Big Thief Mull ‘Infinity' On Upcoming Album
Big Thief are in a New York state of mind on their upcoming sixth album, Double Infinity, which will emerge Sept. 5 from 4AD. The nine-track project was recorded last winter at the Big Apple's Power Station studio in daily nine-hour improvised sessions with such collaborators as Alena Spanger, Caleb Michel, Hannah Cohen, Jon Nellen, Joshua Crumbly, June McDoom, Laraaji, Mikel Patrick Avery and Mikey Buishas.
First single 'Incomprehensible' is out now, and album pre-orders are available here. On it, frontwoman Adrianne Lenker mulls childhood memories and the prospect of aging. 'In two days, it's my birthday and I'll be 33 / that doesn't really matter next to eternity,' she sings.

Lil Wayne Hits New Chart Peaks A Quarter-Century Into His Career
Lil Wayne's Tha Carter VI debuts on six Billboard charts, earning the rapper his loftiest win on the ... More Top Streaming Albums list and his first smash on the Vinyl Albums roster. DALLAS, TEXAS - MAY 26: Rapper Lil Wayne performs during TwoGether Land at Fair Park on May 26, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. (Photo by Eugenia R. Washington/WireImage) Lil Wayne scored his first hit album in America more than a quarter-century ago, and ever since, he's remained one of the biggest names in hip-hop. The rap superstar continues to stand out as a massively popular artist as his new album Tha Carter VI debuts. The sixth installment in his semi-self-titled series opens inside the top 10 on half a dozen Billboard rankings this frame, and as it arrives, it brings the Grammy winner to peaks he's never reached before throughout his illustrious career. Lil Wayne Reaches a New Career Peak Tha Carter VI almost earns Wayne his first No. 1 on the Top Streaming Albums chart, but instead, it launches in the runner-up space. He's blocked from the summit only by I'm the Problem, Morgan Wallen's latest blockbuster. That lengthy project debuted at No. 1 a month ago and hasn't moved since. Tha Carter VI does manage to earn Wayne his first top 10 on the list of the most-streamed full-lengths in America. It beats his previously set high point of No. 15, which he reached alongside 2 Chainz on Welcome 2 Collegrove in 2023. Lil Wayne's First Vinyl Win The album is also a quick bestseller when it comes to wax records, as the set opens at No. 3 on the Vinyl Albums chart. Despite his incredible success over the years, Wayne had never before reached the vinyl-only tally in the U.S. Tha Carter VI opens behind only Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance (No. 1) and Never Enough by Turnstile (No. 2). Tha Carter VI Debuts at No. 1 Tha Carter VI easily launches at No. 1 on both the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums rankings. Wayne earns his milestone tenth leader on the rap-only list and his eleventh on the more encompassing R&B/Hip-Hop tally. He just barely misses out on another champion on both the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales chart, where Tha Carter VI blasts in at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. Coincidentally, Wayne earns his lucky thirteenth top 10 on that pair of rosters as his latest full-length arrives.

Jelly Roll Reaches New Career Peaks With His Latest Superstar Collaboration
Jelly Roll hits new career highs on Billboard's rap and hip-hop charts with "Sharks," a ... More collaboration with Lil Wayne and Big Sean from Tha Carter VI. FRISCO, TEXAS - MAY 08: Jelly Roll attends the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards at Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star on May 08, 2025 in Frisco, Texas. (Photo by Taylor Hill/WireImage) Jelly Roll has a lot going on at the moment. When it comes to the Billboard charts, three of his own singles are present on at least one tally apiece, but that figure only represents about half of his current successes. He's also credited as a featured artist on four tracks fronted by other stars that are going strong. The singer-songwriter manages to land wins across a variety of rankings, appearing on tallies focused specifically on country, rock, and hip-hop simultaneously. It's in the latter sphere where the Grammy nominee reaches a new career peak on several tallies at the same time with a debut. Jelly Roll's New Peaks on the Rap Charts Jelly joins Lil Wayne and Big Sean on "Sharks," which is featured on Tha Carter VI, the latest full-length by Wayne. "Sharks" was quickly selected by fans as a standout tune from the project, and it earns a lofty starting point on a number of rosters. The collaborative track opens at No. 12 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It also manages to launch at No. 7 on both the Hot Rap Songs and Rap Streaming Songs tallies. Those positions mark new career peaks for Jelly on those competitive lists. Jelly Roll's Collabs with Eminem and Joyner Lucas Throughout his time in the spotlight, Jelly has only placed two tunes on all three of those rankings — but which track of his has reached them differs. He previously topped out at No. 40 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with "Best for Me," a collaboration with Joyner Lucas. Over on the rap-specific rankings, Jelly has previously appeared inside the top 10 on both the Hot Rap Songs and Rap Streaming Songs lists with "Somebody Save Me," his 2024 collaboration with Eminem. "Sharks" beats "Somebody Save Me" by just a spot or two on that pair of rosters. Jelly Roll's First Career Win The multi-style artist also reaches the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs ranking for the very first time with "Sharks." It opens at No. 9 on the list of the most successful hip-hop, R&B and rap tunes across platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, and Jelly scores his first top 10 with the collaboration upon its arrival.
