Prince William opens up about youngest son Prince Louis' difficult decision

Prince William visited a youth centre in Edinburgh during a royal engagement, where he revealed his son Prince Louis's difficult decision
Prince William brought laughter during his recent royal visit. The Prince of Wales took a trip to Scotland to visit the Leith Community Centre, in Edinburgh, where he shared heartfelt details about his youngest son, Prince Louis, and spoke about a challenging decision his son will have to face someday.
While visiting the non-profit organisation Street Soccer Scotland on Wednesday, Prince William warmly engaged with locals - taking time to chat and connect with them. One amusing moment in particular was when he was shown a hilarious picture of one of the women at the centre dressed up as the Hanlon Stevenson mascot, Percy, for a fundraising event.

The image left William in fits of laughter, before he went on to play football with the locals and even scored a goal.
After the cheers, he joked: "That's it, I'm done now." He also watched flamenco dancing and unveiled a new Royal Foundation Community Impact project.
William met Erin, nine and Shaniah, ten, who held a Youth Forum at Edinburgh City Council Chambers to discuss their concerns about the block of flats where they lived.
The Prince praised the young girls for their public speaking, saying: "Wow, it's not easy standing up and speaking. It takes a lot of courage, well done."
Erin then gifted the prince of Wales an Aston Villa Football Club poster which sparked up the discussion of his youngest son Louis.

William asked Erin what team she supports, and she replied that she supports two teams, and William revealed that Prince Louis was torn between his favourite football teams at the moment.
He explained: "My youngest at the moment says he supports five different football teams."
At just seven years old, Louis has plenty of time to decide his favourite team, even if his current indecision contrasts with his fathers. Prince William is a well-known Aston Villa supporter and his eldest son Prince George is also a fan of the team often joining his dad at matches.

Prince William previously spoke to the BBC in 2015, about his love for Aston Villa. He said: "A long time ago at school I got into football big time. I was looking around for clubs. All my friends at school were either Man United fans or Chelsea fans and I didn't want to follow the run-of-the-mill teams. I wanted to have a team that was more mid-table that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments."
The royal visited the community centre as part of the Royal Foundation's Community Impact Programme, which aims to "provide lasting impact and legacy in the communities Their Royal Highnesses visits." During the visit he met with Street Soccer Scotland founder and CEO David Duke, who is also a strong supporter of William's Homewards work.
The partnership will support Street Soccer Scotland to assist individuals facing challenges such as mental health issues, addiction and homelessness.

Revealed: Jhon Duran's HUGE Al-Nassr earnings from just five months in Saudi Arabia as he 'agrees move' to Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce

Former Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran is reportedly set to leave Al-Nassr on loan. The 21-year-old joined the Saudi Pro League club late in January, with Villa cashing in £64.5million for a player who had netted 20 goals in the previous 18 months. Duran, who has since scored 12 goals in 18 games for Al-Nassr, has now agreed to join Fenerbahce on a season-long loan, according to Foot Mercato. The French publication claims that Fenerbahce have agreed to offer Duran an enormous salary in excess of what Al-Nassr have been paying him. If that is true then Duran will likely be among the highest-paid players in European football next season. As reported by Capology, Duran signed a five-and-a-half year contract worth slightly more than £335,000 per week when he signed for Al Nassr in January. Duran has just completed his 21st week as an Al-Nassr player, meaning he is so far estimated to have earned well in excess of £7m in Riyadh. That is around four and a half times what he would have banked had he remained at Villa on his previous weekly wage in the region of £75,000. Duran played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo as Al-Nassr ended the 2024-25 season third in the Saudi Pro League, 13 points behind champions Al-Ittihad. Ronaldo's first Al-Nassr contract was due to expire at the end of this month, but he recently penned a new deal tying him to the club for a further two years. That deal is said to be worth a staggering £488,000 per day. Al-Nassr — backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, which also owns Newcastle United — are one of the richest clubs in world football. Nevertheless, it has been suggested that Duran's move to Fenerbahce could be part of a cost-cutting exercise to help fund Ronaldo's remarkable new salary. Fenerbahce finished second in the Turkish Super Lig last season for the fourth year in a row. The Istanbul outfit have been managed by Jose Mourinho since last June when the former Chelsea, Man United and Real Madrid boss replaced Ismail Kartal. Duran will add firepower to an attack that scored 128 goals in 56 matches in Mourinho's first season.

Inside King Charles' 'hidden and secret' home royals use for romantic getaways

The Royal Family has one 'hidden and secret' residence that has a long history of love stories, experts have revealed in a new documentary, and it has often been used for romantic getaways by the Windsors Many of the Royal Family's homes are some of the most famous buildings in the UK - with millions of tourists flooding to visit them each and every year. Buckingham Palace is the very centrepiece of London itself, and Windsor Castle - rich with history - dates back nearly 1000 years. The Windsors also have some high-profile properties that they own privately, like the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk - where they spend Christmas every year - and the imposing Balmoral Estate in the Scottish Highlands, where they spend a few weeks in every summer enjoying quality time as a family, far away from the spotlight that is usually trained upon them. ‌ But there is a little-known other royal residence that is the subject of a new documentary for Channel 5 and has long been the place where some of the House of Windsor's love stories have played out: Birkhall. ‌ A relatively modest - by royal standards anyway - lodge house very near to Balmoral, Birkhall is one of King Charles's retreats - and it's one of his favourite places in the world to spend time, the experts revealed. In Birkhall: The King's Secret Sanctuary, experts explained that it isn't just Charles who has many special memories at the Scottish residence, but in fact, everyone from Prince William to the late Queen has had a significant moment in their love stories play out in this stunning property, and it's even been dubbed the "Honeymoon home" of the Royal Family. Historian Professor Chandrika Kaul revealed that "William apparently spoke to Kate's father and asked his permission to marry Kate on a weekend visit in Birkhall," adding, "And he asked him before he asked Charles!" William getting permission from Michael Middleton to marry his long time girlfriend is by no means the only romantic moment that has occurred at Birkhall. The lodge house was also the setting of Charles's proposal to Camilla who said afterward to the press "I'm just coming down to earth," as she beamed and showed off her engagement ring back in 2005. She is said to have replied, "Of course!" when Charles finally popped the question - and the experts all agreed that Birkhall holds a very special place in the King and Queen's hearts. ‌ "I think when they land at Birkhall," said former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, "It's a case of really 'phew, here we are. We're going to enjoy one another's company, and we're going to walk, and we're going to sit, and we're going to read, we're going to have a little drink, and we're going to just be together.' "I think it is one of their very favourite place to be," she explained. Another expert said that it was the closest thing to a "marital home" the King and Queen actually has. ‌ Charles and Camilla also spent their honeymoon there - which the experts revealed is something of a family tradition. The late Queen and Prince Philip also spent their honeymoon up at Birkhall, far away from the spotlight getting to enjoy their first weeks as newlyweds in the seclusion of the stunning Scottish countryside. Jennie Bond explained, "Quite a few newlyweds have chosen to spend their time at Birkhall," with expert Ken Wharfe adding the Duke and Duchess of Kent did the same, and Afua Hagan noting Sophie and Edward also selected it for their honeymoon. "It became known as the sort of honeymoon home," explained Ingrid Seward - editor in chief of Majesty magazine. ‌ The "hidden and secret" Birkhall was first purchased by Prince Albert when he took over the lease of Balmoral. He intended his eldest son to use the property, but Prince Edward didn't much enjoy spending time there and the lodge house became something of a "Victorian Airbnb" the documentary revealed. In the 1950s the Queen Mother took over the house, and added an extensive wing to it, elevating it and making it more suitable to host multiple guests. After her death in 2002, it passed to Charles who has further put his own stamp on it, whilst leaving some heartbreaking tributes to his beloved grandmother in place, with whom he was always very close. Chelsea and Man Utd 'get Emi Martinez transfer message' as sale stance emerges

Manchester United have been heavily linked with Emi Martinez this summer but Chelsea have also been sounded out about a transfer swoop for the Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez remains keen on an exit from Aston Villa this summer and both Chelsea and Manchester United are said to have been given 'encouragement' over a move from the Argentine's camp. Martinez, 32, has established himself as one of the Premier League's top goalkeepers since joining Villa from Arsenal. But there are doubts over his long-term future and it's understood that he is keen on a move ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. ‌ Manchester United have been heavily linked with Martinez amid the ongoing scrutiny over Andre Onana 's position at Old Trafford. ‌ It had been claimed via reports in Argentina, via The Metro, that Chelsea - and Maresca in particular - were keen on the idea of challenging their old rivals for Martinez's signature. Furthermore, The Mail claim that both the Blues and United have been given encouragement from Martinez's representatives over a potential move for his services this summer, with Villa ready to consider a sale if they receive serious offers for their current No.1. It's been outlined elsewhere, though, that Chelsea are not currently targeting Martinez as they are focused on strengthening in other positions. Chelsea have already attempted to sign Mike Maignan, the AC Milan keeper, this summer only for talks over a potential deal to collapse due to the Italian giants' demands. Reports have since indicated that Chelsea are happy with their current goalkeeping options, consisting of Robert Sanchez, Filip Jorgensen and Mike Penders, with Djordje Petrovic seeking a transfer to continue playing regular first-team football. ‌ A move for Martinez - or any other goalkeeper for that matter - would represent a major U-turn for the Blues, whose current No.1 in Sanchez was subjected to criticism during the 2024-25 campaign. Martinez is understood to have already received proposals from ambitious clubs in the Saudi Pro League, however, he is not sold on the idea of moving to the Middle East this stage of his career and would prefer to keep playing at an elite level in Europe. His interest in a transfer to Manchester United has been well documented in recent weeks, thought any deal would likely be difficult given the Red Devils missed out on qualifying for the Champions League and will have to cut their cloth accordingly in the transfer market with big-money deals for Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo likely to eat up a large portion of their summer transfer budget.
