'Letters of public are not just papers, but reflection of hope and faith': Uttarakhand CM Dhami
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday emphasised that the letters of the public are not just papers, but reflection of hope and faith.
"Today, after reading some such complaint letters, I talked to the concerned complainants.
Also, I have instructed the officials to take immediate action on them. Solution is the biggest identity of the working style of our government," CM Dhami said.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while talking to the complainants who sent letters to the Chief Minister's Office and shared their problems, has instructed the officials to take appropriate action on their issues. Karm Chand, a resident of Shergarh in Doiwala tehsil, had lodged a complaint that the irrigation canal coming to his field has broken, due to which there is a crisis of irrigation.
After listening to the entire problem, the Chief Minister directed the Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department, to take appropriate action in the matter.
Similarly, Major Naresh Kumar Sakllodged a complaint about private persons encroaching on his land and building a minor irrigation canal, on which Chief Minister Dhami has directed the District Magistrate Dehradun to take immediate action.
Another complainant, Canal Road resident Dhirendra Shukla, has filed a complaint against the builder for harassment.
The Chief Minister has asked MDDA to investigate the matter. The Chief Minister has also directed the Secretary of the Public Works Department to take action on the road-related complaint of Vikasnagar Dinkar Vihar resident Vishan Dutt Sharma.
Earlier today, the Uttarakhand CM flagged off the Kalash Yatra for the Jalabhishek of the idol of Lord Surya in Kushinagar district from his official residence in Dehradun.
As part of the initiative, water from around 151 sacred rivers across the country is being collected for the Jalabhishek of the Surya idol in Kushinagar. The Kalash Yatra, flagged off by the Chief Minister, includes water gathered from the holy rivers of Uttarakhand.
Mahamandaleshwar 1008 Swami Santoshanand Dev Maharaj, President of the Purvanchal Mahotsav Samiti Vinay Rai, along with other committee members, were present during the flagging-off ceremony.
Earlier on Thursday, in view of the Kanwar Yatra, the Uttarakhand government launched 'Operation Kalanemi' to take action against imposters who are hurting religious sentiments and duping people in the name of 'Sanatan Dharma'.
Chief Minister Dhami said that many such cases have come to light in the state where anti-social elements are cheating people, especially women, by disguising themselves as seers. This, he said, is not only hurting the religious sentiments of the people, but also harming the image of social harmony and Sanatan tradition.
"In such a situation, if a person of any religion is found doing such acts, then strict action will be ensured against him," he added.
The Chief Minister referenced the mythological asura Kalanemi, stating that just like the demon had attempted to mislead by disguising himself as a saint, similarly, many "Kalanemis" are active in society today who are committing crimes in religious guise. Dhami further said that his government is fully committed to protecting public sentiments, the dignity of Sanatan culture and maintaining social harmony.
Those who spread hypocrisy in the name of faith will not be spared under any circumstances, he said.

RSS Chief Bhagwat Invokes Yogi Arvinds Vision For Hindu Rashtra; Says, First Understand...
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday asserted that the rise of Sanatan Dharma and the emergence of a Hindu nation are inevitable, echoing the words of Yogi Arvind. Speaking at the 'Gyan Sabha', a national education conference organised by the Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Bhagwat said, "Yogi Arvind said that it is God's will for the Sanatan Dharma to rise and for the rise of Sanatan Dharma, the rise of the Hindu nation is inevitable. These are his words, and we see that today's world needs this vision. Therefore, we will have to first understand what Bharat is" Bhagwat said that India's identity must be preserved, asserting that if you lose your identity, no matter how good you are, the world will neither respect nor protect you. "Bharat is a proper noun. It should not be translated. 'India that is Bharat' is true. But Bharat is Bharat, and that is why, while writing and speaking, we should keep Bharat as Bharat... Bharat must remain Bharat. The identity of Bharat is respected because it is Bharat. If you lose your identity, whatever other meritorious qualities you may have, you will never be respected or secure in this world. That is the thumb rule,' Bhagwat said. Bhagwat also called for India to move beyond the symbolism of being the 'golden bird' and instead become a 'lion', asserting that the world recognises and respects power. 'The world understands power. Therefore, Bharat must become strong. It must also grow rich in economic terms,' Bhagwat said, stressing that strength and prosperity are essential for India to find its rightful place in the global order. Touching on the theme of national identity, Bhagwat made a strong case for preserving the name 'Bharat' without translation. 'Bharat is a proper noun. It should not be translated. 'India is Bharat' — that's true. But Bharat is Bharat. In every context — whether personal or public, while speaking or writing — we should say Bharat,' he emphasised. The RSS chief also spoke at length about the purpose and values of education, stating that true education empowers an individual to live independently while inculcating a spirit of sacrifice and selflessness. 'Education that teaches selfishness is not real education,' he declared. He further said that education is not confined to schools alone but extends to the home and society. 'The environment in which children grow up plays a crucial role. Society must reflect on what kind of atmosphere is needed to raise a confident and responsible generation,' Bhagwat said. The conference was attended by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, along with several senior academicians and vice-chancellors from across India. President of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Dr Pankaj Mittal, Secretary Dr Atul Kothari, Coordinator A Vinod, Chairman of Cochin Shipyard Madhu Nair were also present. The event focused on reshaping the country's educational framework in alignment with Indian cultural values and preparing the youth to face future challenges with clarity and confidence.

Govt School Teacher in UP Suspended For Allegedly Making 'Objectionable Remarks' on Kanwar Yatra
New Delhi: A government schoolteacher in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur district was suspended after a student accused him of making 'objectionable remarks' about the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, the Indian Express reported. The incident reportedly occurred after the student sought permission to meet a group of Kanwariyas that included some of her relatives. The teacher, identified as Om Prakash, allegedly denied her request and made remarks that led to protests among villagers. The controversy came to light after two videos went viral, one, showing the student levelling allegations against the teacher, and another purportedly showing Om Prakash admitting to having made a 'mistake'. Om Prakash, a Dalit, was posted as an assistant teacher at the Composite School in Samratpur, Sultanpur. The district's Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), Upendra Gupta, told the Indian Express that the teacher has been suspended prima facie and an inquiry is underway. He said students can be heard in the videos alleging that the teacher made objectionable comments. A colleague of the suspended teacher said the incident took place last Tuesday (July 22) when a group of locals gathered at the school to protest against Om Prakash. The village headman, Rajesh Tiwari, also arrived to calm tensions. 'People told me that a student informed them that on July 17, when she sought permission from Om Prakash to meet a group of Kanwariyas – which included some of her relatives – he not only denied her request but also allegedly made objectionable remarks about those participating in the Kanwar Yatra,' Tiwari recounted, as per the Express report. He added that Om Prakash later came out of the school building and appeared to admit his mistake in front of the crowd.
