OnePlus has picked up enough know-how from years of collaboration to go solo without things crashing and burning. But that's a pretty big gamble. It's hard not to see this as a cost-cutting move dressed up as innovation. The rest of the spec sheet is shaping up just fine. A 6.78-inch 1.5K flat display might seem like a step down from the OnePlus 13's curvy QHD+ panel. But flat screens are far more practical in daily use. Add in the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chip and thinner bezels, and the OnePlus 15 is still sounding like a flagship contender. I'm just hoping the camera doesn't let the side down.
