Sana'a meeting discusses unified admission policy for community colleges, technical institutes

A meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem al-Duais convened in Sana'a on Saturday to discuss the coordination and admission policy for community colleges and public and private technical and vocational institutes for the upcoming academic year 1447 AH (2025/2026 AD).
The meeting brought together key officials including Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for the Higher Education Sector, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman and Undersecretary for Secondary Education Dr. Zaid al-Hadour.
Discussions centered on the mechanism for creating a unified online portal for coordination and admission, encompassing technical and vocational education, community colleges, and higher education institutions. The meeting also addressed the determination of the start date for the coordination process.
Participants reviewed the steps taken, the criteria for the coordination and admission process for the academic year 1447 AH, and the challenges anticipated, along with potential solutions.
The meeting tasked specialists from both sectors with developing a standardized coordination mechanism aligned with approved guidelines. They were also assigned the responsibility of preparing admission quotas for community colleges and technical and vocational institutes, with the coordination process scheduled to commence this week.
Dr. al-Duais emphasized the importance of a comprehensive discussion regarding the coordination and admission policy, encouraging observations and suggestions to enhance it.
He also stressed the need to review the challenges faced by colleges, institutes, and students during the coordination and admission phases, and to find solutions in accordance with existing regulations.

The plan will focus on raising awareness, discipline, and traffic safety while enhancing the efficiency of personnel through cultural and training programs on professional conduct with citizens. He reiterated the need to develop the cultural and religious awareness of traffic officers through educational programs that reinforce faith-based consciousness, self-discipline, and commitment to divine guidance in fulfilling responsibilities. He highlighted that Traffic Police operations are rooted in the teachings of the Holy Quran, instilling values of honesty, integrity, sincerity, and excellence in service. Sana'a - Saba: A training workshop for first-grade teachers on teaching the proper recitation of the Holy Quran began on Monday at Saba School in the Capital Secretariat. The week-long workshop, organized by the Education Sector of the Ministry of Education, Scientific Research, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Educational Coordination and Summer Activities at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was inaugurated by the Minister of Education, Hassan Al-Saadi. He emphasized the workshop's role in refining and improving methods for teaching the recitation and tilawah of the Holy Quran. Targeting 30 female teachers from first-grade classes across several schools in the Capital Secretariat, the minister highlighted the importance of trainees mastering simplified and effective teaching methods to ensure students develop proper pronunciation, recitation skills, and correct articulation of letters. Minister Al-Saadi reiterated the ministry's commitment to training and qualifying educators as part of its efforts to enhance the educational process, acknowledging the contributions of all those involved in organizing the workshop. Sana'a - Saba: A meeting held on Sunday in Ma'een District of the Capital Secretariat, chaired by the head of the Social Affairs Committee, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, discussed the completion of procedures for establishing the multi-purpose Ma'een Cooperative Association. The meeting, attended by executive, local, and developmental leaders, addressed the reasons for the delay in finalizing the association's establishment to serve as a true developmental arm for Ma'een District, as well as the necessary solutions. This comes in line with the directives of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the program of the Government of Change and Construction, emphasizing the need to complete the establishment of cooperative associations in the districts of the Capital Secretariat. Al-Naqeeb stressed the importance of unifying efforts and expediting the completion of developmental cooperative associations in all districts of the Secretariat, given their significant role in local development and enhancing community support for official efforts in building sustainable development. He highlighted the role and plan of the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the Secretariat, its priorities, and its main objective of achieving sustainable development, with resources allocated by the local authority for this purpose. He affirmed the Capital Secretariat leadership's keen interest and close follow-up to complete the establishment of developmental associations in all districts, providing the necessary support to achieve this goal. During the meeting, the Director of the Financing Unit, Engineer Abdulmalik Al-Ansi, discussed several developmental projects the unit intends to implement in Ma'een District, as well as forming a joint committee from the Financing Unit and Ma'een leadership to prepare a plan and budget for developmental projects for the year 1447 AH. For his part, the Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the Secretariat, Nasser Al-Kahali, emphasized the importance of completing the training of the remaining "Development Knights and Pioneers" in Ma'een District, as they are the key elements in building development. He also stressed the need to qualify and train the remaining members of the association to enable them to carry out their tasks effectively. Meanwhile, the Director of Ma'een District, Abdulmalik Al-Radhi, appreciated the efforts and attention of the Capital Secretariat leadership in accelerating the completion of the Ma'een Cooperative Association to enable it to implement developmental projects and economic empowerment programs, as well as activating the Development Knights and Pioneers in the district.
