Multiple posts were shared online on Monday reading: "Unconfirmed reports of the killing of Abdul-Malik al-Houthi."
No official statement was made by the Houthi group confirming or denying the claims that Abdul-Malik al-Houthi was killed in the latest tension between the US and the Yemenu group, nor did the US announce anything regarding the killing of the Houthi leader.

Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi was born on May 22, 1979. He is a Yemeni politician and religious leader who has leading the Houthi movement since 2006.
He assumed leadership of the movement in 2006 after the killing of his brother, Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
His grandfather, Amir al-Din al-Houthi, and his grandfather's brother, al-Hasan bin al-Hussein al-Houthi, are well-known religious men in the region. Tension between the US and Houthis:
Tension has escalated in the past week between the Ansar Allah group and the US. The Yemeni group announced targeting a United States naval vessel in the Red Sea, calling it "retaliation" for Washington's strikes on Yemen.
The US attacked the Yemeni rebels after the group announced it would resume targeting Israeli-linked ships in the Red Sea.
The Houthis announce to resume attacks in the Res Sea following the collapse of the Gaza ceasefire deal and Israel's resumption of attacks on the strip on March 19.
