Sunrise's Sam Mac always delivers when it comes to the weather.
But on Thursday, the beloved TV star made a gaffe during his cross from Caloundra, on the Sunshine Coast.
Bubbly and lighthearted Mac accidentally said 'dollars' as he shared for the forecast for the nation's capitals, with him sharing seeing the funny side of moment.
Narrating the Sunrise clip, Mac said: 'Alright, I've been in this job for around nine years.
'The job is pretty straight forward. Essentially, you throw to the weather and read it off an iPad.
'Have a listen at what happened today.'
Mac played the clip, as he gave the weather update to viewers.
'In Canberra, morning frost, partly cloudy, a top of $11,' Mac said.
'11 degrees, wow, I've lost the plot... That's going to go down in history, it's been a long week.'
Ever the perfectionist, Mac was his own harshest critic.
'Dollars! Dollars! $11 dollars' Mac said, with his eyes widening.
'Dollars!' he finished.

Viewers are happy to see Sam back on the show, after he took some leave to spend time with his daughters earlier this month, Margot and Mabel.
Mac shared adorable clips of himself spending time with the girls.
'Today was my last day of dad leave,' he wrote, as his holidays ended.
'I'll share my thoughts on the experience in the coming days, but in the meantime, enjoy some incredible moments.'
Following his holidays, Mac came back with a beard, which he later shaved on the show.

Nine incredible pics that show how much Perth has changed

Trends have a way of going full circle. What's old becomes new again, what is nostalgia for some, others see for the first time with wide eyed enthusiasm for the past. Now, the State Library of Western Australia is demonstrating their strong throwback game, posting photographs from their archives of Perth suburbs and iconic locations, much to the amusement of social media users. For some viewers, it will be a trip down memory lane and a chance to reminisce, for others, a glimpse into Perth's past. Here are a selection of nine photos from the libraries archive that show how far we've come as a city. Sheraton Hotel lounge bar, 1982 Credit: SLWA;Fritz Cos 'The State Library's collection is extraordinarily vast with over 700,000 photographs and we're always collecting and digitising new material, so there are certainly no concerns of running out of things to share,' Nico McLaughlan State Library of Western Australia's community awareness coordinator told PerthNow. 'We have librarians who are always interacting with fascinating collection material, conservators working on preserving some of our most fragile items, creative program officers who curate our exhibitions and many, many more,' Ms McLaughlan said. 'We have been building the account for roughly two years, and we hope to continue doing so for the foreseeable future.' 'We love reading the comments when people share their memories associated with certain places or events. 'It's also interesting for us to see which posts resonate with our audience and when they're surprised by unexpected things we have in our collection,' Ms McLaughlan said. Perth pop singer to bring iconic movie to life on stage

Samantha Jade is set to play her 'dream role' after she landed the lead in Pretty Woman: The Musical, based on the iconic movie and made famous by Julia Roberts. The 38-year-old singer and actress will star as Vivian (Roberts' character) in the upcoming Broadway and West End musical, which makes its debut in Brisbane and Sydney later this year. The show will play at Queensland Performing Arts Centre from October 5 and at the Theatre Royal, Sydney from November. 'This is a dream role for me. Such a beloved film that is a favourite of so many worldwide, and I'm delighted to be able to originate the role for Australian audiences,' the Perth-born star said. 'I never thought I would do a musical because I dance and sing, and act, but all separately, not at the same time and this is a big challenge. 'I love this movie so much, and the music in this is next level.' Jade told Sunrise she was in LA checking out of a one-night stay at the Beverly Wilshire, the famous hotel from the film, when she found out she got the role. If you'd like to view this content, please adjust your . To find out more about how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Guide. The 1990 film sees rich businessman Edward (played by Richard Gere) hire Vivan, a prostitute, to join him at several social events; however, things soon get tricky when he begins to fall in love with someone from a very different world. Now, fans of the characters will get to know them in a whole new way with a dazzling theatrical take on a love story for the ages. Jade said the film was her 'comfort movie' that she used to watch with her mum, who sadly died in 2014 after a battle with cancer. 'It was one of our four favourites and last year was the 10th anniversary of her passing, so I was watching it a lot, weirdly, and then I got a call to audition and I was like 'Oh my god' this just seems perfect,' she said. As for who is playing her lover, all Jade could share was that the actor was 'someone Australian and someone great.' 'We couldn't get Richard, but we've got the next best thing.' Suzanne Jones of Jones Theatrical Group said the group knew if they didn't offer Jade the role, they would immediately regret it. 'We knew from the first time Samantha auditioned that not offering her the role of Vivian would be a big mistake. Big. Huge! Her voice perfectly suits Bryan Adams' iconic score, and I know Australian audiences will fall in love with her when she makes her debut at QPAC in October,' she said. Samantha Jade never thought she would take on a musical. Credit: Supplied No stranger to a live audience, Jade won Channel 7's X Factor in 2012 and has since amassed a collective 91 million streams and 2.3 million sales worldwide, released the song Shake That with Pitbull and released her album NINE in 2015, which hit number two on the ARIA charts. Our homegrown talent has been a regular fixture on Australian TV, starring as Kylie Minogue in the miniseries INXS: Never Tear Us Apart, as well as an ongoing guest-starring role in Home and Away. Her screen credits don't end there; in 2023, she joined the cast of the second season of Celebrity Apprentice, and last year was the runner-up of Channel 7's Dancing With The Stars. Jade has continued with her music career of late, releasing her EP Love. Sick. Vol 2 in August. Pretty Woman: The Musical features a rock score from GRAMMY winners Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance (Summer of '69, Heaven), direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray) and a book by the original movie's director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.F. Lawton. The musical made its Broadway debut at the Nederlander Theatre in 2018 and has played in Spain, Italy, Poland and Germany as well as an extended West End season. Further casting announcements are set to be made in the coming weeks.

'He is the show': backlash after Aussie Survivor host's torch extinguished

Fans have reacted to the "blindside" sacking of the much-loved Australian Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia. Thousands have signed a petition calling to keep the longtime host and left comments regarding the "boneheaded decision" as former players shared shock. Network 10 confirmed La Paglia's exit on social media, stating the upcoming season of Survivor: Australia v The World would be his last on June 30. "JLP has brought a unique blend of authority, intelligence and empathy to his role as host of Australian Survivor over the last 10 years," the post read. "Acting as a referee and managing the intense pressure of the game while also acknowledging the human drama unfolding, JLP has been a compelling and memorable figure in the world of Survivor." The TV network said they "wish him continued success in his acting and presenting career". La Paglia said he had seen epic blindsides across his time hosting, but his firing "might just be the craziest of them all". In an Instagram post, he said he received a call from Network 10 thanking him for his hard work and dedication, but said he was told the next season is "going in a different direction". "Ratings had dipped a bit recently and they wanted to do something drastic to shake things up," he said. "I have loved and will dearly miss the immensely talented crew, all the crafty players and our loyal sassy audience." "It has been one of the greatest adventures of my career to helm Australian Survivor, so it is without a doubt the hardest challenge of all to snuff my own torch, but here goes; ' tribe has spoken'." A petition launched on when rumours of his sacking emerged has collected more than 2700 signatures and a flood of messages supporting him. Petition creator Chloe D said the then rumoured decision would "lead to a loss of viewer loyalty and a dip in ratings". The move was also met with shock and sadness by former winners, players and TV personalities. "Talk about brutal!" said the winner 10's first season, Kristie Bennet. "We have all been completely robbed. You made this show with the players from the ground up." 2023 winner Feras Basal asked Network 10: "Can I play an immunity idol for him?". Former My Kitchen Rules judge and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here contestant chef Colin Fassnidge said LaPaglia "is the show". A theme across many comments from former players was how well LaPaglia treated the players. Player Sam Webb said LaPaglia bought more than his presence, "it was respect and an understanding of what this game does to people". "You elevated the entire experience for players and viewers and I can confidently say that on behalf of everyone who's played," Webb said. Lapaglia said in his post, "I'm a huge fan of this incredible game, always have been, always will be".
