Fans are Convinced Marvel is Going to Kill Off Thor in Recent Post from Chris Hemsworth

Geek Feed30-05-2025
With Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans bowing out of the MCU after Endgame , it was Chris Hemsworth who was left behind to keep reprising Thor for Marvel Studios.
With him expected to make an appearance in Doomsday , a lot of fans are convinced that this could be Hemsworth's last time as the God of Thunder because of a recent statement he made. Hemsworth (via @CultureCrave) wrote:
'Playing Thor has been one of the greatest honors of my life. For the last 15 years I've held Mjolnir and then Stormbreaker as the God of Thunder, but what made it truly special… was sharing it with all of you. Your passion, your cheers, and your love for this character have meant everything to me'
'Thank you for making my journey through the MCU unforgettable.. Next up, Doomsday!'
At this point, everyone was already convinced that this means that they could be killing him off in the movie. Fans have replied with, 'Ya he's getting cooked ,' and, ' Oh he's not coming back after Doomsday.'
With all of his other co-stars having moved on, it would make sense for Hemsworth to drop out of the MCU eventually. After all, he did go public with a diagnosis of him being susceptible to Alzheimer's disease, and it's possible he could be taking the time to process that.
Personally, I was just hoping that they kept him around in a limited role. Thor eventually takes the place of Odin in the comics, and it would have been great if Hemsworth could just stick around in a chair ruling Asgard and being mentor to a new Thor.
For now, fans wait for Avengers: Doomsday which comes out Dec. 18, 2026.

Fans are Reacting to Rumors of a Bald Timothee Chalamet for Dune: Messiah

Ever since Timothee Chalamet has been in the spotlight, he's more or less sported the same kind of hairstyle from Call Me By Your Name to Wonka . With work starting for Dune: Messiah soon, word is coming out that Chalamet is actually going bald this time. The rumor comes from @SolaceCinema who says that Chalamet has shaved his head for Messiah , and that the movie is expecting a 'massive tonal and stylistic shift'. While no official photos of Chalamet have come out, several of his fans have already been reacting and the edits have also found their way to Twitter. ❔️ — ⓖ 🇦🇺 (@agirlfromperth) July 7, 2025 So far this looks like a photo of Chalemet sporting a buzz cut, but it's not really the full head: OMG BUZZ CUT!!?? — ⓖ 🇦🇺 (@agirlfromperth) July 7, 2025 While a buzz cut would be a new look for Chalamet, some fans think that it would be a thematic visual change, seeing that the Harkonnens were famously hairless in Villeneuve's Dune movies. Maybe Paul looking like a Harkonnen would be a subtle hint as his fall from grace. With all the changes that Villeneuve has introduced in Dune: Part Two , a lot of fans are wondering just how Messiah will change things when it comes to the overall story. After all, a lot of people have said that the following books in the series, though weird, don't hold a candle to the first Dune book. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Dune: Messiah is expected to come out Dec. 16, 2026.

RDJ Messages Dominique Thorne on the Premiere Day of Ironheart: 'I've Grown So Fond of You, It's Bananas'

The comics may have touted Ironheart as the successor of Tony Stark, but too bad the MCU had to kill him off before he could even meet Riri Williams. That being said, the premiere day of Ironheart saw Robert Downey Jr. himself sending a message to Dominique Thorne and congratulating her on the show. Check this out: Robert Downey Jr. celebrated the premiere of #Ironheart tonight with a special call to Dominique Thorne! Watch: — MCU – The Direct (@MCU_Direct) June 24, 2025 Admittedly, it's been an uphill battle for Ironheart even before the show was announced. Several 'anti-woke' channels have been bashing the show even before it released, and a lot of people have also been review-bombing the series. RDJ's endorsement though, it's greatly appreciated by the fans, and they take this as a sign that he's standing by Thorne and the character and wants fans to check out the show. Though Riri may have lost the edge of her Wakanda tech, the series is going in an interesting direction in that they're making her go up against a magic-based villain—kind of like the original Iron Man and his clash with the Mandarin in the comics. I am curious to see how they're going to deal with Alden Ehrenreich's character though. With him being related to Iron Man's first villain, everyone is expecting some kind of betrayal to happen; but maybe Ryan Coogler and the rest of the writers have something else in store for the show. We'll just have to wait and see. Ironheart is now available on Disney+.
