Appearing on the presenter's How To Be In Love podcast, the trained dancer claimed her ex offered limited support as she took part in the BBC show.
Tasha - who split from Andrew in January - first met him on Love Island in 2022.
The break-up came shortly after Tasha appeared on the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing alongside pro Aljaž Škorjanec.
An emotional Tasha explained: 'He's such a great person. I'm not sitting here being like, he's not. He's such a lovely person inside and out.
"He has great attributes... but what I've learned in a relationship is when one person starts checking out, laziness can kill a relationship.
'I'm not saying laziness in terms of in yourself, laziness in terms of when you stop showing up for that person - that can really kill a relationship.
'I felt like it got to a point where I had to beg for affection, just simple things, like flowers or cards.
'For me, small things mean the biggest things and it got a point where I felt like I was generally having to draw it out of him, but I think he was also going through a hard time of finding what he wanted to do in his career.
"It got to a point where I was also trying to help him out, but he wasn't willing to help himself - and that's so hard when you love someone.
The star - who was born deaf and wears a cochlear implant - continued: "But there's a point where you're trying to also do the best for yourself and you're trying to grow. And then Strictly happened and then I think that made us grow apart."
Strictly star Tasha Ghouri's new boyfriend revealed as YouTuber five months after Andrew split
She added: "On social media… it did come across like he was there supporting me, but emotionally at home he wasn't.
"I remember this one time, I was in a dance-off in the semi-finals and I called him, like, you know, 'I feel really nervous'. And he was just out there, gaming, didn't stop gaming, didn't put his console down or take his headphones off and say, 'Okay, talk to me'.
"And that's kind of where I started to really think, I deserve better than that. I think that's where I started to really think, why am I settling for something that I'm having to really beg for?"
She went on: "I thought, I'm just not happy anymore and it's really sad because I had to break his heart... and then when I came out doing the tour, I remember for the week, I turned my phone off.
"I was just so anxious, just being out and about socially, and I shut myself off from him. He didn't deserve that. I should have been there for him as well because when all this came out, he was like, what is going on?
"I was also trying to come to terms in myself of what was happening as well. And that's my biggest regret... how I treated him in that breakup. I should have been so much nicer than I was."
She added: "We're not on speaking terms and that's the saddest part. That's the most saddest part about all of this."
Speaking about her new boyfriend, she said: "We clicked straight away, he's very ambitious, he's driven… we've just been enjoying our company and just seeing what happens really."
The TV star is now dating YouTuber Cam Whitnall, who stars in CBBC show One Zoo Three with his brothers.
Andrew recently made his own fresh start after the break-up and revealed he's moved back to Dubai.
The estate agent, 30, has grown close to an Irish influencer called Simone Grace, who he sparked a connection with after relocating to the UAE where she is also based.
It's the first time the Love Island star has been linked to another woman since his split from Tasha.

Ncuti Gatwa says he left Doctor Who as ‘I am getting old and my body was tired'

The Rwandan-Scottish actor, 32, whose breakout role was Eric Effiong in Netflix hit Sex Education, played the Time Lord for two series after first appearing in a 60th anniversary special with the 10th and 14th incarnations of the Doctor, David Tennant. In May, during his final episode as the 15th Doctor, Gatwa appeared to be replaced by former Doctor Who companion Billie Piper when his character regenerated. Gatwa told the BBC's Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg programme: 'I'm getting old, and my body was tired… and I've now just started doing some ballet, so I'm making really great decisions. 'It's the most amazing job in the world, a job that any actor would dream of and – because it's so good – it's strenuous. 'It takes a lot out of you, physically, emotionally, mentally, and so it was time.' Asked if he would ever come back to the show, he said: 'Never say never.' Ncuti Gatwa and showrunner Russell T Davies attending the premiere of Doctor Who season two (Ian West/PA) Barbie star Gatwa has played the Doctor since Tennant's Time Lord bi-generated in 2023, after his version of the alien character was brought back to the series as the 14th Doctor. Gatwa was expected to be the UK's spokesperson at the Eurovision Song Contest in May but pulled out, with speculation the decision was connected to controversy surrounding Israel's participation in the competition. 'It all panned out very interestingly. I pulled out of it a long time before it was announced', he said. 'And it was announced when it was announced, I don't know why, but I was just very busy. 'Just had a lot of work schedules, a lot of press around The Roses, around Doctor (Who).' Ncuti Gatwa arrives for the European premiere of Barbie (Ian West/PA) Asked about the speculation surrounding his withdrawal, Gatwa, who did not watch this year's competition, said: 'I was just very busy.' The actor appeared on the Sunday morning news show to discuss the West End premiere of Born With Teeth, a play that re-imagines the relationship between rival playwrights Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare. Gatwa plays Marlowe with his Sex Education co-star Edward Bluemel as Shakespeare in the Royal Shakespeare Company production at London's Wyndham's Theatre from August. 'It's a really great story between these two huge literary icons, and it's very exciting to imagine what could have happened in a room together', he said.
