Selena Gomez wigs out bold new bangs in Summer Hair Switch-Up! ""I would, but I'd regret it"

On Sunday, June 23, Selena Gomez , the founder of Rare Beauty, posted on Instagram a new wolf cut hairstyle that she later disclosed was a wig. Gomez has donned bangs on several occasions over the years, but this time she is only going to wear them temporarily. The singer noted in her caption that growing and maintaining bangs is not for the faint of heart and can require a significant amount of dedication. Gomez wrote, "I would, but I'd regret it, then get it redone, so I simply won't #bangs." Gomez wore a fluffy white bathrobe and posed poutily for the camera in her selfie, which featured her new hairstyle. There are numerous messy layers and extra volume in the wolf cut. The result is a delightful departure from the Only Murders in the Building star's typical looks. In an Instagram post on Friday, Gomez's longtime makeup artist Hung Vanngo—who also works with Halle Berry and Scarlett Johansson—was the first to share her temporary look with the world. In a playful reference to Gomez's bang debut post from March 2022, Vanngo captioned the selfie he took with Gomez, "New hair, who dis?" Orlando Pita, the final glam team expert to cut Gomez's bangs in 2022, is the man behind her trendy hairstyle. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Lady Gaga, Anne Hathaway, and Julianne Moore are just a few of the famous people who visit Orlando. "Having a fun day playing with @selenagomez " A cute picture of Pita and Gomez together was captioned by Pita. Gomez is the queen of the slicked-back bun as of late. The singer is best known for wearing her hair down in a middle part, but in recent years, she has experimented with an oversized side part. Hollywood stylist Renato Campora styled Gomez's collarbone-length bob in a side part with bouncy curls for the 2025 Academy Awards. In the end, Gomez might just demonstrate that bangs are ready to make a comeback, whether or not she commits fully.

Selena Gomez's New Choppy Cowboy Bob Is The Best Way To Wear A Fringe This Summer

Selena Gomez just proved that bobs with bangs are trending this summer, debuting the ultimate 'choppy cowboy bob' via Instagram. The singer traded out her sleek, one-length haircut this weekend, stepping out with a new layered crop, complete with wispy waves and a flattering letterbox fringe. Lo0king for a way to update your lengths for the warmer months ahead? This is how to give this tousled cool girl cut a whirl in 2025. Celebrity hairdresser Melissa Timperley defines the 'cowboy bob' as rugged meets refined. Think effortless texture with a modern finesse. 'Slightly longer at the front with shaggy, undone layers, this cut channels effortless cool with a rebellious edge,' she says. 'It pairs perfectly with curtain bangs or a sweeping fringe, giving it that lived-in, windswept feel. Think city-chic meets desert muse: confident, carefree, and unapologetically stylish.' If you're thinking of recreating the cut yourself, it's best to start by examining your natural texture first. For hair types with a natural movement and wave, air-styling will be your best friend. Thicker heads of hair will be best suited to a nourishing styling cream, while finer hair types can achieve a similar effect with a thinner mousse texture; this will add volume and shape without adding extra weight to the hair. Gomez's new 'cowboy bob' is far from her first experimental hairstyle in recent memory. In fact, the singer has shown herself to be somewhat of a haircut chameleon in 2025. The Rare Beauty founder has sported an array of shorter cuts this year, from flipped 'bellbottom' styles and romantic Hollywood curls, to airy bobs that spotlight her natural texture and graphic pin-straight finishes. Our personal favourite? This effortless chic, fringed 'do. ELLE Collective is a new community of fashion, beauty and culture lovers.
