Coronation Street star unexpectedly axed in shock exit as character 'killed off' without warning
A Coronation Street star has announced their departure from the ITV soap and it's already been broadcast. In a shocking turn of events, their character may have met their demise, after the actor's goodbye message left viewers convinced they were "brown bread".
Logan Radcliffe returned to the ITV drama this week, receiving a visit from Carla Connor whilst behind bars. She was frantic for answers about what had happened to Becky Swain, the late wife of her girlfriend Lisa Swain.
Lisa had been finding it difficult to progress and move forward, uncertain whether Becky was in danger prior to her death and why she died, whether by accident or otherwise, with Carla wanting to help, the Mirror reports.
She went to see Logan who demanded £10,000 for any information he might have about Becky. He then accidentally revealed a name, Tia Wardley, though no context was provided.
Regardless of who she is, it was enough to get Logan into hot water with a fellow inmate over a "mutual friend" he'd angered. He was told he had revealed too much, and with that his cell door was shut - making it obvious to viewers he was in serious danger.
As the episode came to an end, actor Harry Lowbridge, who portrays Logan, went on Instagram to announce his departure from the programme - confirming his final scenes had now been shown.
With that, fans are certain Logan is now dead. They suspect that whoever Tia was, genuine or not, he'd disclosed too much and an unknown individual had the cellmate punish him for running his mouth.
Fans reckon it will be disclosed that Logan has been killed, murdered in his cell.
The actor confirmed no additional scenes were planned when he shared on Instagram: "Farewell Logan. It's been a blast x."
Following the post and the broadcast scenes, viewers took to social media to share their theories that the soap had just killed off a character without any prior warning. One viewer said: "So Logan is brown bread then?"
Another viewer agreed, writing: "RIP Logan," as a third viewer stated; "So Logan gets killed off in prison then!" A further comment read; "Harry posting a goodbye? Has Logan been killed in prison?"
The reactions continued pouring in with one fan penning: "Okay so when Logan is killed in prison then what?!"
Whether Logan has died or remains alive is still to be disclosed despite the speculation, with viewers questioning if he might make a comeback at some stage and whether we'll discover who was behind the assault.
Then there's the matter that Tia might or might not be connected to the plot. Why are individuals so frantic to keep the truth hidden as well? Everything will have to be revealed at some point.

Davina McCall ‘not afraid of dying' after brain tumour removed
In April, the 57-year-old confirmed her 'final MRI' had showed a colloid cyst, which she had removed in November 2024, is 'not coming back', after it was found when she was offered a health check-up as part of her menopause advocacy work. McCall told Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast: 'I am not afraid of dying anymore and it was the biggest journey of my life. From August 23 to November 24 was an amazing time where something changed. 'I have lived the life I wanted, and I'm not lying there going, 'I wish I'd done that thing, wish I'd done that job, I wish I'd not stayed in this relationship', all of those I haven't lived the life I want (things), and Begin Again is about just begin again and live the life you want.' McCall, who is a judge on ITV singing show The Masked Singer, said her only concern about death is how her family would cope. Speaking about the time her tumour was found, she added: 'I thought I need to get my brain in the right place and that was to a place where I could be calm, and what did I need to do to do that? Were my kids going to be okay if I didn't make it? That's all I really cared about. 'I knew Michael (Douglas, her partner), Michael's a whole person, Michael's Michael, but I was really worried about my kids. 'I went forensic on thinking about my children and where they were at in their life, what stage they were at. You're only as happy as your unhappiest child, right? 'I came to a realisation after about six months of cross-examining them about their life and telling them the whole time how much I've loved my life. My eldest daughter kept caught on. She was like, 'you are not dying', I was like, 'no, no, no', I realised that they would be great. 'They'd miss me and I want to be with them but they would be okay. I felt like I could go to sleep on the operating table and know that they were all here to help me, but I can let go of the outcome and it was the best gift. I am not afraid of dying.' After her surgery, McCall spent time in intensive care before recovering at home with the help of Douglas. She spoke about the removal of the tumour while co-presenting this year's Red Nose Day for Comic Relief and said it was 'the hardest thing I've ever been through'. According to the NHS, non-cancerous brain tumours are more common in people over the age of 50, and symptoms include headaches, vision problems and drowsiness, and some can be 'difficult to remove without damaging surrounding tissue'. McCall, the host of reality dating show My Mum, Your Dad, has long advocated for women's health issues, and has presented a documentary called Sex, Myths And The Menopause and another on contraception called Davina McCall's Pill Revolution. She became an MBE in the King's birthday honours for services to broadcasting in 2023 and was given a special recognition gong at the National Television Awards in 2024 for her broadcasting career. The actress and producer Suranne Jones, 46, grew up in Chadderton, Greater Manchester. Her first major role was playing Karen McDonald in Coronation Street. She won a Bafta for Doctor Foster and was nominated for her role in Gentleman Jack. She has also starred in Vigil and appears in Netflix's Hostage. I have learnt how to navigate things when I start to become overwhelmed. Not everyone can afford to go to a therapist and there's a huge waiting list on the NHS. But therapy can be talking openly with your partner or friends. I had to make friends with fame. A lot of people may well see Hostage and recognise me more often on the street. That will be a little tough, but I've been there before. I've seen waves of it. I was there with the Circle of Shame [a feature in Heat magazine that criticised female celebrities' appearances], worried about how I looked.
