You could buy the $135 YSL Black Opium perfume *or* you could grab this $30 alternative that's nearly identical. Up to you.
1. A bottle of Dossier Ambery Vanilla perfume inspired by the ever so popular but super expensive Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume. With enchanting notes of mandarin, pear, pink pepper, jasmine, orange blossom, cedarwood, patchouli, vanilla, and more, this heavenly scent will have everyone asking what fragrance you're wearing.
Dossier is a small biz that specializes in alternative, affordable perfumes — check out the rest of their options on their Amazon storefront!
Promising reviews: "This smells SO good, it's warm and smells sexy. I can pick up lots of the mentioned scents, and they work so well together. The perfume is noticeable but not overpowering. I put some on before my husband got home, but I didn't say anything. He came and sat next to me, and immediately noticed and loved it. He asked what perfume it was, and he came up to me multiple times and gave my neck a smell when he walked by! Definitely a win. I love it, and he does too!!!" — Amazon Customer
"Intoxicating! If you want to smell like a hot girl, this is the perfume for you. Ambery Vanilla is perfect for anyone looking for a grown-up, nuanced vanilla. It's balanced by notes of coffee and citrus, making it bright yet warm. It's long-lasting but not overpowering, and it smells identical to YSL's Black Opium. This is the kind of perfume that you can wear anywhere, anytime — it's fresh and modern, yet timeless." — Gertie

Promising review: "I'd been looking for a Skims alternative — I have the Skims dress, love it, and wanted it in another color. Ordered a size large which is my normal size and it fit perfectly! I'm so very happy with my purchase! Literally half the price of Skims and it's identical! If you've tried the Skims dress, go ahead and order, you won't be disappointed!" — Savvychique

"I looked at dozens of designs for a bathtub tray/caddy and tried this one. We couldn't be more pleased with the product and its performance. It is absolutely secure enough to trust your electronics not to take a dive into the water, has a space dedicated to that special glass of wine, and is so adjustable that I can't think of a tub it wouldn't work with. The bamboo is attractive and adds to the spa feeling of the tray. We enthusiastically recommend this product." — P. Thompson

Promising review: " Okay, I'm not gonna lie, I was worried that this stuff would either not work at all or make all my lashes fall out. Thankfully, it did neither and the results are UNREAL. I HIGHLY suggest watching some YouTube videos of other people using their perm kits before attempting to use yours. I have big fingers and small eyes so it was difficult for me to get the lift pads in the right positions, but once that was over the rest was a breeze. Unlike some of the other kits I've seen on here, this one has basically everything you need. The only other things I needed were a mirror, some tissue, and a little bit of plastic wrap to cover my lashes while waiting for the lotions to work their magic. I'm totally impressed and will definitely be buying this again! — Ryan
Get it from Amazon for $24.99.

www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Watch TikTok makeup expert Mikayla Nogueira review and apply these lashes here.
Promising review: "I am 25 years old, and I don't use false lashes mostly because I can't figure out how to wear them without making them look awful. My hands shake a lot and my eyes water a lot so it's difficult for me to wear lashes. I saw a TikTok video about these and decided to give it a shot. Although the smaller pieces were slightly difficult to manage, they stuck to the bond on my lashes with EASE! I love the way these look and now I'm going to test how long they can really last. The box states if you apply double the product, they could last about 10 days. We will see about that! Edit: I've tried a few times now and these last me two to three days. (I also have watery eyes)." — Desi
Get it from Amazon for $9.08.

Honestly, I love all the Good Molecules products." — Hayden Smith
"Saw this on TikTok and decided to give it a try since the price was amazing. OMG, buy it. I've always had dark circles under my eyes and now fine lines and crow's-feet. While this doesn't completely eliminate my dark circles, the fine lines are really diminished. It wears extremely well under makeup and doesn't feel cakey, or like there's a ton of product on." — K.Grant

I am a first time wax user and I didn't even have to read the instructions to understand how to use it :). It even pulled hairs that were less than 1/8 of an inch and managed to pull the follicle, too. I couldn't believe it, lol. I also have eczema so my skin is very sensitive to new products but the wax is great for sensitive skin! I even felt comfortable enough to use it on my face. Obsessed." — Sydney Laroe

We've used both sides (for two and three tacos) and it's just the perfect amount of space for average-sized tacos. We like it because it's not solid all the way along the bottom of the taco, so the taco shells stay crunchy on both ends. (They don't get soft and break apart as they tend to when they're in contact with a surface the entire time they sit.) The blue one is so pretty I want to hang it on the wall but nobody will let me. So I leave it sitting out!" — KeeKee

An Elmer's glue slime kit since slime is easily your kids' favorite craft. From butter slime to glow-in-the-dark slime to color-changing slime — this'll def be a craft your kid will always be in the mood to do. The kit includes regular slime activator, crunchy slime activator, butter slime activator, glow-in-the-dark slime activator, cherry limeade scented activator, glitter glue, clear glue, color-changing glue, glow-in-the-dark glue, and translucent glue. Promising review: "My kids loved this kit. Hours of fun! Did it make a mess? Yes… but it cleaned up easily. I didn't allow the slime on carpet or fabric furniture, so I don't know how easily it would clean up off of that type of material. The mess was totally worth it for me. For reference, my kids' ages are 15, 10, and 7. They all enjoyed it." —Michael it from Amazon for $30.82 (available in one other kit). A pack of 12 reusable, latex-free silicone water balloons to keep the battles going all summer long. You know what this means, don't you? You won't have to pick up alllll those tiny pieces of destroyed balloons! A waterproof version of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza so you can avoid the "I'm borrrred" whining during adult swim this summer. Your kids may not even wanna get back in the pool cuz they'll be so into their fave game. Dolphin Hat Games is a small biz that specializes in family-friendly card play, pass out all of the cards to players and have everyone keep their pile facedown. Everyone takes turns putting a card in the middle while saying "taco," "cat," "goat," "cheese," and "pizza" in that order. If the picture on the card that's placed down matches the word that's been said, everyone races to slap the center pile of cards, and whoever slaps the pile last has to add the center pile to their personal pile. Oh! And there's also "narwhal," where everyone makes a unicorn horn with their hands clapped together above their heads; "gorilla," where everyone bangs on their chest like a gorilla; and "groundhog," where everyone has to knock on the table. Whoever does the motion last picks up the center pile. Whoever runs out of cards first wins! You can play with three to eight players, and the *recommended* age is 8+.Promising review: "I always think about games to play when at the pool — especially when there are 10-minute swim breaks and everyone is out of the pool — this is the perfect game! First of all, our family loves Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. It's a game that's really easy to learn and is an energetic card game (perfect for kids!). To be able to bring this game around the water is awesome. I love how the cards are heavier, so they don't blow away as easily, too. The card ring makes them really easy to just toss in a bag, and I feel like it's indestructible. Honestly, we'll probably play this version of the game even inside just because of how indestructible it is (no one accidentally stepping on a card/ creasing it, etc.). Highly recommend!" —jessieGet it from Amazon for $14.99. An inflatable chicken game, which includes two big ol' fighting chickens that your kids will wanna play with every single day. They'll have a blast wrestling each other off of these big, silly chickens, and best of all, they won't be wrestling in your house next to your very expensive china cabinet. Heck, you might even wanna get on one during your lunch break to partake in all the fun. Promising review: "These chickens are probably the most awesome pool floats we have ever purchased! We have two 12-year-old boys who are having a blast on these things! They also like to sit on them and battle with our pool noodles! They seem to be very durable and have held up well so far. They are not like the cheaper floats that you have to keep blowing up. Yeah, they are a tad bit on the pricey side, but trust me, they are worth it and tons of fun for adults as well." —Vanessa KGet a set of two from Amazon for $69.95. You Want To Speak Memorably? Try These Smart Tips

In today's high-stakes professional world, the ability to communicate isn't just a competency—it's currency. Are you leading a team? Strong communication skill is one of your most important tools. Pitching a product? Ditto. Navigating a job interview? Ditto. In most every workplace situation, your presentation style can be the defining factor between influence and invisibility. Bill McGowan understands this better than most. This Emmy Award-winning TV journalist and bestselling author is a top communications advisor to leading names in business, tech, entertainment, sports, and finance. He's coached the founders of Amazon, Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Spotify, Snapchat, and Airbnb … as well as Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy winners and World Series, Super Bowl, and Olympic champions. McGowan's latest book is Speak, Memorably: The Art of Captivating an Audience. His experience in TV journalism underscored many of the lessons he now provides as a coach. For example, when McGowan worked on ABC's popular '20/20' show, the executive producer would share the minute-to-minute ratings of a segment. Any time an on-camera personality told a story, viewers' interest spiked. Stories, McGowan learned, are much more compelling than statistics. You want to break out of the conformity zone? McGowan recommends avoiding 'corporate speak' and communicating concisely with clarity and simplicity. And at every opportunity, use pertinent stories. While it's important that every part of a presentation be interesting and relevant, McGowan highlights what psychologists call the primary-recency effect: people tend to remember the first and last items in a sequence better than those in the middle. That's a clue on where compelling stories, challenges, or facts should be in a presentation. To underscore the importance and power of simplicity, McGowan tells of a CEO who was in a media interview about a struggle his company was experiencing. The interviewer asked the CEO, 'Why do you think your IPO underperformed vis-à-vis the other companies in your competitive space?' McGowan says that instead of blaming the market or a poor valuation or even suggesting that they didn't have the right financial institution leading the offering, the CEO simply said, 'We underperformed because we failed to come up with a narrative that could fit on the back of a cocktail napkin.' McGowan used that story to kick off a speech he made to a group of communication clients. Using a 'through line,' the connective tissue that helps explain the relevance of a story, he spoke on the subject of simplicity. Citing research studies, McGowan says factual information embedded within storytelling becomes 22 times more memorable 'than if you just fire hose talking points and data points.' McGowan coaches his clients to communicate the visual, the specific, and the anecdotal. When you speak abstractly and theoretically, it's pictureless, he says. 'We human beings have this movie reel spinning in our heads at all times. If a speaker doesn't give us imagery to work with, that movie reel keeps spinning in our head—only now it's spinning with the images we've created. That's what daydreaming is.' In what ways has the rise of remote work and virtual meetings affected the way people communicate? In addition to what many people now call 'Zoom fatigue,' McGowan talks about 'Zoomnesia.' That occurs when people attend a seemingly endless string of remote meetings in which they're sitting in the same room with the same potted plant on their desk and the same view out the window and with no contextual clues. That circumstance makes it even harder for people to retain information, and it underscores the value of well thought-out communication practices that engage people's thinking. McGowan frequently uses metaphors in his coaching. For example, he talks about what he calls the 'pasta sauce principle.' You put a pot of tomato sauce on the stove and cook it down for about three hours. You then have something with about half the volume but a lot more flavor. 'But it takes time and effort to get that reduction going,' McGowan says. 'The same is true for speaking.' It wouldn't be accurate to say McGowan has written a cookbook. But Speak, Memorably certainly provides the ingredients for welcome servings of appetizing communication. Whether you're giving a TED talk, speaking at the local Rotary Club, or just trying not to lose people in your Monday morning staff meeting, McGowan offers insight that will boost your communication mojo.

50 Products You Won't Just "Normal" Like, You'll *Reallllllllyyyy* Like

A set of breathable seamless thongs specifically loved by several reviewers who "never wear" thongs and "hate" thongs. Folks say these are comfortable all day *and* claim they're comparable to (and even better than!) brands like Skims and Victoria's Secret. I'm sold. Like, literally. Buying now. A stunning minimizer bra with the power to basically give you a surgery-free breast reduction with some ultimate seduction. The comfortable sheer mesh and lace details are oh-so-sexy that, despite the impressive results when worn under shirts, you may find yourself too distracted looking at your gorgeous shelf (oops, I mean, self) to wanna put clothes on over it. Reviewers rave about the bra's ability to support breasts while minimizing bulk without the awkward separating and squishing that often result from lesser bras. A Cup Cozy Pillow that'll stay upright beside you on the sofa and keep your remotes, snacks, and drinks at the ready while your friends spend precious moments during your movie marathon getting up and trotting around the place in search of sustenance — the fools! A set of limited edition wildflower Band-Aids — I don't care how old you are, if your Band-Aids are cute, your cuts and scrapes hurt less and heal faster. I don't know the science behind it, but it's definitely sound. And this flexible fabric floral collection? It's sure to work twice as well. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream formulated with cupuaçu butter, coconut oil, and açai oil to give your skin a powerful dose of hydration. It'll also wake up and temporarily tighten your skin with the same stuff you use to become awake and alert for the That's right, our skin enjoys the stuff as much as the rest of us. This smells like vanilla and caramel, which means it's basically a latte for your skin. Delicious. A Java Sock that'll do the two most important things for your beloved iced coffees ( drinks. I know people drink other drinks!) 1) It'll keep that caramel almond milk cold brew cold for ages — hours, according to reviewers — and 2) It'll keep your drink from sweating into your cupholder or all over your desk. It's a cruel twist of fate that iced coffee sweats as much as we do in the summer. A seat gap filler to save your phone, keys, and french fries from certain doom. This simple stuffer has over 50,000 5-star reviews, so feel free to just gift this to your friends after you get one yourself. It's clearly a hit! SweatBlock antiperspirant wipes with a clinical strength formula that'll last up to seven days (!!!) for folks who get seasonal depression whenever the sun has them sweatin' it for no good reason. A Denman Hair Brush designed with bristles specifically spaced to detangle and shape curls that may otherwise feel frazzled and look undefined. Hit the snooze button and save time in the mornings with this brush by your side. A "dog bed for humans" — this perfectly plush piece of furniture is made for dog people who want to be *dog* people. Your friends (and their pets) are gonna be begging you to scoot over and make room. A set of Mellanni extra soft cooling bedsheets reviewers say feel like sleeping at a luxurious hotel. If you've found falling asleep a chore because of tossing, turning, and *sweating* at night then treat yourself to these cult-favorite sheets! One side is a classic cotton and the other side has an ~Arc-Chill~ fabric that's literally cool to the touch. Ahem, cool. And a pair of cooling pillowcases with thousands of dreamy reviews from *previously* sweaty sleepers. If you find yourself waking up to flip to the cool side of the pillow over and over at night, the time has come to get these in your life. Sleep well! A personalized book stamp that'll have all your book club buddies oohing and awwing over your impressive library. Plus, they'll never forget when they borrow a book from *you* ever again! A cult-fave supportive seamless compressive bodysuit for budget-focused consumers who love *everything* about the similar Skims version, aside from the price. And at a price this nice, you should probably get more than one. It's for the best. A travel brush with a hidden compartment sure to be looked upon with envy by your overpacked travel buddies as they desperately try to find some open space on the counter of your hotel bathroom. Trying to fit seven people in two rooms has not worked out as well as your bachelorette party thought it would. But hey, *you've* got a brush with enough room for toothpaste and tampons! You're doing great. A set of "wine wands" for cheap-box-wine-loving fiends who don't want their boozy gossip nights turning into hungover mornings. Simply swish these in a glass of wine, and in three minutes, those pesky sulfates and histamines will be removed. They've become hangover-free drinks thanks to these real-life magic wands. A paper incense tin to add a little pocket-sized luxury to your life. Inside the wrapped tin is a decorative paper envelope filled with 48 teeny tiny incense papers. To use, clip one piece of paper to the tin and wait as it burns (for about 5 minutes). After that, the soothing smell should fill your space for up to a few hours. A fruit tart cat bed with removable fruits and a cushioned crust that'll make your friends ~berry~ jealous of your cat (your REAL best friend). A Y2K-inspired cargo mini skirt for anyone whose heart strings are directly tied to bottoms with a drawstring (ahhh, the comfort!). This also has *actually useful* flap pockets on either side, with enough room for your phone, keys, ID, etc. ...making this an ideal piece for music festivals and long days/nights out when you'd rather not lug around a tote. A timeless tennis bracelet made with 14K gold plated cubic zirconia that's sure to look like you put down some serious $$$ on Swarovski, which can stay our little secret. A bottle of *extra strength* Lee Beauty Callus Remover for tackling the gnarliest of cracked calluses using a formula that's both powerful and protective of extra aching skin. The reviewer below recommends this for runners, as it's able to manage painful calluses without taking away from the added protection they provide for active feet. A pack of wall plant clips (a whopping SIXTY of them, in fact) sure to delight pothos-lovers who have vines wrapped around every nook and cranny of their living room, just waiting for the day when they can spread out around the room. These gentle clips are paint-safe and sticky on the back, so you can display vines without using nails or aesthetic-killing clips. An exfoliating mitten lots of folks love for preventing ingrown hairs, reducing KP, and smoothing out their skin before applying tanning lotion. I personally love using an exfoliating mitt in the summer after a day covered in sunscreen and sand. There's no better way to get rid of that goop! A refillable roll-on sponge sunscreen applicator sure to make putting on sunscreen (both on your kids *and* on yourself) less of a chore. This goes on fast and blends in easily – no mess required! Families and other folks who look like *dweebs* slathering on sunscreen are sure to look at your quick application with envy. A pair of reusable silicone nipple covers designed for all the summer dresses that feel like they're ruined by a bra. And I mean *summer* dresses — these are totally waterproof, so go ahead and enjoy the heat! There will be no need to ~sweat it~ in these. A jar of The Pink Stuff (the internet's favorite cleaning product) that'll clean everything from pots and pans to blotches in your bathtub. Move over firefighters, I want a calendar of THIS sexy stuff and its shiny results. Cerave eye repair cream, which is cooked up with their famous blend of ceramides (a skincare "secret sauce" if you will) and a healthy dose of hyaluronic acid to boost hydration and niacinamide to help tighten and brighten the appearance of skin. If you're revitalizing your skincare routine, add this to the mix and reduce the appearance of dark circles, under-eye puffiness, *and* fine lines. ~Eye~ love to see it. A jealousy-inducing Melissa & Doug ice cream counter — it'll be tons of fun to play ice cream shop with your kids, for sure, but they *always* get to be the ice cream maker! When is it gonna be YOUR turn to scoop the ice cream cones?! It looks so fun! A bag of citrusy Liquid I.V. Hydration packets, with three times the electrolytes of a typical sports drink, great for packing on long hikes, recovering after a run, and keeping close during long days strolling in the sun. Honestly, you may just wanna keep these in your bag 24/7. An oscillating tower fan that has six speeds (we're talkin' up to 24 feet per second velocity), three modes, and a surprisingly quiet design despite its power. One reviewer nicknamed this "THE GLACIER" and gushed about it being "better than your air conditioner." If you're intimidated by installing an A.C. in your fourth-floor gonna be a big fan of this gadget. Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil with the most impressive review photos I've seen in my little life! Reviewers swear up and down over how well this erases blackheads and sebaceous filaments. Use this as the first step of your cleansing routine, and then just rinse with water. Watch your blackheads disappear so quickly they won't even have a chance to say goodbye. Aww, sad. A versatile veggie chopper that'll help you prep (and cleanup!) with speed that feels simply nonsensical. The interchangeable blades just pop out, then you'll just throw them right into the dishwasher! A tennis skort with a dreamy four-way stretch and moisture-wicking material for folks who spend the summer desperate to find outfits that won't be drenched in sweat at the end of the day. This precious piece has chic side slits, a high-rise waistband, and two hidden pockets. When I tell you I'm buying this in every color and wearing it all summer me (I already own it in black). A portable air compressor so small and mighty it seems like something Mary Poppins would whip out of her magic carpet bag. If your tire deflates somewhere inconvenient, this thing is gonna be the roadside nanny you didn't know you needed. It has a real-time pressure monitor to inflate flat car and bike tires on the go. It even has a built-in LED light you can use at night and boasts a one-minute inflation, so you don't have to worry about being stuck on the side of the road too long. A Bio-Oil, beloved by many a skin-having human, made with a powerful blend of moisturizing oils and vitamins that'll aid in fadin' scars you'd rather have bippity-boppity-boop off your body. A set of Wonder Hangers so you can stack outfits, categories, or even *colors* of clothes with a vertical system, using up closet space in the most efficient (and A-type-friendly) way possible. A tomato table lamp, which is less than half the cost of the Urban Outfitter's version (which is always sold out), and reviewers think it's even better! This is sure to ~produce~ some smiles from everyone who sits in your living room! A ChomChom pet hair remover roller that'll pick up fur and lock it inside the roller so that cleanup is a breeze and it doesn't lose its effectiveness with heavy use. We love our pets but woof, shedding is their greatest skill. And a *self-cleaning* grooming brush to give your critter some soothing (and oh-so-necessary) personal care. This gadget has bristles that retract so you can sweep away all the pet hair you just brushed right into the trash. Or your knitting you're into crafts. A high pressure rainfall showerhead with a stainless-steel finish that's sleek and a rainwater feature that's gonna be ooh-so-soothing. A pack of stain-removing, nontoxic cleaning cups to clean out your Keurig's innards once your coffee starts tasting a little less bold and a little more bleh. A nongreasy hair wax stick with a whopping 29,000 5-star reviews — a lightweight solution for anyone who wants smooth edges and slick buns that'll last all dang day.
