Dubai partially closes Emirates Road towards Sharjah and E311 for road work

Motorists in the UAE are advised to plan their journeys in advance as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced scheduled road works on two major routes this Sunday, June 15.
These maintenance work will lead to temporary lane closures according to authorities, which could cause delays for commuters traveling towards Sharjah and on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
On Emirates Road towards Sharjah, three out of five lanes will be partially closed near the Maleha Street intersection. This closure will take place until 6pm, allowing road maintenance crews to carry out essential work. The RTA urged motorists to exercise caution, plan commute accordingly and consider alternate routes during this time.
In addition, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road will experience a partial closure at Exit 64, which leads to the Industrial Areas and Al Khan. This closure began earlier, at 12.30am, and is expected to continue until 10.30am. The works are part of scheduled infrastructure improvements in the area.
Although the second closure is nearing its end, traffic congestion may still be present in the vicinity. Motorists are encouraged to remain patient and check real-time traffic updates through RTA channels and navigation apps.
The RTA extends its thanks to the public for their understanding and cooperation during these essential upgrades, which are aimed at enhancing road safety and overall travel experience in the emirate.
