Delight for Travis Kelce as his Taylor Swift-named racehorse seals another huge win

Daily Mail24-06-2025
NFL star Travis Kelce won big for the first time as owner of racehorse Swift Delivery at the weekend.
The Kansas City Chiefs star bought a stake in the four-year-old last August, in partnership with owners Gary Barber, Team Valor International, Bruce Zoldan, and Steven Rocco.
And Swift Delivery, trained by Hall of Famer Mark Casse, clinched the third victory of its career - the first since Kelce came onboard - at Woodbine on Sunday.
The gelding swept to a two-length score in a second-level allowance contest at the Toronto track.
Kelce joined the ownership last summer just ahead of Swift Delivery's debut in the Toronto Cup, where he finished second.
After the news broke, many fans quickly joined the dots between the horse and the tight end's girlfriend Taylor Swift.
Swift Delivery wins for Team Valor and partners at Woodbine overnight. That makes it 9 wins from the last 17 starters for the stable. 🎉🔥

Many speculated over whether the horse was actually named after the popstar, and Kelce addressed the rumors during an episode of his New Heights podcast in September.
'I bought a horse, man! How about that? Old "Swift Delivery",' he said to brother Jason, before being asked if the name prompted the interest.
'You know when the stars align?,' Travis continued. 'It just feels good to jump on board.'
The NFL superstar was then asked how the purchase unfolded, with Kelce never having previously been involved in the world of horse-racing.
'You have really good friends that are good people, that are into horse racing,' he explained. 'Bruce and Alex Zoldan. I've known Alex for around 10 years plus now, since I've been in the league, fellow Ohio-an. They're an awesome family.
'I've had so much fun going to events with them, and sure enough they were at the Super Bowl, they invited me to the [Kentucky] Derby this year, and I was just like, "man it'd be fun to get involved and see one of your horses in a race, that seems like it'd be a fun thing to be a part of." They had a horse that won [the Derby] in the early 2000s, called Magic Kingdom.
'They asked me if I wanted to jump in on a three-year-old they had, and the name made sense to team up with this one, it being "Swift Delivery".
'What's cool is, it's a different style of horse, some make a fast start and try and lead the pack, and then the others are the finishers, the ones that come around the last turn or the last two turns...'I just got on board because it was fun and I could team up with some good friends of mine. I like the ran Swift Delivery ran, it's more of a finishing horse, hits its top speed [at the end] and saves its juice.'

Inside Brittany Mahomes' astronomically priced jewelry collection that features dazzling tie to Patrick

Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is no stranger to wearing extravagant game day outfits - and she has a jewelry collection that's worth nearly $200,000 to match. The 29-year-old is perhaps one of the most well-known WAGs in the NFL, even getting close to Taylor Swift over the past few years as her husband is teammates with the A-lister's boyfriend, Travis Kelce. In the past, she has made headlines for the elaborate, Chiefs-themed outfits she wears to games as she cheers on her high school sweetheart from the sidelines. In 2024, she and Swift even rocked matching custom Chiefs puffer coats designed by San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk's wife, Kristin Juszczyk, who now has her own collection in partnership with the NFL. But while she wears glamorous outfits, she also seems to have a penchant for fine jewelry, especially favoring Van Cleef and & Arpels, a brand she can be seen wearing in several photos on Instagram. While celebrating the Fourth of July this weekend with her husband and their friends, Brittany accessorized her bright blue cut-out bathing suit with a $65,000, 10-motif, white gold and diamond necklace from Van Cleef. The necklace featured the brand's signature Alhambra pendants. For the holiday, which they celebrated on a boat, she paired the pricey jewels with a casual white button-down with red and blue stars on it, along with a trucker hat that read '1995.' Of course, as a fan of the brand, the 10-motif designer necklace isn't the only thing she has from the high jewelry designer. She also owns the one-motif version of the white gold and diamond necklace, which retails for $8,950. The mom-of-three paired the necklace with a chic stack with a strapless red leather bustier when the Chiefs won the 2024 Super Bowl. Brittany has often been seen wearing the five-motif vintage Alhambra bracelet in 18k yellow gold around her wrist, which retails for $6,850. She rocked the bracelet on gameday in September when the Chiefs faced the Cincinnati Bengals, and paired with a casual, oversized Chiefs tee when they played the Detroit Lions in August last year. It's also a piece that she also seems to wear in everyday life, whether that be enjoying a cocktail in Las Vegas or on vacation with Patrick and their kids. Aside from Van Cleef & Arpels, Brittany has a lot of other jewelry pieces by various designers in her collection. She has appeared to wear a few bracelets from Cartier in the past, including the $8,550 white gold Juste un Clou, and the $30,400 white gold paved small Love bracelet. Brittany wore her Cartier stack to the 2023 ESPY awards, which looked elegant with a black Versace cutout dress and elaborate, curled updo. The Sports Illustrated model will also rock lab diamonds on occasion, as she did while watching her husband in this year's Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles. She sported a $73,000 necklace diamond necklace from Vrai, which she wore with a white corset with jacket and jeans. Brittany also wore a large, diamond-encrusted '15' necklace created by Simon G Fine Jewelry while watching the Chiefs defeat the 49ers at last year's Super Bowl - her husband's jersey number. But not all of her jewelry costs a pretty penny - the mom-of-three also owns one bubble-letter style pendant from affordable brand BaubleBar, something she sported in a photo op with Taylor Swift during an early October game. Her recent Fourth of July celebration comes just weeks after she penned an emotional tribute to Patrick on Father's Day in June. She has appeared to wear a few bracelets from Cartier in the past, including the $8,550 white gold Juste un Clou, and $30,400 white gold paved small Love bracelet Brittany posted a number of photos of their family to her Instagram account to honor him. 'Happy Father's Day to our rock! The most incredible, loyal most fun dad everrrrrr! The way you love us is unmatched!' Brittany captioned the post. 'You never let a day go by without letting these kids know how special they are! We love you.' Patrick replied to Brittany's post, saying 'Love yall!' while adding a red heart emoji. The photos showed Patrick and Brittany Mahomes alongside their three children: Sterling, four, Patrick 'Bronze' Mahomes III, two, and newborn daughter Golden.

US rock star drops out of huge band's gigs for the rest of the year to have surgery to stop ‘permanent damage'

A US rock star has dropped out of his band's gigs for the rest of the year to undergo career-saving surgery. Fall Out Boy guitarist and founding member Joe Trohman, 40, revealed he is stepping back from touring in a bid to prevent permanent damage to his hand. 3 3 He wrote on Instagram, "After years of managing ongoing issues with my right hand, it's become clear that I need surgery to avoid permanent damage. 'Unfortunately, this means I'll have to take the rest of the year off from playing with the band. 'The silver lining is that I'm on track for a full recovery. The band will still be playing all scheduled shows. 'I'm looking forward to recovering so I can get back out there with the guys. Thanks so much for the love and support.' The band is playing in Calgary, Canada tonight and have festival dates in Japan and Brazil over the summer. Fans sent their well wishes, with one writing, "It's okay Joe, we love you and I hope everything goes well, take all the time you need." Another said, "I just fell to my knees in Walmart. Wishing you luck Joe." In 2023, Trohman took several months off the road to focus on his mental health. His guitar tech Ben Young stepped in on that occasion. Speaking at the time, Trohman said, "Neil Young once howled that it's better to burn out than to fade away. But I can tell you unequivocally that burning out is dreadful. Without divulging all the details, I must disclose that my mental health has rapidly deteriorated over the past several years. 'So, to avoid fading away and never returning, I will be taking a break from work which regrettably includes stepping away from Fall Out Boy for a spell. It pains me to make this decision, especially when we are releasing a new album that fills me with great pride (the sin I'm most proud of).' The guitarist spoke of his "severe" mental health issues in his 2022 memoir, None of This Rocks. Trohman has been in and out of therapy since the age of 10 and said he often sees things "through dark-tinted lenses a little bit". Fall Out Boy achieved underground success in 2003 after they released their debut album, Take This to Your Grave. They skyrocketed to worldwide fame in 2005 after the release of the album From Under the Cork Tree, with its lead single Sugar We're Goin' Down reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. In 2006, the band was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. A year later, their third album, Infinity On High, topped the Billboard 200. The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2009, citing exhaustion as the key reason. "We were being pushed too hard, we were working too often, and I think we had no grounding. There was no, 'This is where I live, this is my family, this is my house, here's where I get mental health assistance, I take my medication this many times a day,'" Trohman shared in an interview with Kerrang. "None of that stuff was happening, it was all just go go go, different places, different things, if you have to succeed you've gotta do this. "And it got to a point where — I can only speak for myself here — but I thought, 'I think we've succeeded… can we stop for a minute? I need to go to my house.'" They reunited in 2013 with the release of the album Save Rock and Roll. 3

Pamela Anderson clarifies relationship with Liam Neeson after he said he was 'in love' with her

Pamela Anderson has talked again about her Naked Gun costar Liam Neeson. Fans have not quite been sure what the status of their relationship is after he said he 'loved' her earlier this year. But now the 58-year-old Canadian pinup has set the record straight as the Baywatch queen posed for Entertainment Weekly for their digital cover published on Tuesday. Unfortunately there is no romance yet. 'I think I have a friend forever in Liam,' said Anderson. 'And we definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he's a good guy.' Neeson, 73, stars as Los Angeles Police Squad detective Frank Drebin Jr., son of Nielson's Frank Drebin. Anderson plays a femme fatale character named Beth who asks Frank to solve her brother's murder. Pamela also called Neeson as 'a true artist.' 'He comes from theater and Schindler's List and has done over a hundred films,' she raved about the hunk. 'And I did things inside out and backwards, came from television, and then my personal life kind of overshadowed my professional life,' said the ex-wife of Tommy Lee and Kid Rock. 'It is funny: We all come to this place in different ways, but to be able to share this experience with him is very meaningful and such an honor,' she noted. She also said that he is 'the perfect gentleman' and 'brings out the best in you ... with respect, kindness and depth of experience.' In October Neeson said he was 'madly in love' with the Playboy cover girl. 'She's just terrific to work with,' Neeson told People. 'I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with. She's going to be terrific in the film.' The first Naked Gun films starred Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley: they were in 1988's The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, 1991's The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear, and 1994's Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult. The Naked Gun reboot arrives in theaters August 1, is directed by Akiva Schaffer, and also stars Paul Walter Hauser and Danny Huston. The first trailer for Naked Gun debuted in June 2025, and shows Neeson's character after he succeeded his father at the Los Angeles Police Squad. This comes after Anderson said she doesn't enjoy her 'sex symbol' status. The actress cemented her status as a sex symbol by playing 'C.J.' Parker in Baywatch in the 90s, but Pamela didn't actually enjoy the attention that came her way at the time. During an appearance on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast, Pamela explained: 'I don't like being a sex symbol. I mean, I think it's not very sexy. I think we all aspire to be sexy in our relationships, but sexy for the world is, I don't know. 'It brought a lot of attention I didn't like, but I hate to say that because I'm not complaining, but I do feel that is a slippery slope where you are presenting yourself to the world like this and you get this attention back that.' Pamela has adopted a makeup-free look on red carpets in recent years, and the actress is now embracing being 'more natural'. She said: 'It can be even scary at times, me not wearing makeup and me being at this age, coming into this part of my career, I felt it was important for me in my personal life, to be more natural. 'I want to challenge myself and become and to be present myself in different ways because women are many things. We're not just the wild animal between the sheets.' Pamela previously admitted to being shocked by the public's reaction to her makeup-free appearance. The Hollywood star actually assumed that no-one would even notice if she decided to stop wearing makeup. She told The Sunday Times newspaper: 'There's these beautiful clothes. I'm wearing Vivienne Westwood. I have this great hat and beautiful coat. Nobody's going to notice if I don't wear any make-up. 'I didn't realize it was going to start all of this, all these people really relating to me.' Pamela feels the public's perception of her has changed over recent times. The actress believes the shift is also beneficial for her two sons. Pamela - who has Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27, with her ex-husband Tommy Lee - shared: '[My sons] probably don't feel they have to defend their mom any more.'
