There is a good news for PM Kisan beneficiaries. The next installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme will be released next month i.e., in August 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse funds during his visit in Varanasi. According to PIB release, PM Modi will visit his constituency Varanasi where he will disburse the next instalment of PM Kisan Samman Niddhi.Since the launch of the scheme in 2019, Rs 3.69 lakh crore has been transferred to farmers' accounts through 19 installments. In the 20th installment, Rs 20,500 crore will be transferred to 9.7 crore farmers.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 20th instalment of PM-Kisan Samman Niddhi for eligible beneficiaries on August 2, 2025 during his visit to Varanasi.The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme offers financial support of Rs.6,000 per year to eligible farmers in three equal installments of Rs.2,000. Each instalment is credited directly to the beneficiary account once in every four months.Eligible farmers should note that completing eKYC is compulsory to receive the 20th instalment. Without completing the eKYC they will not receive the next instalment.Farmers can do it online by visiting pmkisan.gov.in and selecting the 'e-KYC' option. They must enter their Aadhaar number, validate it through an OTP, and submit the verification.To receive the instalment under the PM-Kisan scheme, a farmer must meet certain eligibility criteria. The applicant must be an Indian citizen and own cultivable land with valid land records. Additionally, the farmer must link their Aadhaar number to their bank account and complete eKYC verification to ensure timely disbursal of the benefit. Farmers who are income tax payers, pensioners, or employed in government/public sector jobs are not eligible for the scheme.There are following three modes of eKYC available to the farmers of the PM Kisan scheme (i) OTP-based e-KYC (available on PM-Kisan Portal and Mobile App).(ii) Biometric based e-KYC (available at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendra (SSKs))(iii) Face authentication-based e-KYC (available on PM Kisan Mobile app which is used by millions of farmers).Step 1: Visit the official PM Kisan Website.Step 2: Access the Beneficiary Status Page.Step 3: Click on "Beneficiary Status"Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar Number or Account Number.Step 5: Click on "Get Data"Step 6: View Beneficiary Status.Step 7: Check for Payment Status.Your beneficiary status will be shown on the screen when the system processes

West Bengal records 12% growth in GST collection for July: CM Mamata

West Bengal has registered a 12 per cent year-on-year growth in gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for July 2025, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Monday, citing provisional figures released by the Centre. In a post on X, Banerjee said the state collected Rs 5,895 crore in GST revenue last month, up from Rs 5,257 crore in July 2024. "Glad to share that West Bengal has reported a robust 12 per cent year-on-year growth in gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for July 2025, recording collection of Rs 5,895 crore, compared to Rs 5,257 crore in the same month last year, according to provisional figures just released by the Government of India," she said. "Cumulative growth rate in our state's GST revenue till the month of July is 7.71 per cent. This marks a steady improvement in business and consumption in West Bengal, which is a sign of good economic health," she added. Banerjee's remarks come at a time when her government has been highlighting economic recovery and resilience in the state following the opposition parties' allegations of economic decline in the state.
