Deputy Education Minister opens 2nd Sana'a Education exhibition

Sana'a - Saba: Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem al-Duais on Saturday inaugurated the "Second Sana'a Education Exhibition 2025," showcasing programs from 26 educational institutions. Accompanied by ministry officials, Dr. al-Duais toured the five-day exhibition, organized by the Higher Education Sector and Nahdet Fikr. The event aims to provide students with a comprehensive overview of available specializations, offers, and benefits from 14 private universities, 12 community colleges, and various institutes. Dr. al-Duais lauded the exhibition for offering academic services and guidance, stressing its role in promoting education, scientific research, and community service. He emphasized the importance of such events in fostering competition and encouraging student enrollment to enhance educational quality. Coordinator for Private Universities Haroun Shaddad commended the exhibition's organization and the diverse participation, noting the academic consultations, benefits, and tuition discounts offered across various disciplines. Education Officials inspect basic exams, summer programs in Sanhan district

Sana'a - Saba: Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem al-Duais, along with Undersecretaries Ibrahim Sharaf al-Din and Ziyad al-Rafiq, on Sunday conducted an inspection of the summer courses and basic certificate examinations in Sanhan district in Sana'a province. Accompanied by province's education sector official Talib Dahan, they reviewed the implemented programs at al-Nujum al-Asr and Ahl al-Kisa' summer centers within the district. During their visit, they emphasized the significance of the summer courses in developing and equipping young people with diverse skills, providing them with divine guidance and the teachings of the Holy Quran, and strengthening their faith-based identity through Quranic culture. They commended the active role of community committees in mobilizing participation for the summer courses and their efforts to achieve the program's objectives of consolidating a strong faith-based and Quranic cultural identity, ultimately aiming to cultivate a generation armed with knowledge and understanding, ready to uphold the responsibility of "jihad for the sake of God" and defending the homeland. The officials also reviewed the progress of the basic certificate examinations at al-Nabi al-Mukhtar Boys' and al-Hindwana Girls' Centers in the district. They received a briefing from district's education sector official Ahmed Nasser, regarding the progress of the examination committees and the level of student participation in the summer courses. Sana'a - Saba: A meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem al-Duais convened in Sana'a on Saturday to discuss the coordination and admission policy for community colleges and public and private technical and vocational institutes for the upcoming academic year 1447 AH (2025/2026 AD). The meeting brought together key officials including Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for the Higher Education Sector, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman and Undersecretary for Secondary Education Dr. Zaid al-Hadour. Discussions centered on the mechanism for creating a unified online portal for coordination and admission, encompassing technical and vocational education, community colleges, and higher education institutions. The meeting also addressed the determination of the start date for the coordination process. Participants reviewed the steps taken, the criteria for the coordination and admission process for the academic year 1447 AH, and the challenges anticipated, along with potential solutions. The meeting tasked specialists from both sectors with developing a standardized coordination mechanism aligned with approved guidelines. They were also assigned the responsibility of preparing admission quotas for community colleges and technical and vocational institutes, with the coordination process scheduled to commence this week.
