Decomposed body of unidentified woman found on Tanjung Sepat beach in Kuala Langat, cops suspect no foul play
Kuala Langat district police chief Superintendent Akmalrizal Radzi said the discovery was made following a distress call received at about 12.45pm, according to a report published by Free Malaysia Today.
'The body was found lying on the shoreline,' he said in a statement.
Initial investigations revealed no signs of foul play, and the case has been classified as sudden death.
Akmalrizal said attempts to trace the woman's next of kin or acquaintances have so far been unsuccessful.
No one has come forward to identify or claim the body.

Wan Azri's lawyer, Rafique Rashid Ali, said the court fixed the date on Tuesday after the prosecution closed its case. Seven witnesses were called to testify. Wan Azri, 41, is accused of making the statement in a post on X, under the account sir_azri, at a condominium in Bukit Bintang at 12pm on April 29. If convicted under the Sedition Act, he faces a maximum fine of RM5,000, up to three years in prison, or both. The court is also expected to rule on July 9 in a separate sedition case involving Wan Azri. In that case, he is accused of claiming in a Facebook video on Nov 8, 2023 that the government is 'pro-Israel and pro-Western nations'.

Govt bans import of dummy seat belt buckles

(File pic) PETALING JAYA : The government has moved to ban the import of mechanisms such as dummy buckles and seat belt alarm stoppers, effective Dec 31. The move was announced through the Customs (Prohibition of Imports) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2025, published in the federal gazette. The order prohibits the import of 'dummy buckles, seat belt alarm stoppers, seat belt clip extenders or any other similar accessory or device intended to be inserted into a seat belt buckle to disable or bypass the safety reminder and render the seat belt mechanism inoperative'. The transport ministry previously said it was in talks with the domestic trade and cost of living ministry to introduce a ban on dummy buckles, following concerns over their widespread use to silence seat belt alarms. During a Chinese New Year traffic operation in Negeri Sembilan, authorities found that nearly 30% of 195 offenders caught for not wearing seat belts had used dummy buckles to avoid triggering the warning alert.

Singapore teen pleads guilty to punching police officer, sharing nudes on Snapchat
SINGAPORE, July 2 — A 19-year-old Singaporean man pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and circulating an intimate image without consent. The incident involving the police officer occurred after a dispute with his father in their Tampines flat, The Straits Times reported. The teenager and his father had both consumed alcohol before their fight escalated on June 5, 2024. His sister called the police, reporting that her brother and father were hitting each other with various objects. Two police officers arrived and attempted to de-escalate the situation, but the teenager remained aggressive. He then punched one officer in the face, fracturing his nose, as police tried to intervene in his scuffle with his father. The injured officer received seven days of medical leave after being examined at Changi General Hospital. In a separate case from July 2022, the teenager distributed a topless picture of a 15-year-old girl he met on Snapchat. The court has requested reports to assess his suitability for probation or reformative training, with sentencing expected in August. Due to his age at the time of the picture offence, the teenager cannot be identified under the Children and Young Persons Act.
