3,800 packs of meat distributed during Hang Tuah Jaya parliamentary qurban ceremony
Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Adam Adli Abd Halim said 15 cows were sacrificed and the meat was distributed to recipients including the underprivileged group (asnaf), single mothers, senior citizens, B40 families, and local residents.
'The qurban ritual is not only about fulfilling religious obligations but also symbolises compassion and solidarity within the community.
'These are the values we aim to cultivate in Hang Tuah Jaya, ensuring that no one is left out from experiencing the joy and blessings of Aidiladha,' he said in a statement today.
Adam Adli, who is also the Member of Parliament for Hang Tuah Jaya, said the initiative also reflected the constituency's efforts to strengthen the spirit of unity and communal care in line with the Malaysia MADANI principles, which emphasise empathy, inclusivity and social well-being.
'We also extend our thanks to all parties involved, especially the staff and volunteers who arrived as early as 8.30 am to ensure the smooth execution of the sacrificial ritual, meat processing, and distribution,' he added.
The ceremony, organised by the Hang Tuah Jaya Parliamentary Service Centre, was held at Dataran Mat Riau, Bukit Baru, involving around 120 members and volunteers from Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK).

He noted that CBP embodies the economic resilience of the people, grounded in syariah principles and driven by values of social justice. 'I hope CBP's accomplishments will continue to be carried forward by the cooperative movement in Malaysia, ultimately contributing to the nation's economic well-being,' he added. The newly launched Wisma CBP, a 13-storey building in Kampung Baru, marks the institution's 75th anniversary and symbolises its leadership in modern, inclusive cooperative banking. Kamil Munim dismisses Muhyiddin's claim on judiciary interference
KUALA LUMPUR: The recent claim by Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is undermining judicial independence has been dismissed as baseless by Angkatan Muda Keadilan (PKR Youth) chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim. Muhammad Kamil, who also serves as Political Secretary to the Finance Minister, stated that allegations of compromised judicial independence must be substantiated with concrete evidence rather than unfounded accusations. He emphasized that the ability of high-ranking officials, including the Prime Minister, to face legal proceedings demonstrates the judiciary's autonomy. 'The fact that legal actions can proceed against anyone, regardless of position, proves the rule of law is upheld. An independent judiciary ensures due process without executive interference,' he said in a statement. Responding to Anwar's application to refer constitutional questions to the Federal Court regarding a civil suit, Muhammad Kamil stressed that seeking legal clarification is a fundamental right. He criticized Muhyiddin's remarks as lacking depth and misrepresenting Malaysia's legal framework. 'A seasoned politician should understand better. There is zero evidence of executive meddling in judicial affairs. Such claims are politically motivated attempts to erode public trust,' he added.
