Irish Love Island star Megan previously turned down show to finish college
The 24-year-old Dubliner was dumped from the villa after coupling up with Casa Amor bombshell Hugo, a move that shocked viewers and saw public opinion quickly turn against her.
But Megan revealed despite the public backlash, she really did go into the villa to find true love, despite initially applying to go on the show as a joke in the women's changing rooms at university.
"Yeah, I applied as a joke initially, in the girls changing rooms at uni and then they got in touch with me after I applied, because I was like, 'Oh, this is funny.'
"I didn't think they'd actually watch the video. And then they got back to me, and I was like, 'No, I want to finish my degree.' And then obviously, a year went by and I was very much single. I was like, 'okay, may as well.'"
She shared with the Not My Bagg podcast some villa secrets including a two drinks per night rule and Islanders having no idea what temperature it was.
She said: "We weren't allowed to know the actual degrees. But like, really, we knew nothing. What a strange bit of information to withhold.
"But I can tell you, I was, like, dripping in sweat. It was really unattractive. Like, you're trying to flirt with everyone, and we're all like, wet.
"We didn't wear makeup during the day. I think if anything, we put on a bit of bronzer.
"We drank them (0% WKD) like they had alcohol in them. It was just because they had caffeine in them as we were a bit bored."
She said she is looking forward to returning to Dublin soon as she hasn't seen her family yet since leaving the show.
"Everyone's been really nice. I'm going to meet up with all my friends. I haven't seen my mam yet, so I need to go back to Dublin and see the family.
"My mam was raging. She was like 'what did you do that for,'" she said, laughing, before adding: "But no, she loves the show, so she's chuffed to have me back now."
