There are cash prizes to be won by the winning ducks in the race with first place winning £100, second place bagging £70 and third place getting £30.
Prizes for fourth to 12th place will be donated by businesses.
The Golden Lion in Higher Wheelton has also organised a pre-duck race party running from 2pm to 8pm on Saturday, July 12 with live band Rain City Roses performing from 5.30 pm.
The pre-duck party also promises "hook a duck", face painting, other activities and a bouncy castle.

The weekend is all in aid of Derian House, which helps provide respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 babies, children and young people across the North West.
Its services are free to families but cost £6 million to run every year with under 30 per cent of funding they need coming from the government.

Nwaneri wants Arsenal assurances before signing new contract

Ethan Nwaneri wants assurances over his minutes at Arsenal before committing to a new contract. The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with the Gunners in 2024/25, scoring nine times in 16 starts across all competitions. Advertisement Last season, he became the second-youngest player to reach 10 goal involvements across Europe's top-five leagues (18 years and 11 days), behind only Barcelona's Lamine Yamal. Arsenal are keen to tie Nwaneri down to a new long-term deal but the teenager is yet to commit to an extension. Several leading clubs, including Chelsea and Liverpool, are monitoring the player's situation with talkSPORT reporting that Nwaneri keen to learn his role in Mikel Arteta's plans before signing a new contract. Arsenal are pursuing deals for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke and Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze, two transfers that would increase competition for places in Nwaneri's preferred roles. Advertisement Nwaneri, who became the Premier League's youngest ever player at 15 years and 181 days old in 2022, has entered the final 12 months of his deal in North London. Arsenal are eager to tie up Nwaneri's deal as soon as possible, with the midfielder considered one of England's brightest young talents. He has been given extended leave ahead of pre-season after forming part of the victorious England squad at this summer's u-21 European Championship. In addition to incomings, Arsenal have been working behind the scenes to tie down key personnel to new deals. Gabriel Maghalaes signed a new contract with the club in June, while Myles Lewis-Skelly also committed his future last month. Ben Shelton's sister booed by Wimbedon crowd when job revealed

Ben Shelton's sister Emma (right) was jokingly booed by the Wimbledon crowd after Shelton revealed her job in an on court interview (John Walton/PA Wire) Ben Shelton launched a public plea for his sister to get some extra time off from her job at investment bank Morgan Stanley so she could remain at Wimbledon to cheer for him. It worked. After advancing to face Italy's Lorenzo Sonego on Monday in the fourth round, Shelton spoke in an on-court interview in front of a crowd that included his sister, Emma, and his girlfriend, United States women's national team star Trinity Rodman. Advertisement "I've been playing well this week. It's not just been me here. I have a great team. My parents are here. My girlfriend's here. 'Also, my sister's here. She's been here for every match that I've played this tournament so far. She's been the lucky charm," said the 10th-seeded Shelton, a 22-year-old American who has appeared in two Grand Slam semi-finals. "But she has work back in the US, starting on Monday. She works for Morgan Stanley." That comment drew some jovial boos from spectators as Emma embarrassingly covered her face with her hands. "If any of you all have some (connections) and get her a couple extra days off so she can (stay and) we can keep this rolling," Shelton continued after his 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-2 victory over Marton Fucsovics of Hungary on Saturday, "that'd be great." Advertisement Sure enough, hours later, Emma posted a short video on Instagram in which Ben is heard asking her, "You got the week off or what?" Ben Shelton is through to the fourth round at Wimbledon thanks to the support of sister Emma, his 'lucky charm' (John Walton/PA Wire) She jumps up and down with her arms raised and a wide smile, and Ben says, "Shoutout, Morgan Stanley." The caption reads: "thank you MS" with three blue heart emojis and "return flight: cancelled." Ben Shelton, who has won all nine sets he's played in the first week at the All England Club, takes on Italy's Lorenzo Sonego on Monday. The American previously beat Sonego in the Australian Open quarter-finals in January.
