All EastEnders spoilers for next week as unexpected attack rocks Walford
As Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) stages a grand return with unfinished business, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) confronts her brother Oscar's (Pierre Moullier) troubling behaviour.
In the heat of the moment, he launches an attack on an unsuspecting resident. And it soon becomes clear he's targeted the wrong person!
Plus, as the pressure mounts for Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway), he gets dragged deeper into Ravi Gulati's (Aaron Thiara) dangerous dealings.
Here's a look at everything happening next week in Walford…
Alfie is back in Walford after a secret trip to help Zoe, but Kat is furious when she finds out he lied about his whereabouts, thinking he had been supporting Cherry. Alfie reassures her it won't happen again.
Meanwhile, Lauren is alarmed to learn that Mike showed up at the house threatening Oscar. She urges Oscar to get Jack involved for protection, but Oscar tries to handle things on his own.
The situation escalates when Mike and his associate Harrison launch an attack, only for Jack to step in just in time.
With Lauren warning him he's on thin ice, Oscar panics when he spots a hooded figure in the house and lashes out, not realising it's Peter. Peter, in turn, demands that Oscar leave.
Over at Kojo's flat, Harry grows uneasy as George comes close to discovering a hidden stash.
In the aftermath of the attack, Lauren urges Oscar to open up about what drove him to act out, uncovering deeper truths about his past in a youth offender's centre.
Keen to help, Lauren clashes with a reluctant Peter and ends up attending Jimmy's support group alone. Meanwhile, Mike continues to cause trouble for Oscar.
Avani heads off to an appointment, sparking Suki's curiosity. Determined to find out more, Suki questions Barney about where she's gone.
Elsewhere, Ravi briefs Harry on his next illegal job. Kojo, unaware of what's going on, offers to tag along, but Harry and George quickly shut him down.
Harry is pressured into letting Okie conduct criminal activity from Kojo's flat and scrambles to divert George's attention. He turns to Nicola for help creating a distraction.
Meanwhile, Yolande begins to suspect that Patrick is gambling to finance her dream wedding. She gives him an ultimatum: no more betting. Patrick, however, isn't ready to give up just yet.
Elsewhere, emotions run high for Stacey and her children as they commemorate Martin's birthday.
Thursday 31st July:
Patrick hits the jackpot at the races and convinces Howie to keep his win hidden from Yolande. More Trending
Howie feels ashamed when Denzel reveals he had to ask Kim for money, prompting Howie to apply for a bouncer job at Harry's Barn to contribute financially.
When Yolande finds out Patrick has been gambling again, she tells him the wedding is off if he places another bet. Looking for a workaround, Howie suggests placing bets on Patrick's behalf.
Meanwhile, Nicola expresses concern that Harry is in over his head with dangerous people, but he refuses help. Later, she offers George the role of Head of Security at Harry's Barn, potentially changing the dynamic between them all.

Theo's behaviour leaves Todd confused in Corrie as he taken away by the police
Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce)'s relationship with Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in Coronation Street hasn't been plain sailing by any means. It was quickly revealed that Theo was struggling with his sexuality. As their relationship has developed we've learned more about Theo's past and that he endured a very bigoted upbringing in which he was put through conversion therapy to try to 'cure' his gay feelings. This has left him with lasting trauma, and the reappearance of a man called Noah (Richard Winsor) – who was involved in the conversion therapy and still wants to 'save' Theo from himself – has made things so much worse. Noah is in a relationship with Theo's estranged wife, Danielle (Natalie Anderson), and this has further complicated an already difficult situation, with Theo's love for his children being used against him. What doesn't seem to be in doubt is his affection for Todd, with Theo recently suggesting they should try to find a place of their own to live together. But there have been hints that Theo's attitude to Todd can be quite controlling, as we saw when Todd was getting close to James Bailey (Jason Callender) and Theo warned him off. 'We're starting to spot some anger management issues on Theo's part, at the very least,' Gareth Pierce told Metro. 'There's some flashes of anger that have left Todd shocked but equally, because he's had that insight into the conversion therapy and where Theo is coming into this new life from, he's perhaps willing to guide him through it. 'Our audience are probably also spotting some of those flashes of jealousy and perhaps a kind of need to control that maybe Todd is not currently spotting or doesn't want to spot.' This behaviour is in the spotlight again in coming episodes. Todd is excited to hear that the corner shop flat is up for rent and suggests to Theo that they could consider it. But soon Theo is irritated when Todd decides to bring George (Tony Maudsley) to Dev (Jimmi Harkishin)'s stag do. As Todd starts enjoying himself at the party, Theo says he has a headache and insists they go home. Soon after this incident, Theo suggests a night out and is annoyed when Todd says he planned to spend the evening with Summer (Harriet Bibby). When she tells Theo he's very welcome to join them for pizza in front of the telly, he refuses and sulkily says he's going to the pub. There's a more disturbing incident to come. Theo is approached by police officer Jess (Donnaleigh Bailey), who says there's been a report of an incident at the precinct and he needs to come to the police station to answer questions. More Trending A social worker who is there to see Todd is disturbed to hear this and says they'll have to reschedule the meeting and find out whether the crime Theo's accused of is of a violent nature like the last time. This is the first Todd has heard of Theo previously being accused of violent crimes, and he's naturally worried. View More » How will Theo explain things when he gets back? EastEnders star set to make surprise return to the soap three years after leaving Albert Square
An EastEnders star is reportedly set to make surprise return to the soap three years after leaving Albert Square. The character, who first set foot in Albert Square back in 2018 had a spell of intense storylines over the years. Stuart Highway will make an appearance in Walford for a 'limited period,' but is set to cause some drama, according to The Sun. Played by Ricky Champ, 45, he left the soap in 2022 alongside his on-screen wife Rainie Cross (played by Tanya Franks). Stuarts major stories included confessing to accidentally killing DI Steve Thompson (Philip Wright) - who later turned out be alive. He also admitted to being a vigilante paedophile hunter which stemmed from being sexually abused as a child. Stuart was at the centre of a father's post-natal depression storyline, with the character struggling to bond with his baby Roland. He had struggled with his mental health after his diagnosis with breast cancer and had trouble adjusting to parenthood after he and wife Rainie (Tanya Franks) tried for a child for a long time. 'In EastEnders I went from villain to hero to dad,' he told Digital Spy at the time of his exit. 'It was amazing, doing that for five years with a character's arc. It felt weird leaving him,' he admitted. At the time Ricky didn't rule out a return to the soap someday, as he claimed that anything was possible. 'He didn't die. He rode off into the sunset. I think he's somewhere in the North Circular living with Rainie,' he said of his character. Outside of EastEnders, Ricky's additional ventures include his role as Paul Parker in the BBC Three sitcom Him & Her and a Games Of Thrones appearance as Gatins. Daily Mail has contacted the BBC for comment. 'In EastEnders I went from villain to hero to dad,' he told Digital Spy at the time of his exit in 2022 but he will be back for a 'limited period' Elsewhere, an EastEnders legend is facing the sack after a whopping 40 years in job - and fans of the BBC soap aren't happy about it. Beloved character Tracey, who is played by actress Jane Slaughter, has been on the show since 1985. Over the years the barmaid, who rarely has any speaking lines, has become a huge fan favourite while serving many punters at the Queen Vic. But a recent episode of EastEnders raised a few alarm bells with viewers after Kat Slater's (Jessie Wallace) nephew Freddie (Bobby Brazier) put forward the idea of working for her and take over from Tracey. Kat and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) became the new owners of the pub earlier this month, after taking over from Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). During Tuesday's instalment of the BBC show, Freddie asked for a job, but was told that they didn't have enough money for him to join the team behind the bar. Freddie went on to tell Alfie and Kat that he would be able to work for half of what Tracey is currently paid. It's no wonder that the bartender is such a popular character on the show, having been on EastEnders since the very beginning. Tracey appeared on the very first episode back in 1985. She is the longest-serving character to ever take part in the popular programme having no breaks or exits. Although the character rarely says a word on the show, back in 2022 she made a shocking revelation about Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). She confessed that Phil was the 'best sex she's ever had'

Gwyneth Paltrow supports son Moses as he follows in Chris Martin's footsteps
The youngest child of a well-known musician and his acting ex-wife is following in the footsteps of his father by being in a band, who performed at a gig in the US this week The son of a well-known musician is now following in their footsteps by their pursuing a career in music. They took to the stage with their band at a concert earlier this week and their Oscar-winning mother was there for support. Moses Martin, 19, is the youngest child of Coldplay 's Chris Martin, 48, and actor Gwyneth Paltrow, 52. The exes, who split in 2014 before getting divorce, but who have remained on good terms, are also parents to Apple Martin, 21. Like his father, Moses is a member of a band, with him one third of trio Dancer. His group performed at a concert in Chicago recently whilst supporting another band. It comes after Chris issued a warning to his own fans during his first gig with Coldplay since a kiss cam scandal earlier this month. Moses' band Dancer took to the stage at the Thalia Hall in Chicago last night. Alongside his bandmates Orlando and Andy, he opened for duo Royel Otis - who are due to perform at Reading Festival and Leeds Festival soon - at the venue. Prior to the gig, Dancer posted about their appearance on platforms like Instagram. Alongside a video of the trio performing together whilst sat on the back of a truck, they shared details of the gig with their followers. "I love this band," one person reacted to the post. Another wrote in the comments section: "Amazing." Someone else responded to the band's post: "See ya there." Someone else asked: "How can I listen to your songs???" Dancer teased over potential music being released soon, with the band's account replying: "Soon." Gwyneth liked the post and shared her excitement over the upcoming gig in the comments section. Teasing that she would be there to support her son, she wrote: "Can't wait." She later revealed that she was at the show in a post on her own account on the platform. The actor uploaded a photo that was seemingly taken backstage at the venue last night. It showed three microphone kits, each with a band member's name on, and Gwyneth didn't provide any caption. More recently, in a post uploaded to her Instagram Story earlier today, she shared a photo of the band on stage. Gwyneth shared her pride over Moses being a musician in a tribute for his birthday on the platform back in April. She wrote at the time: "Happy birthday [Moses]. Honestly, you are a dream come true. You are deeply kind and brilliant." She continued by writing to him: "You have an incredible intellect and you are so gifted, so talented. I listen to your music on repeat and miss you so much at college. And today more than ever. I love you my boy."
