Priyanka Chopra Jonas Breaks Down Her Life in Looks
Starting back in 2000, Chopra Jonas looked back on winning the Miss World title at just 18-years-old (wearing a custom white Hemant Trevedi dress, no less). 'My life suddenly changed when I won this pageant,' she says. Since then, the star has made traditional saris her signature, wearing a variety of hand-crafted styles that are both glamorous and modern. There was the silvery gray sari she wore in the 2008 film Dostana, designed by Manish Malhotra, and the black and gold style by Ritu Kumar, worn to the 2012 Marrakesh Film Festival. '[I loved ]the lace sleeves with the embroidery on the neck,' she says.
Chopra Jonas's trip down memory lane also included many red carpet firsts. Like the first time she attended the Emmy Awards in a custom red Jason Wu gown in 2016. 'I remember the next day being compared to the twirling emoji,' she says. The first time she attended the Golden Globes in 2017, she opted for a golden Ralph Lauren brocade gown. 'I love the awards shows, because you have a good time, she says. 'Sofia Vergara and I hung out, and we found Meryl Streep backstage. I'll always remember that.' One of her most special firsts, though, was attending her first Met Gala in 2017: It was the year she met her husband Nick Jonas. 'We walked the red carpet together with [Ralph Lauren] and we spent the whole night together,' she says. (The rest was history.)
Of course, her life in looks would not be complete without revisiting the (multiple) looks Chopra Jonas wore for her wedding festivities back in 2018. For the Christian ceremony, she wore a classic white lace Ralph Lauren design. 'This is only the fourth [wedding] dress that Ralph has made for anyone,' says Chopra Jonas. 'Ralph wanted a 100-foot train and I said 50. We settled on 75.' For the traditional Hindu ceremony, meanwhile, she chose a dramatic red lace lehenga by Sabyasachi. 'I was very specific about the red I wanted. I wanted it to be the color of Sindoor, the vermilion that Indian women wear when they get married,' she says.
A more recent fashion win, meanwhile, was the Valentino look she wore to the 2023 premiere of Citadel. She chose a green Valentino feathered coat and matching gown, which the star says perfectly encapsulates where her personal style is today. 'This dress was all things drama—and I've never said I'm subtle,' she quips. Above, watch the full video.

Wednesday's Creator Got Real About Jenna Ortega's Comments Regarding Having To Put Her Foot Down During Season 1
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Wednesday Season 2 will finally be premiering soon on the 2025 TV schedule, and the wait has been excruciating. It seems like forever since the series premiered on Netflix in 2022, but the second season will be here in a matter of days. Between seeing what Jenna Ortega's titular Addams Family character will be getting up to and the insane guest stars, there will be a lot to look forward to. A lot has also changed, not only in the show but behind the scenes, and Wednesday's creator is getting real about the star of the show putting her foot down in Season 1. Ortega has been open about how hard filming Wednesday's inaugural season was and revealed she had to put her foot down when it came to certain aspects. She worked long and hard hours on the show and even almost passed out while filming Season 1. While she received backlash after saying aspects of the show 'made no sense' and she was changing lines on set, she didn't let up. And it turned out to be a good thing, and creator Alfred Gough praised her for what she did and what it turned into while talking to The Hollywood Reporter: Jenna gave notes on the scripts. She's now a producer. She's very involved, and she has a 360-degree view of things that, frankly, you don't find with most actors. I think she'll have a long career. It likely wasn't easy for Ortega to really put her foot down about the environment on Wednesday and what she was experiencing. It also couldn't have been easy for Gough to hear about what was going on, and what the Scream actress thought of the series. But he seems to be liking the charge that she took. Now, as a producer, Ortega has more of a say and can better control things for the acclaimed Netflix hit. And I hope that Gough is right about Ortega having a long career. Jenna Ortega admitted to being an 'unhappy person' during Season 1, but her mentality has since changed since she's able to sit in on meetings, listen, and learn more. She also has a lot more say in what goes into the second season, like wanting to add more horror and gore to the show, which is what's happening. It should be interesting to see how different Season 2 is compared to Season 1, especially since it already sounds like there were some big changes. Ahead of Wednesday Season 2, the show has already had a third season renewal and is seemingly getting closer to a potential spinoff. It's not so surprising, considering the Addams Family has been a favorite for decades, and there are a lot of stories to tell. But a spinoff for Ortega's series has yet to be confirmed. Fans will soon see what Wednesday Season 2 is all about when the first part drops on August 6, followed by part 2 on September 3, with a Netflix subscription. There are also many upcoming titles on Netflix's schedule to look forward to. Solve the daily Crossword

Lena Dunham tried to make a dramatized version of 'Scandoval': 'I went so far as to abuse Andy Cohen's contact information'
The "Girls" creator envisioned Jennifer Lawrence as Ariana Madix. Lena Dunham became "obsessed" with Vanderpump Rules during the 2023 writers strike. It was the summer of "Scandoval," the highly publicized affair between Vanderpump stars Tom Sandoval and Rachel (aka Raquel) Leviss, which ended Sandoval's nine-year relationship with girlfriend Ariana Madix. On the latest episode of the Shut Up Evan podcast, Dunham told host Evan Ross Katz that she actually tried to coordinate a reenactment of the post-Scandoval Vanderpump reunion. She thought it would be fun to have dramatic actors perform as Sandoval, Madix, and Leviss. "We should basically create like a mini movie in which actors treat this as canon and get up and perform it with all the passion and virtuosity of Shakespeare," the Girls star said. "I went so far as to abuse Andy Cohen's contact information to pitch him the idea." The reunion did deliver such gems as "Go f--- yourself with a cheese grater" and "You're a dementor, I know you like Harry Potter." A dramatized version of these one-liners would certainly be entertaining. While Cohen understood her vision, the longtime Bravo producer didn't jump on the idea at the time, Dunham said. Although, he did bring together a star-studded cast to do a Scandoval reading on his Sirius XM show, Radio Andy. Cheyenne Jackson starred as Sandoval, Chloe Fineman played Leviss, and Amber Tamblyn channeled had a different vision for the cast. The Too Much creator said she pictured Andrew Scott as Sandoval and Jennifer Lawrence as Madix. "I want to take these words and direct them like it's really serious theater," Dunham said.
