All you need to know about Wuyang in Overwatch 2: Abilities, perks and more

(Image via Blizzard Entertainment) Overwatch 2 is about to bring a new wave with a new Support hero, Wuyang. The character, since its announcement, has been the center of speculation and leaks. While Blizzard Entertainment has not officially confirmed all things, the revelations are offering a solid look at Wuyang's abilities, unique perks and weapons. Here is all we know so far about him. Wuyang Overwatch 2 abilities and weapons The core kit of Wuyang, Overwatch 2 new support hero revolves around the manipulation of water for aid and offense. Wuyang primary weapon is Xuanwu Staff— the fire-damaging water orbs. Players can hold fire to guide the path of the orb and charge it for a much bigger explosion. For healing, Wuyang's alt-fire Restorative Stream places steady healing on an ally. To hold the button would intensify the healing but consume dedicated resources. — SkaVorah (@SkaVorah) Wuyang's active abilities help enhance mobility and team support. Guardian Wave sends forth the water surge. It can boost healing that's received by allies it touches, while it can forcefully knock down the enemies. On the other hand, the passive abilities of Wuyang help to regenerate health quickly. To reposition, Rushing Torrent allows Wuyang to surf the wave and gain a significant amount of jump height and speed. Tidal Blast, Wuyang ultimate ability, further encases him or the ally in the protective water. The bubble shortly after explodes, as it knocks down the nearby foes and delivers massive healing to the protected target. Wuyang perks and playstyle offering strategic advantages Beyond base abilities, leaked perks further added depth to Wuyang's playstyle. Some minor perks provide tactical boosts. Like Overflow can instantly refill ammo and healing resources when Rushing Torrent gets used. Balance, on the other hand, rewards aggression, ensuring to damage enemies using water orbs, temporarily and increasing passive healing using Restorative Stream. Some major perks that significantly help alter the ability function. Like, Ebb and Flow can make Guardian Wave automatically return to the origin point, after they have reached the end. However, it does deal with less damage on the return trip. Falling Rain further transforms Wuyang's primary fire. It allows simultaneous better control of 3 weaker water orbs for having wider area pressure, but with the reduced individual impact. All these perks suggest rewarding players who can master the positioning and ability combos. The leaked design of Wuyang points to high-mobility and dynamic Support that's focused on the burst healing windows and disruption of enemy positioning. The reliance of Wuyang on resource management and the perk choices further promise a high skill ceiling. While the Overwatch 2 trial dates are soon (August 14, 2025, to August 18, 2025), the Blizzard Entertainment hero leaks offers a clear picture of the new aquatic hero in Overwatch 2. Overwatch 2 launches new Loverwatch dating sim with more characters but only in select regions

Blizzard has launched a new version of its Loverwatch dating sim in Overwatch 2, allowing players to interact with additional characters, but the event is currently exclusive to Chinese servers. Loverwatch first appeared in 2023, letting players date characters such as Genji and Mercy in a browser-based mini-game, including a secret Cupid Hanzo ending. The spinoff mode received positive reception, with many players requesting its return in the main game. The newly announced Loverwatch update expands the playable roster, adding characters including Lifeweaver, Mauga, Juno, Junker Queen, Cassidy, and Genji, all featured in new artwork and a trailer. Characters appear in themed attire, giving them a different look outside of their standard in-game skins. However, the update is currently only accessible within China. Users on social media noted that to play the dating sim, players must register for the Chinese Overwatch 2 server, providing national ID and phone verification. Content on these accounts does not transfer to international servers, limiting access for players outside China. Overwatch 2 returned to China in February 2025 after a two-year absence due to a licensing issue, offering various in-game events and rewards upon its re-entry. It remains unclear whether this Loverwatch update is exclusive to the Chinese community or if Blizzard plans to release the mode globally in future updates. Players outside China have expressed hope that the expanded Loverwatch event may arrive on international servers for future seasonal events, potentially by Valentine's Day next year.

Overwatch 2 director says Blizzard is interested in a TV series

Overwatch 2 director Aaron Keller has stated that Blizzard is interested in producing a TV series for the game and bringing back animated shorts. Keller shared these comments while speaking with Twitch streamer Jay3, where he discussed the future of Overwatch 2's story following the cancellation of its PvE content. Keller said the team would 'love to do that' when asked about a potential TV series for Overwatch 2. He also noted, 'Even more than just a TV series, one of the things we see or hear our players talk about is Overwatch has dropped the ball when it comes to story and lore.' Blizzard previously released animated shorts to introduce heroes and expand the game's universe before the launch of the first Overwatch. While Overwatch 2 has had some shorts, they have been less frequent, and Keller expressed a desire to increase their presence. 'For me, personally, for us to say that Overwatch 2 is firing on all cylinders, we need to have some of those [shorts] come back,' Keller said during the discussion. Reports cited by journalist Jason Schreier have indicated that an Overwatch TV series was previously in development along with series for Warcraft and Diablo, but plans were cancelled following legal disputes between Blizzard and Netflix.

"It's all business and marketing": Fans respond as Ludwig reveals shocking video message from Luka Dončić

Image via: x/LudwigAhgren In a turn of events mixing sports and streaming culture, Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren started a firestorm of responses online after revealing a video message from NBA star Luka Dončić . The video is being considered by many as a sincere apology from Dončić for having to miss Ludwig's Basketball Jam event, but others view the message as a calculated move, which leads to fan theories and meme creation on the internet. A Tournament With a Twist Ludwig's Basketball Jam 2025, on July 12, is no typical sports event. The tournament unites six teams consisting of only content creators and internet personalities in a basketball face-off. The event will be streamed live and thrown open to fans, free, first-come first-served, a trademark Ludwig mix of accessibility and showmanship. In the excitement, Ludwig caught fans off-guard even more when he aired a recorded message from Dončić on a recent stream. Fan Split: Real or PR? Though many fans commended the act, labeling it 'wholesome' and 'unexpectedly sweet,' others weren't so sure. One Redditor encapsulated the doubtful camp with the comment, 'It's all business and marketing.' Others pointed out that the clip came off as a strategic PR play, particularly given Dončić's increasing prominence in the esports and streaming worlds. Fueling the crossover chatter, another fan brought attention to Luka's gaming skills, noting that he's one of the top 500 ranked Overwatch 2 players. For some, this was eyebrow raising, was this message a connection between his gamer self and his athlete celebrity? Ludwig's Genius Move? Whether it was genuine friendship or business coalition, Ludwig's choice to broadcast the missive accomplished its objective: it got attention. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like [지원]여성 갱년기 영양제 무료증정 이벤트로 신청자 몰려.. 소나무 더 알아보기 Undo Famous for blurring the lines between online entertainment and real-world events, Ludwig once again demonstrated why he's leading the way in streamer-hosted spectacles. Overwatch 2 Stadium patch notes: New update buffs DVa and Junkrat, nerfs Kiriko

Game developer Blizzard just released a fresh Stadium patch for Overwatch 2 on July 9, 2025. This update focuses on balancing several heroes in the fast-paced Stadium mode. While some got stronger, others were toned down to improve overall gameplay. From DVa's stronger slam to Kiriko's reduced clone power, here's everything that changed. DVa and Junkrat among the biggest winners DVa got a buff to her Tokki Slam, which now deals more damage. This should make her a stronger pick during close fights. Junkrat received multiple improvements. His cash income from damage and healing went up by over 11 percent. His Hop Boom now deals more damage, and Rainin' Lead fires more frequently. Items like Lithium Alloy and Fawkes' Funny Fuel also got a power boost, improving his overall damage and healing abilities. Nerfs for Kiriko, Juno and Ana Kiriko took a clear hit. Her Clone Conjuration now heals and damages much less than before, although its duration has been increased. Juno's Hyper Healer got weaker as the Overhealth dropped from 100 to 75. Ana also saw changes. Her 'Our Turn' power now reduces cooldown for less time, while 'My Turn' and' Your Full Potentia'l give stronger buffs. Her Venomous damage was raised too.
