Every celebrity mentioned during Sean ‘Diddy' Combs' sex-trafficking trial — and why
Kanye West, Michael B. Jordan, Kid Cudi and Mike Myers were among the first celebrities spoken of when the trial kicked off in New York City's Manhattan federal court.
While the group wasn't accused of any wrongdoing, they were among the names jurors were warned might be talked about.
Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura also took the stand, naming several celebrities.
She recalled how the music mogul allegedly abused her during their on-again, off-again romance from 2007 to 2018.
Below, read about every celebrity mentioned to date.
West, mentioned during jury selection on May 5, has been in Combs' corner since the latter's September 2024 arrest.
The 'Heartless' rapper, who hasn't been accused of wrongdoing, released a new track, featuring his daughter North West and Combs, titled 'Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine' on March 15.
A few days later, he shared a prerecorded phone conversation with the Bad Boys Records founder via social media.
At the time, Combs warned Kanye to 'be careful' of people trying to 'end' him, and thanked the 'Bound 2' crooner for looking after his seven children.
Myers was also named during jury selection, though he's not accused of anything.
The 'Saturday Night Live' alum's relationship with Combs is unknown.
Michelle Williams was also name-dropped during jury selection.
The Destiny's Child alum wasn't accused of any wrongdoing.
Jordan hasn't been accused of any crimes, but was mentioned during jury selection.
He famously dated Ventura in 2016 during the her break from Combs.
When Ventura took the stand on May 13, she recalled her decade-long romance with Combs.
The 'Me & U' singer alleged the 'Last Night' crooner would have her participate in sex and drug-filled parties called 'Freak-Offs,' starting when she was 22 years old.
When asked how long the parties would last, the hitmaker responded, 'significant periods of time … the longest was four days.'
Ventura claimed that the 'Freak-Offs' left her with 'a lot of stomach issues and gastrointestinal issues from taking drugs.'
Ventura also alleged that Combs would often abuse her by hitting her on the head, knocking her down and stomping on her if she was down.
She alleged her ex would tell her to 'fix [her] face or watch [her] mouth' before 'hitting' her face.
An unedited video of Combs abusing Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Calif., in 2016, was released during the trial.
When Ventura testified, she mentioned she got together with the 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper while he was with the late Kim Porter.
The 'Me & U' singer alleged her sexual relationship with Combs started 'many years' before they took their romance public in 2007.
'He just didn't want it to look bad, but also knew it was because of his children and personal things like his family,' Ventura claimed, per JustJared.
Porter and Combs, who shared three kids, started dating in the '90s and split in 2007.
She died in 2018 from pneumonia.
Drake was named in Ventura's testimony, claiming she was abused by Combs ahead of attending the Canadian rapper's 2013 OVO Festival in Toronto.
Ventura still attended the festival and was seen with French Montana.
She recalled having to style her hair in a particular way to hide an alleged injury.
Ventura returned to testify on May 14 and mentioned Prince.
The 'Is It You' singer recalled how she went to the 'Kiss' singer's private concert in the basement of his Los Angeles home.
She recalled the 'once in a lifetime experience' and claimed she didn't tell Combs she would be attending.
'He would have definitely not let me go,' Ventura said.
Ventura alleged to have seen Combs shortly after arriving.
She claimed to have 'caught a glimpse of him and [she] ran out as fast as [she] could.'
'I knew he was angry at me,' she testified, alleging how he went to the hotel where she was staying and beat her.
Ventura recalled meeting Kid Cudi — born Scott Mescudi — in December 2011.
The 'Official Girl' singer claimed not to have told Combs about her romance with the 'Day 'n' Nite' singer, explaining they weren't in a good place.
Combs, however, allegedly found out about Ventura's fling during a 'Freak-Off' when he went through her phone.
He allegedly retaliated by grabbing a wine bottle opener and threatening her.

Jeremy Renner Plans to Return to Marvel: ‘My Body's Getting Ready'
Jeremy Renner is ready to step back into Hawkeye's suit. In a new interview with Empire, the actor said that he is 'sure' he will return as the Marvel superhero, either in a second season of Disney+ series Hawkeye or in a future MCU movie. 'I'm always happy to be in that world, man,' Renner said. 'I love all those guys, I love the character. I'm sure we'll end up doing Season 2 [of Hawkeye], and do other things. And I'm happy to do it. My body's getting ready for something like that. I don't know if anybody wants to see me in tights, but my body will look good in the tights.' 'I'm more than 150 per cent of what I was prior to the incident,' he told Empire. 'Having health and wellness be such a central part of my life, that's what's gotten me back. And even as I age, I just feel stronger than I've been. I have some issues, and tendon issues and certain limitations of flexibility and mobility, but I spent a lot of time on getting better and stronger, and I wouldn't if I didn't get crushed.' Earlier this year, Renner confirmed he previously passed on a second season of Hawkeye because he was offered 'half' of his pay from the first season. 'They asked me to do Season 2, and they offered me half the money,' the actor said. 'I'm like, 'Well, it's going to take me twice the amount of work for half the amount of money, and eight months of my time, essentially, to do it for half the amount.' He alluded that the reason behind the lower offer was due to his accident, which crushed more than 30 bones in his body. 'I'm like, 'I'm sorry? Why? Did you think I'm only half the Jeremy because I got ran over? Maybe that's why you want to pay me half of what I made on the first season,'' he said. The first season of Hawkeye debuted on Disney+ in 2021 and starred Renner alongside Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh. Renner also appeared as the character in several Marvel films, including The Avengers. Gary Busey Pleads Guilty to Groping Woman's Behind
Gary Busey admitted he purposely groped a woman's buttocks while posing with fans at a New Jersey horror convention in 2022, pleading guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual contact on Thursday. The 81-year-old actor entered the plea during a virtual hearing, admitting he touched the woman for his own gratification. 'You understand now, and you knew then that that was not appropriate. It was wrong, correct,' a prosecutor asked Busey. 'Yes, very much,' he responded. More from Rolling Stone Sean Combs' Allies Have Upped Pardon Talks. His Survivors Want to Shut Them Down Sean Combs Asks Judge to Ditch His Conviction or Retry Prostitution Counts Alec Baldwin's Lawsuit Against New Mexico Prosecutors Dismissed The incident occurred at the semi-annual Monster-Mania Con in Camden, New Jersey in August 2022. While posing with fans Busey was accused of groping several women, who filed reports with local police. The actor was charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree; one count of attempting criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree, and one disorderly conduct count of harassment. Under the plea agreement, prosecutors will drop the remaining charges, according to CourtTV. Busey faces between one to five years of probation and fines, and has agreed not to contact the woman. His sentencing is set for Sept. 18. Throughout the hearing, a disheveled Busey seemed distracted, seemingly having problems with his hearing aid. At one point, he took a swing from a soda can, which earned him a sharp rebuke from the judge. Busey's guilty plea comes after he originally claimed the women had made the entire thing up. 'None of that happened,' he told TMZ in 2022. 'There were a partner, and a camera lady, and me and two girls. It took less than 10 seconds, and then they left. Then, they made up this story that I assaulted them sexually — but I did not.' Despite his admission to the unwanted touching, Busey's attorney still seemed to object to referring to the women as victims. 'I disagree with, most respectfully, for identifying the individuals and counts two through five as victims,' the attorney said. 'Since those cases are being dismissed — it's just a technical matter — I don't think they remain victims if they're being dismissed.' Rolling Stone has reached out to Busey's attorney for further comment. Matt Rogers talks bringing zeitgeisty Las Culturistas Awards to TV for the 1st time
The last Teen Choice Awards aired in 2019. MTV canceled its MTV Movie & TV Awards show after 2023. It's been a rough period for those deserving of recognition as choice hottie or best villain. Enter the Las Culturistas Culture Awards, now in its fifth year — and coming to television for the first time Tuesday. Conceived by comedians and longtime friends Bowen Yang ('Saturday Night Live') and Matt Rogers ('I Love That For You') and an outgrowth of their 'Las Culturistas' podcast, this year's edition was taped in July and will air on Bravo. 'The thing that's cohesive about Bravo and our brand is the fact that we center fun and that kind of made it a really natural home for us,' Rogers said recently over Zoom. These awards give flowers to a variety of genres. Categories this year include most iconic building or structure (Lumon headquarters from 'Severance' is nominated), best title for the next 'Bridget Jones' ('Bridget Jones to Terabithia' is a contender) and the Lindsay Lohan in 'Parent Trap' award for twins excellence (Michael B. Jordan gets a nod for 'Sinners'). Rogers' favorite? 'They're all my babies,' he said, but is most proud of best 'Batman' woman. One of the nominees: Robyn — yes, not Robin. 'It's the Riddler's assistant,' joked Rogers. 'Robyn scenes were cut from the movie.' The awards aren't even limited to work from the past year — the nonexistent Robyn's competitors include both Michelle Pfeiffer and Anne Hathaway's portrayal of Catwoman. The awards are 'one of the most fun things we do every year,' Rogers said. The whole point is to remind people that Hollywood — and especially awards shows — are not that serious. Rogers spoke with The Associated Press about the Las Culturistas Culture Awards, the podcast and keeping up with pop culture. This interview has been edited for clarity and brevity. AP: Why did you and Bowen start the Las Culturistas Culture Awards? ROGERS: I don't think there's anything funnier than people who take themselves too seriously. And being hosts of a pop culture podcast in which we talk about the entertainment industry quite frequently, we see it as an opportunity to empower everyone to drop their shoulders a little bit. Bowen was just nominated for his fifth (chance at an) Emmy. It still means something, even though we're in the process of satirizing it, which says everything you need to know about the place that this holds in our culture. AP: Do you ever find it hard to keep up with everything that's popping in the zeitgeist? ROGERS: Absolutely. We talk about this a lot on the show. The death of monoculture is a very real thing, so we are not all watching the same stuff. It would be impossible to cover everything that everyone wants us to cover. For example, I can't really do 'Love Island.' The episodes are just a little too long and, also, it's not my flavor of reality show. That doesn't mean that l don't think it's incredible for people that want to watch it. I am an Ariana Madix superfan and supporter. Having said that, if we're talking about something on 'Las Culturistas,' it is honest. I would never want to just cram for the podcast. If you hear us talking about it, it's something we're actually encountering. AP: As you and Bowen each become busier with your individual careers, is there a scenario where you would end the podcast? (Yang did take a break in 2023 to focus on his mental health.) ROGERS: The podcast is not hard to do. Maybe if it were, or if we felt like at a certain point it was too exposing, we would maybe take a break. But the fact is, we don't feel that way. If it was ever a thing of like, 'Hey, we need to wind it back,' that probably means we would book less guests and just talk to each other. The energy expense is when we're getting ready to host someone that we love or that we wanna make sure has a good time. It's an hour or whatever of me talking to my friend. AP: Why do you think there are so many podcasts out there? ROGERS: It's a celebration of someone's interests. I always say if you have an interest, you can find 15 podcasts about that thing no matter what it is. I think what makes people excited about this world is it's a place to talk and deep dive or be too granular and too niche about what you love. AP: What was the original goal for 'Las Culturistas' when you started back in 2016? You've gone on to have Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker and Chappell Roan as guests. ROGERS: The podcast started with me and Bowen sitting behind mics, very lo-fi at our friend's apartment. A mattress was in the window to keep the sound out. It was just a playdate for me and Bowen. It wasn't even weekly in the very beginning. It was very haphazard. The sentence, 'Oh, we owe them an episode,' was uttered a lot. Then suddenly it became this thing. And we realized it was really not only helping us, but it was something we enjoyed.
