Katie Price pulls out of Glasgow Pride gig just hours before being due to perform
Katie Price left her fans disappointed after she dropped out of a public appearance at the last minute. The former glamour model was scheduled to attend Glasgow Pride on Saturday, July 19, but backed out of the event due to "another urgent obligation."
Katie, 47, was slated to appear alongside headliners Miriana Conte, Subwoolfer, Kelly Llorenna and Karen Dunbar at the bash. But she decided against making the trip to Scotland for an as yet undisclosed reason.
The cancellation comes just weeks after Katie and her close friend and former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona pulled out of another PA when they were due to headline Barnsley Pride. They cancelled that appearance due to "unforeseen circumstances" and "personal reasons," with an explanation in full not given.
An announcement shared to the Glasgow Pride Instagram account on Saturday confirmed that Katie was no longer going to be attending the event, as organisers wrote, "Unfortunately, Katie Price is not able to attend Glasgow's Pride 2025 due to another urgent obligation. But we do have a message for those who attend Pride!"
They then revealed that the event would go ahead hosted by "Showbiz Lion Bev Lyons. Glasgow's own Queen, Miss Bella Houston. And introducing the brilliant Lee Cammy and Garry King!"
Fans however were not impressed and took to the comments section of the post to share their dismay. One wrote, "Oh I'm not going now, Katie price isn't there," as a second questioned, "Is Katie price not going anymore??"
A third attendee slammed the reasoning as they posted, "Urgent obligation' what a load of bs," while another social media user quipped, "WHERE IS MS PRICE GONE?"
Attendees of Barnsley Pride faced the same disappointment when Katie and Kerry pulled out with a Facebook post reading, "We sincerely apologise to all our visitors who are looking forward to joining us for our Barnsley Pride 2025 events.
"Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Katie Price will no longer be headlining our Funny Gals Main Stage / After Dark Official Pride Afterparty. We want to make it clear that this is beyond our control and that we are genuinely disappointed, as we were very excited to have her as part of our line-up of amazing acts."
The organiser's statement continued, "Additionally, the original headliner, Kerry Katona, also had to cancel due to personal reasons. The entire team here at Funny Gals shares in this disappointment, and we deeply regret any inconvenience or disappointment caused."
Back in May Katie and Kerry also cancelled their entire "tell all" tour, which had been scheduled to visit venues around the UK. An Evening With Katie Price & Kerry Katona was given the axe when Katie was reportedly prevented from committing due to her "busy schedule."
A source told The Sun, "Katie is gutted and tried everything she could to make it work but she has had to step away from the tour because she has childcare commitments and also a very busy schedule."

Ozzy Osbourne tributes as Rod Stewart and Elton John remember Black Sabbath frontman
Sports stars and influencers also paid their respects, as did an animal charity. Music legend Elton John described Ozzy Osbourne as a "dear friend" tonight - as the showbiz world came to terms with the frontman's shock death. Black Sabbath singer Ozzy, who suffered from Parkinson's disease, died just weeks after a phenomenal farewell gig at his beloved Villa Park in Birmingham. And Sir Rod Stewart also took to social media while defiantly accepting his own journey towards the exit door, saying he and Ozzy will be reunited for a gig in the sky. Singer-songwriter Sir Elton, 78, posted on Instagram: "So sad to hear the news of Ozzy Osbourne passing away. He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods - a true legend. "He was also one of the funniest people I've ever met. I will miss him dearly. To Sharon and the family, I send my condolences and love. Elton xx." Crooner Sir Rod, 80, who recently performed at Glastonbury, also posted on Instagram. He said: "Bye, bye Ozzy. Sleep well, my friend. I'll see you up there - later rather than sooner." Former boxing world champion Frank Bruno MBE wrote: "RIP Ozzy Osbourne. We met several times years ago. He called me "Big man" when he asked me if I liked Rock music. "I said "Soul & Reggae was my thing". He said "Give me a day big man and you will love Rock music". A character, a funny man and a legend who we will not see the likes of ever again." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Flavor Flav posted pics of him and Ozzy and the Public Enemy rapper, who has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, told of his heartache at his compatriot's passing. He wrote on "Real heart broken over the passing of Ozzy Osbourne. We go way back and it was a real honor to watch him get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year." Alongside a throwback pic and a more recent snap of them together, he added: "Sending my love and prayers to Sharon and his kids and whole family. RIP." The black and white picture, which showed them both making the peace sign, had been posted on Ozzy's official Facebook page - which has 12 million followers - back in 2017. American music, politics and popular culture publication Rolling Stone referred to Ozzy as "the singular metal legend whose Black Sabbath virtually invented heavy metal and in later years became a reality TV pioneer". Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore Tweeted a picture of fans at Villa Park with an Ozzy display saying 'Up the Villa'. The post read: "Rest in peace, Ozzy." Welsh YouTube prankster Ben Phillips said on Facebook: "It is heartbreaking to hear that the great Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at 76 years of age." The social media star, who has more than 4.5million subscribers on the video platform, added: "Farewell Ozzy Osbourne: The Prince of Darkness Has Left Us – The End of an Era in Rock Music." And Lisa Lange, Senior Vice President of animal charity PETA, said tonight: " Ozzy Osbourne was a legend and a provocateur, but PETA will remember the 'Prince of Darkness' most fondly for the gentle side he showed to animals. "Most recently cats, by using his fame to decry painful, crippling declawing mutilations. Ozzy may have been the singer, but his wife, Sharon, and his daughter, Kelly, were of one voice when it meant protecting animals. "Ozzy will be missed by animal advocates the world over." Ozzy famously bit the head off a live bat on stage during a gig - while performing at Des Moines, Iowa, in 1982 - believing it to be rubber after it had been thrown on stage. Real name John Michael Osbourne, Ozzy released 22 studio albums between 1970 and 2022 - nine with Black Sabbath, and 13 solo albums, with the last in 2022.

Oleksandr Usyk is one of boxing's greats – but he'll never be able to enjoy success due to horrors of Ukraine war
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) OLEKSANDR USYK'S fame and fortune is a 'curse' while his friends and countrymen are lying dead in trenches and bomb sites. Derek Chisora lost a 12-round decision against the two-weight undisputed genius in 2020 but the pair bashed up an unlikely bromance. Del Boy was ringside to watch Usyk's latest four-belt crowning over Daniel Dubois on Saturday night at Wembley, cementing his place as a generational talent and a multi-millionaire. But he told our Split Decision YouTube show that all the belts and cash in the world are wasted on the devout 38-year-old, while Vladimir Putin lays siege to his home and slaughters his nation. Chisora explained: 'He has made so much money but he can't enjoy it because his country is at war. He is cursed. 'He can't go on holiday in St Tropez and sunbathe and drink tequila because his friends are in the trenches. 'He can't enjoy his money. He can't because he is all Ukraine has right now." Since the 2022 invasion, Usyk has scythed through British boxing's best big men. 5 Usyk is a proud Ukrainian Credit: Getty CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS After Chisora was outpointed, the gap-toothed southpaw did almost faultless doubles over Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and now 27-year-old Dubois. And the Englishman reckons the sickening onslaught his people are facing is inspiring him in a way that transcends sport. Oleksandr Usyk has press conference in stitches as he NAMES the left hook that floored Daniel Dubois at Wembley He said: 'The population is going down because so many people, young men, are dying. 'It's so difficult for him but it's also why he is so dedicated, he is doing it for his whole nation. 'If it's your destiny then it's your destiny. If God says it's your path then nothing will take you away from it.' Arguments about cross-generation fantasy fights will rage on in pubs and online forums. But Chisora tries to keep it short and sweet. He added: 'Usyk is 100 per cent a top-10 heavyweight and he is in my top-five. 'European amateur champion, Olympic gold medalist, undisputed cruiserweight world champion and two-time undisputed heavyweight champion. 'What more else can he do? He has whooped us all. He has taken the p***!'
