Israel strikes Syrian forces in Sweida upon Netanyahu's order

ALBAWABA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz

Syrian news agency SANA reported that the Israeli air forces carried out raids on the city of Sweida after the army entered the city amid clashes between Druze forces and Bedouin tribes.
Israeli military spokesperson Adraee posted on X, confirming the attacks on Sweida and said: "Under directives from the political level, the Defense Army began attacking military vehicles belonging to the Syrian regime in the Sweida region of southern Syria a short while ago.

"This follows the monitoring, since yesterday, of convoys of armored personnel carriers and tanks moving toward the Suwayda region, where the Defense Army has been attacking several armored vehicles, including tanks, armored personnel carriers, and rocket launchers, as well as targeting roads to hinder their arrival in the area," the spokesperson further mentioned.
He added: "The Defense Army continues to monitor and follow developments, remaining on defensive alert and prepared to handle various scenarios."
