He has plied his trade in Italy for two years, joining the Bianconeri from Lille in 2023 for just less than £10million. His career transfer value is set to sky-rocket now though as Juventus look set to pocket £13million plus add ons from Roberto De Zerbi's Marseille. The deal will likely be a loan deal with an option to buy, which could become an obligation if certain conditions are met, according to Football Italia. The French side finished runner's up to Weah's former side PSG last season, and will be in the Champions League in the upcoming campaign. Weah won the League and Cup double during his short spell in Glasgow, introducing his mum, the First Lady of Liberia, to Celtic Park for a clash against Kilmarnock. He featured 17 time in green and white, netting four goals and setting up another. He played with Celtic during Neil Lennon's second spell at the club. Lennon cut the American international's deal short though, despite Weah becoming a fan favourite at Parkhead. The winger was called up to The USA under 20's squad for the U20 World Cup , which would've seen him miss the Scottish Cup final. Olympique Marseille close to sealing loan move for Timothy Weah

Olympique Marseille are on the brink of finalising a deal to bring Juventus winger Timothy Weah to the club on a loan deal, according to RMC Sport. Marseille have moved quickly in pursuit of the versatile US international, who previously played for Paris Saint-Germain and Lille, and is enthusiastic about a return to France, prioritising Marseille over other suitors, including Nottingham Forest. Negotiations between Marseille and Juventus are for an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy. The two clubs are ironing out the final details concerning the transfer fee, with Juventus valuing Weah, who is under contract until 2028, at €15 million to €20 million. Juventus initially preferred a direct sale, but have accepted the loan-plus-obligation formula, with the final fee likely to be in the region of €15 million plus add-ons. Personal terms have long been agreed with Weah, who has committed to a five-year contract, reportedly on a salary of around €2.5 million per season Weah is keen to reignite his career after two unspectacular seasons in Turin despite making over 70 appearances. The opportunity to follow in his father George Weah's footsteps and play for Marseille also adds sentimental value to the move. Capable of filling in as either a winger or wing-back, Weah's versatility makes him a decent addition for OM as they prepare for a return to the Champions League. Roberto De Zerbi's side have already signed Conrad Jaden Egan-Riley, Angel Gomes, Jonathan Rowe, Neal Maupay, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Facundo Medina this summer. They are also close to bringing back Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the Orange Velodrome after a brief spell in Saudi Arabia for the Gabonese international.

Weah targeted by multiple clubs in France and England

Juventus outcast Timothy Weah is wanted by Olympique Marseille, but reports in France also point to AS Monaco, Everton and Leeds United. The Bianconeri had hoped to sell him and Samuel Mbangula to Nottingham Forest, but both players turned down the move and negotiations were abandoned. Advertisement It is believed they had valued Weah at €15m, so anyone who is willing to meet that figure and can agree personal terms with the USMNT midfielder should get the all-clear. EPA-EFE/ALESSANDRO DI MARCO There had already been reports that Olympique Marseille were preparing a few different formulas to make the deal work. Now Footmercato in France suggest several more clubs are ready to step up in the chase for Weah this summer. They include Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, who just signed Paul Pogba as a free agent after he terminated his contract with Juventus by mutual consent. The others are in the Premier League, with Everton and newly-promoted Leeds United, but considering he turned down Nottingham Forest, it might be difficult to convince him. Tottenham Hotspur had also been linked, but seem to have taken a step back from pursuing this transfer.

Timothy Weah's agent exposes disgraceful Juventus transfer structure

Timothy Weah's agent Sam Mbangue blasts Juventus for treating players unfairly despite their contributions. reports an interview where Sambague is exposing Juventus' 'selfish' transfer department. He said: 'It's a disgrace. Weah is a fantastic player and a fantastic teammate. To see people acting like this for money and because they are selfish has disappointed me a lot.' Advertisement A report by La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed Juventus received offers from Nottingham Forest for Weah and Samuel Mbangula for a combined fee of €25 million. The American forward was not named in the Matchday squad for The Bianconeri's Club World Cup game against Manchester City to force him out of the club this summer. Weah and Mbangula posted cryptic messages on their respective social media handles when the developments were happening behind the scenes to show their displeasure about Juventus' handling of players. With Juventus set to raise funds this summer from transfers, they might feel the need to offload certain key players in a desperate move. However, the ill-treatment of players, who have contributed to the growth of the club in recent times, is completely unacceptable. Trambak Bhattacherjee | GIFN

Total Weah rejection irked Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are trying to save face after being rejected by Timothy Weah, implying they pulled out of the deal for the Juventus player. It had been reported in multiple sources over the last few days that Juventus and the Premier League side were on the verge of a double agreement for both Weah and Samuel Mbangula. Advertisement The cost of the pair was going to be circa €25m including add-ons, with the clubs ready to shake hands. However, it quickly became apparent that the American in particular was dead set against the move and refused to even discuss personal terms. This irritated Juve so much that they dropped both the USMNT star and Mbangula from the squad in last night's Club World Cup defeat to Manchester City. While I am here, nobody will push my players to go play right or left like a puppet.'
